In the 'new and improved' release of FF, when I open a new tab, instead of getting my home page which is which is the obvious starting point for ANY new tab, I get some god awful splash page with all kinds of thumbnails of various pages I have visited. This is 100% totally useless to me. How do I get this fixed so a new tab works the way it is supposed to? I tried installing a plug in but it disabled itself immediately and had an orange bar nest to it in the add on list.
I REALLY do appreciate the hard work that developers put into projects like this. I just wish they would quit fixing things that are not broken just to be able to say they have a 'new nd improved' release!

is there an easy way to duplicate a tab, like right click and select duplicat as in IE, just right slick on the tab and select duplicate tab. IO know there are a few work arounds requiring a few key strokes but I dislike memorizing multiple keystroke shortcuts. There has to be a really simple one click selection way to duplicate a tab (just like in IE) that I just can not seem to find.

I am currently running the newest version of Firefox. When I open up options under general, in the Tabs section I am only showing 4 of the 6 options. I do not have check boxes for warn me when closing multiple tabs or warn me when opening multiple tabs might slow down Firefox. These used to be showing and I'm not sure why they aren't now. I am adding a screenshot showing how it looks under General in my options.
This is quite strange, I wouldn't have noticed anything except I had multiple tabs open today. When I clicked the red X in the corner to shut them all down, instead of asking me it just shuts whichever tab I have open one by one.
Thanks for your assistance.

Unlike other posters who describe crashes while trying to stream Netflix due to Silverlight issues, the movies will in fact stream, but so slowly they are unwatchable. The audio keeps going but the video freezes and then skips. This has only begun to happen with the last 1 or 2 Firefox updates, and the last update is what has made Netflix unusable. I've spoken to Netflix tech support and their suggestion was to install Google Chrome and use it to stream Netflix. I will do this if I must, but would prefer Firefox if you folks can come up with a fix for this.

How to setup page size while print? Currently using Firefox 41.0 and it does not allow preview with different page size. Without this feature printing is very difficult specially when page size is different.
Although it support page size change at printer dialogue box but without any preview and for this sometimes final print output is just waste of paper and ink.

After I updated Firefox to version 41.0.2 on Windows 7, I can no longer use Fiddler4 to decrypt HTTPS traffic because the root certificate exported from Fiddler is no longer being recognized by Firefox. Firefox appears to be rejecting the "wildcard" domain name used in the certificates generated by Fiddler. It always gives the error "ssl_error_bad_cert_domain".
For example, going to https://login.comcast.com with Fiddler turned on:
login.comcast.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is only valid for *.comcast.com (Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)
It is especially a problem for sites using HSTS (HTTP Strict Transport Security) such as google.com, because an exception cannot be added for these sites and it requires the root CA to be recognized.
www.google.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is only valid for *.google.com (Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)
I have tried clearing all history and website permissions, deleting the cert8.db file, disabling/re-enabling the HTTPS decryption and regenerating the certificate in Fiddler, removing the Fiddler-generated root certificate from the certificate authorities list in Firefox and re-adding it, all to no avail. I could not find any documentation online for this issue, as the Telerik website indicates that adding the certificate to the root CAs in Firefox options should be enough.
What has changed in Firefox, and why would the browser fail to recognize these root certificates? Is there some new further security tightening that's been introduced?
Is anyone else able to update Firefox and use the normal method of adding the Fiddler root CA? Do you run into the same problem or does it work for you?

This disturbed me and I would like to undo the security exceptions I have made, but don't know how to access this feature.

I recently got a new computer set up. I set up a Sync account, to get all of my info over properly. Everything seemed to install fine, no problem. But my add-ons are acting funny. I can open Firefox a few times, no issue. All of my add-ons are active, in their proper places on my toolbars, everything. Then I open it, I go to look at my add-ons, and it tells me I have no extensions (but I still see those that I have shown on my toolbars (such as the buttons for a download manager, ad-block, session manager, personas, etc...) I close firefox, reopen it, and I have a dozen "install add-on" tabs pop up asking me if I want to install add-ons that I did have, until that moment, already installed. I de-selected the add-on sync feature, and thought everything was fine, but it did it again a good day after I had deselected that sync option, so not sure what it's doing. TL:DR- Firefox keeps swearing I don't have add-ons, even when I see them on my screen (just not in extensions tab), and restarting Firefox asks me to reinstall all add-ons I already had.

I just got the update on my Firefox to 41.0.1 (funnelcake June 2015). [Don't know what funnel cake is].
Anyway, new tabs are now opening with the Firefox new tab page. I previously had customized the newtab url to about:blank and that setting is still there, but apparently ignored.
I tried changing it to about:newtab, exit, restart, then change to about:blank and exit, restart again, this did not help.

Now I can prevent deleting the google cookies, but I just want only to keep the cookie witch stores the search settings. Specific the Google Instant predictions, never show instant results. and 50 results per page. All other cookies I prefer to be deleted after quitting firefox. If the cookies were stored individually in a map, you could make them read only. But they are stored in a sqlite file/database, so this is not possible. Pity. Is there still a workaround to archive what I want?
