When browsing in some websites such as "facebook.com", "mozilla.org", "lenovo.com", I sometimes get a popup to this link, but I don't have any kind of extension that could be causing that I think. What would be a way to troubleshoot this so that I can prevent that from happening? It's really annoying and the site also seems really sketchy.

Hello, I have a problem, where many bookmarks from my old device are synchronized to my current Firefox browsers (on PCs) even when old device is removed months ago. What worse, when sync is performed, it duplicates tabs, now in "Bookmarks menu" I have albost 2000 bookmarks what are duplicates od ~20/30 ofer month. If Firefox do sync now on 2nd PC, I will get again 2000 and plus something bookmarks. Deleting it gives nothing. It comes back again and again. Normal Bookmarks tabalso gets old tabs and duplicates.

I'm wondering if anyone can help me here. I use Google Fi to make and receive calls from my browser. I accidentally denied microphone permissions to Google Fi from the Firefox dropdown prompt and I cannot find how to get it back.

When I click the dropdown menu, I see no options to enable or disable permissions. I also do not see anything listed in the Security settings of the browser. When I check the google fi settings, I see it complaining about denied permissions though.

I've attached screenshots. Does anyone know where I can revoke the blocked permissions?

Hi. I bought new pc, and i'm trying to set up mozilla with all my passwords and bookmarks, from old pc. But after i logged in, bookmarks and passwords dont appear in a browser. I had so much important stuff there that im now kinda scared. Thanks for any help in advance

I recently had to factory reset my computer and had to download and sync my firefox account all over again. It's been a week and firefox is still syncing, none of my bookmarks, add-ons, history or top sites on the new tab are showing up. Thankfully, it appears that most of my passwords have been synced.

I've read some other threads for tips and can confirm that I don't have this account logged in to other devices and I don't have a vpn or proxy running. I am able to obtain the sync logs but I have no idea how to read it.

How can I make the bookmarks, add-ons, history and top sites sync faster?

Firefox has started making a piercing high-pitched screech when the "save image" and "file update" panels appear. This is a confirmation or alert sound I suppose. It occurs when saving an image from a right-click menu and when downloading a file. Formerly Firefox used the system default sound for this, and that sound is still working in other programs for similar operations.

How can I fix this? Or alternatively how can I disable the sound during such operations in Firefox (or alternatively system-wide)?

So, for awhile now when I go to some sites, the screen suddenly starts flashing, then it jitters and turns some light color (like a light green; not blue screen, not black). If I guess where the "X" is to shut down the tab that has the video, I can end this. Often, like on youtube, I find the problem is some ad video that was playing. The rest of the site is ok. But not always.

It happens in lots of places, though. It is not per se a YouTube problem or just a problem at NBCSports. I shell out to MS Edge, and it seems to handle everything fine, so I'm assuming at this point it is a browser issue.

One last point: after this happen the screen display is degraded even after I manage to shut down the offending tab or video. It takes a Log off/log back in or reboot to fix everything. The degradation takes the form of making the screen look a bit like a pointilist painting, although that's an exaggeration.

Hello, I have my privacy settings set to NOT save credit card information yet in this past week, on two different new to me websites, my credit card information was already there. Why would this be happening and how do I stop it? Thank you so much! Julie

I've been making my own Firefox theme using the Firefox Color extension. I uploaded an image but I can't figure out how to show the image on the new tab screen. Setting the new tab page color to transparent only makes everything white. I know the image is uploaded correctly because I can see some of it in the toolbar and tab list. Is it possible to show the image on the new tab page?

My wife has a desktop and a laptop. She wants to move 2 or 3 folders only, not the whole thing, nor merge ALL the bookmarks. Lets say 2 of the bookmark folders are called "Eyes" and Birds. She wants to copy those 2 folders, with their links inside the folder from her desktop FIREFOX and want to add them to her laptop FIREFOX Bookmarks Toolbar. Add them, not replace any of the bookmarks on the laptop, not overwrite anything else. How do I copy a folder from one FIREFOX running computer and put it on a USB drive to then ADD to the Bookmarks Toolbar on her laptop? I can right click and choose COPY but then when I try to "paste" the "paste" is greyed out.

