I know this question has been posed more than once in the past. The answer has always been: go back to school, learn computer programming, get master classes and practice with coding until you make it. I am using Watefox since when Firefox tab bar was moved close to the sky. I just decided to try Firefox again: I have installed it and the first thing I tried to do is moving the tab bar below the address bar. It seems that there's no easy way. How can it be?, I wondered. With Waterfox I use the Tabs on Bottom add-on and that's it. You may believe my need is frivolous, but for me that makes the difference between keeping or uninstalling Firefox. Bottom line: is still forbiddend to wish to get the tab bar where I believe it should be? Thanks,

I also lost all my tools like the printer button. However I know how to configure it to get my tools back under Customization. I need to know if there is a way to update where I don't have to redo everything especially customizing my tabs to be curved as someone sent me steps on here and I only did it once so I would need the steps again.

When you update you should not lose your settings and customization's.

Can someone help me update correctly where everything sync 's with what my current version has?

I've been using Firefox Beta on Android for a while now.

Recently my household purchased a Roku, a type of HTPC. While I was watching a video in Firefox Beta, I noticed a new button in the video UI, that said "Cast to <my Roku model>". You can read more about this feature here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/use-firefox-android-send-videos-your-roku

How do I disable this functionality? I appreciate Mozilla adding convenient features, but I don't want to be in my room watching a private video, accidentally press this button (it's right next to the other controls), and have my video play on the living room TV where my roommate is sitting.

If there is an upgrade or even minor update to Firefox, I end up with Bing as the search-engine again and, frankly, I loathe Bing. Is there any way I can stop this? I reset it to default to DuckDuckGo, time and again, but as soon as the default matters, it fails to activate itself. Thanks for any help!

After 10 years... my users expect an end-user-friendly, reliable browser. Sadly, IE or even Chrome now match that description better than Firefox 63+.

(Feel free to break these into separately-trackable issues, if you like)

1. Please purge ALL non-essential animations currently built into the product (as opposed to a website, obviously.) All animations *on the Firefox-generated tabs* are extraneous, CPU-robbing and distracting. End-users expect a reliable, consistent, non-distracting product.

2. Don't require CSS (code) changes to work around product defects (like dysfunctional on-tab animations). Provide a user-friendly setting to block *all* Firefox-provided animation effects, some of which can cause medical-related reactions for some users (I used to be in that category).

3. Fix the damn yellow-bar warnings, once and for all. "A web page is slowing down your browser" is NOT a helpful diagnostic; but we've been seeing it for years now. Please replace it with something that will lead customers to figure out how to solve it. For starters, report WHAT site is triggering the yellow-bars.

4. Please don't assume users all have high-end CPUs; do some release testing with (e.g.) Celeron 900-based laptops. (Yes, you can "subcontract" those tests to me ;)

No add-ons coming from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/ can be installed in my Mac, all because of a single issue ("Download failed. Please check your connection."). I've noticed that images in this site cannot load properly as well. I checked the console and it seems that the GET request was responded with 404. Install requests sent to other websites seem to be working. I successfully installed zotero from its website and some other add-ons via downloaded .xpi files. However, some .xpi's cannot be installed directly either. I got a message saying this add-on appears to be corrupt.

I duckduckwent this issue and tried all the following solutions (though none has helped): 1. Added "xpinstall.enabled => true" and "xpinstall.signatures.required => false" in about:config; 2. Downloaded the .xpi file directly using other browsers, but when I tried to add it manually, I got the message saying this add-on is corrupt. 3. I tried InstallTrigger.install({URL: "https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/file/1168281/adblock_plus-3.4.2-an+fx.xpi?src=search"}) in the console and still got the connection error. I clicked on several install links in add-ons websites and they came back with 404. I think these links were redirecting me to addons.mozilla.org.

I don't have any antivirus software in my Mac, at least not that I know of. I enabled "allow site to install add-ons" and "allow pop-ups", etc.

When any PDF contains bookmarks, the built-in PDF viewer defaults the navigation pane open to the bookmarks tab. It also flows the navigation pane OVER the PDF content when launched. If I maximize the window, the nav pane will dock to the side and allow the full document to be viewed, but not when it is first launched. Is there a way for me to change the behavior and only expose the nav pane if I choose to open it?

Thanks!

I keep lots of Firefox windows open with varying amounts of tabs open in each. I've used the Undo Close Tab command more times than I can count when I hit the wrong button accidentally within a window. Unfortunately I accidentally hit the close button on my most important window instead of the tab in the next window over and I can't figure out how to get my window back. I'm on a Windows 10 64 bit computer running Firefox version 64. A friend of mine pointed out that I wouldn't be having this problem if I bookmarked every website I wanted to go to instead of just keeping them all open all the time, and I guess she has a point, but aside from being a bit lazy, it's also about having found a particular spot within the website that I want to be able to get back to, and you can't keep bookmarking all of those. I'd appreciate any help anyone can come up with to help me find some or all of the tabs I lost in that window. Thank you very much for trying!

Firefox 64.0.2 (64-bit) will not sync my Notes. I installed it through testpilot. I use Sync without issues to sync my Bookmarks. I click on the "Sign in to Sync" field, which shows the sign-in page, I sign in, and it returns me to the Notes bar where the field now reads "Reconnect to Sync", and after a while "Activate your Account". I also get a mail "New sign in to Sync". Did this several times, and on two different PC - a Laptop with Windows 10 and a desktop with Windows 7. My Android account has Notes connect to Sync without any issues. I tried the same with Noscript and ublock disabled. Thanks a lot for any pointers
