A friend did a friend did a horrible and stupid thing. He answered the wrong way when asked how to handle WMA files. He chose iTunes (thinking "why would you choose an MS product?). Now iTunes refuses to let it go. We've even re-installed Flip4Mac. Before wiping his drive and re-installing Leopard, then Firefox. I was wondering if there was a way to reverse his answer. We can't get iTunes to NOT open. Is the setting in iTunes? Is it in Firefox? If so, can you delete the WMA line and start all over? If so, how? You can't right click the line and there seems to be no way to delete. When you look at the list of how it's handled, why is one thing (quicktime player) default but the plugin is what you choose? The MIME screen is incredibly esoteric. Is it in System Prefs> Quicktime?
Also, is there any ETA when gov agencies will stop using wma forever?
thanks
-Rudyard
btw- we've messed with it so much I really want to delete the WMA MIME line, re-install F4Mac and try that route.

On occasion when I click links in Firefox nothing happens. The connection doesn't seem to be made, I can click repeatedly, and still it doesn't follow the link. Then when I open a new tab, or window, and paste the same link, it goes instantly. Someone mentioned that this may be a Firefox addon problem. Is there any solution to this non-connecting problem I seem to be having?

....and having excruciating problems!!!
I have an absolutely APPALLING memory! And so have to use a password manager. I had problem very early on with FF's own so was recommended to SXIPPER. Lately it has been behaving stupidly with the worst thing being it suddenly starts to tell me it is "deleting all your passwords!" That would be a total disaster! I aske3d for support, waited about ten days and was rewarded with the message that they area aware of this and are looking into it? Sorry but not good enough for me.
Anyway I was wondering how I switch back on the FF own version?? Do I simply remove Sxipper? As I followed the instructions on the Mozilla site and it told me to go to the Edit menu and look for a tab which quite simply does not exist?? (To re-install FF's own password manager) I am not looking for a recommend you understand as I don't believe that is in the scheme of things (BUT if you have a 100% cast iron rock solid suggestion :) please feel free.....)
So how to get rid of Sxipper and revert to FF's own password manager is it in a nutshell (I am also prone to burbling as well! And I haven't opened a bottle yet.)
Thanks
Chris

plentyoffish.com created by Markus Frind; email address PR@pof.com is using mozilla firefox to fraudulently display, advertise, and solicit false and slanderous information about myself and possibly others. I sent an email and demanded the slanderous information associated with my name and picture be removed and it was for 1 day. Then it was added again. I need to ask for help in how to stop this and to possibly file harrassment or criminal charges, or whichever may apply in English

Windows Outlook Express in the default email program on the computer. When looking to send an email from a link within Firefox, it looks to send it using my GMail account, not the default program. Outlook Express is is the default in Firefox. All other options have been deleted from the selection, yet it still goes to GMail. Any ideas?