In trying to solve my problem, I am going from bad to worse! Embarrassing! Screenshot of Chinese character issue is attached. Also, when I try to sign into Firefox from that page - https://support.cdn.mozilla.net/hi-IN/questions/1381354 - I am blocked from signing in. Somehow I am signed in now, but not sure how. duh! So first, the Chinese characters I need to solve, THEN have a question about an issue with mailto - no gmail default option. I have legacy handlers downloaded, kindly provided by jscher2000. Thank you! Do I drag his legacy handlers into my profile, if I am able to do so? I have tried all other suggestions on this problem. I really hope not to have to start anew with Firefox, because I have years of settings I am afraid I will lose. (Know it is doable, but I am a coward, as well as stupid, apparently.) Whenever I use Firefox 109.0 (on Ubuntu 22.04) to transfer money between savings and checking in my online banking account, I get a window pop-up that says "No Apps Available". This is something going on my bank's servers and shouldn't require Firefox or any local helper apps on my end to do anything. I will post the window that pops up. Has anyone else encountered this? And is there a way to disable these pop-up?

So I'm trying to make a theme with an APNG of an ECG reading, but the bottom is totally cut off. I've tried aligning it differently, customizing the toolbar, and getting a smaller APNG with no dice. Is there a way I can extend it into the rest of the toolbar like so many other themes seem to do just fine?

How can I turn off the new Facebook Comment popup? I want to use the old version where the comments are listed under the original pots not in a seperate narrow popup window.

I'm trying to get rid of these blue selector things. Apologies that I don't know what they're called. They appear at random times and I cannot force them to appear. Just happens randomly it seems when some text is selected.

Can something in the about:config be toggled to disable this?

I have never used a primary/master password. I updated to 109.0.1 on a computer that had not been used for a few weeks. I do NOT sync FF on any computer. "Use Primary Password" is NOW checked on this 2nd computer. (never used or needed before) In order to try to change this, I was required to enter my password. When I enter the password I use to access mozilla support (the only FF password I have ever had), nothing happens and I do not get any options, i.e., forgot password. I have never been requested to enter a password on any computer (to access FF; only to reach mozilla support.) On my primary computer, "Use Primary Password" is not checked, as it should not be. Thanks in advance.

There used to be icons for the few addons I use like AdBlock Utlimate. Now with Firefox 109.0 in OpenMandriva Linux v. 23.90 and 23.01 or with Firefox 109.0.1 tar.bz2 from Mozilla website they are gone. Problem occurs with Ublock Origin and the DeepL Multi-translate addon also. (I use AdBlock Ultimate or Ublock Origin, not both at same time.)

I do not know if this is something in Firefox or something in OpenMandriva Linux but would like to find out soon if possible.

The only work around I have is to use an old profile. My best guess is that profile may be from time of v. 103-104 or there about.

Hi, I've been trying to transfer from Chrome to Firefox but have been experiencing a graphical error with primarily the toolbar in Google Docs. The places where icons should be denoting what each button does are empty - I do not have any extensions, plugins, or themes installed that would be causing this. I did install the Dark Reader extension to see if it would show icons when using it, which it did not. It actually is not exclusive to the toolbar, as drop-down menus that would normally have icons do not either. I tested in both Microsoft Edge and Chrome and this issue does not arise on either.

While Docs has been the primary issue, it persists across all Google Drive apps (Sheets, Slides, Drawings, and more). My version of Firefox is up to date and I am on an HP laptop running Windows 10. If anyone is able to help diagnose the issue at hand or direct me to another support thread where this issue has been resolved, it would be highly appreciated. Thank you so much!
