Hey friends... recently, I stopped being able to read my local newspaper online, on Firefox. I've tried other browsers (yuck!) and it works just fine on those. I have my Browser Privacy set to normal, I have all ad blocking turned off for this site, cache has been cleared... not sure what else to do. Screenshot attached! I really don't want to have to use nasty old Chr0me to read the newspaper so I hope someone can help. :)

I have the Firefox in both my PC and laptop. Both my PC and laptop have dual boot Windows 10 and Ubuntu 20.04 with the latest updates. Firefox is in version 87 also fully updated in both OS in both machines. When I try to download anything whatever the size of the file is I see the little that shows downloading has started and then it vanishes and shows that the download has failed. I've already tried cleaning the cache, the history and the downloads history but nothing worked in any of my systems. Can anyone please help?

How does one turn off the Firefox Updates completely ? I have disabled the auto updates but with multiple FF windows open the update request tab that comes up is causing me problems. There needs be an option to turn it off completely so only manual updates can be done.

Its getting to the stage with this where I will dump Firefox completely if this isnt done.

Also feedback to Mozilla has been disabled for months. Whats happening there ?

No, this is not me asking for Firefox to start learning what FLoC cohort I'm in and boost the tracking on the web.

I generally impersonate Chrome when I browse the internet, just to make myself less distinct online. Recently, Google has detected my browser as suspicious when I try to sign in to certain accounts. I assume this is because Firefox is no longer behaving like Chrome, since FLoC does not exist in Firefox. For this reason, I was wondering if there could be a feature where we can randomize the FLoC cohorts Firefox sends out, or configure a specific one to send, to better mimic Chrome.

4/15/21 Hi I have reviewed the posts of individuals (draculas.tomb, jscher2000, chasdobie) from 3/11-3/18/2021; who were having a similar problem accessing the email account through centurylink.net. I tried the suggested fixes through confirming DNS and changing TLS, and I still cannot access my email account. I get an error "redir.peridot.synacor.com/?to=zmail&u_d..." Are there any other suggestions to resolve this issue?

In previous Versions of Firefox 85.0b9 and below enabling Silent Printing would open a second tab, print from that tab then, leaving that tab open return to the first tab so I could continue on scanning more items. 86.0 and above it remains on the new print tab and I have to manually switch back to the first tab. Is there anyway to correct this?

Also rolling back to 85.0b9 does not work as even if you disable auto updates it updates anyway.

Please please somebody help me.

I have been a fan of the awesomebar for quite some time; tab selection using % enables progress after chaotic web surfing and bookmark searching using * circumvents the need of retracing already known websites. (I have removed suggestions and history though, I find that those are mostly in the way.)

One limitation for me as a programmer is that while searching for Python helps me find the correct bookmarks, including C in a search is not helpful, as a c anywhere in a bookmark will give a hit. This even goes for '.com'! The same problem occurs when searching for bookmarks in the bookmark library.

My suggested improvement would be to allow search terms to be interpreted narrowly. This could be done by adding quotes, for example "C" (single quotes could also work).

Is this already possible in some way? And if not, where would be the best place to suggest the improvement? [feedback page reads "Please check back soon"] ( and I'm not sure whether this suits the Bugzilla platform.

I've recently started seeing Firefox not displaying correctly. This includes the page itself as well as the tabs. Letters will be missing, colors incorrect, as well as just being illegible as in the images provided. Image 1 - tab names missing and the green color is not the correct one for that part of the page. Image 2 - Get Help menu options unreadable along with tab names missing.

Is there any way to stop Firefox automatically installing updates on Linux? It's incredibly disruptive when I'm in the middle of work, open a new tab and Firefox says it needs to be restarted to install updates. When in this state, opening new tabs yields the same result. I'm using 87.0 built for Ubuntu, installed out of the package repo.

Dear Mozilla Community,

I would like to suggest you to make built in adblocker in Firefox. For example Opera have this feature so we don't need install any extension. People from Mozilla read subjects in support.mozilla.org? If not where I can send my suggestion?

P.S. I wanted to install Adblock Plus extension but I am afraid about safety so better option is to make built in adblocker to protect from malware. I think that this can be direction in good way.

Yours faithfully, Piotr
