Raspberry Pi 4B Raspberry Pi OS -- Fully updated OS. Firefox 78.9.0esr (32-bit) -- Latest and greatest for Raspberry Pi OS.

Some videos I am getting no sound. I try the effected videos in Chromium for Raspberry Pi OS and it works fine. I read about a possible fix and tried disabling hardware acceleration with no effect. I also blew out all the cookies,. history and stored site data. Each attempt closing and reopening Firefox. Same thing on the same videos, no sound in Firefox but fine in Chromium.

Any tips or pointers?

Hi All,

I am using a Desktop Windows computer and I am having trouble with 64 bit Firefox Version 87.0. For some reason I cannot play the sound in Instagram videos. All instagram videos will play but wil show the sound icon as muted and there is no way to click the sound icon which is shown in the lower right corner of the video to unmute it.

I disabled all the add-ons in firefox and I still am getting this problem. Chrome on the other hand seems to work just fine in playing Instagram videos with audio.

So what's up with Firefox?

Might I make a suggestion as to Allow a control to enable you to chose what Device is active for Voice input and other input options? My computer has more than one attached, and it keeps defaulting to another microphone. So I'd hope that eventually firefox will allow manual control switching for such device inputs.

I use Simplify.com to track some financial data but I cannot log in from the Firefox browser. I can get to the login screen but when I click login there is a spinning circle which never stops. I think I have found ways to put this in the exceptions but nothing works. I have a similar issue with Zinio.com. I can get to the website but cannot login. For both of these sites I have to use Google Chrome to get in.

Mozilla Firefox 78.8.0esr, Debian 10.9 (x86-64), no add-ons, and none of the pages are loading.

Hi everyone, just wanted to check if someone had this issue before or knows a solution please. Since yesterday, non of the pages in Firefox are loading. On the same computer, using other browsers there are no issues at all.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox. Purged it as well. Tested with a new profile, (firefox -P...) , same results, nothing loads. No error messages or anything. I will just have the small loading dash on the firefox tab and that's it.

I can't even access localhost, or the troubleshooting settings or the web developer tools. Nothing will open at all.

I found this thread mentioning that it might be related to libnss3. But I have the most recent and stable version available already installed: 2:3.42.1-1+deb10u3

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=981184

I uninstalled firefox, removed the folder .mozilla and just tried to make sure no trace of Firefox is left. Reinstalled it again, same thing...

I have a VPN, and the same results also with or without the VPN connected.

Any ideas please?

Thanks! Have a good day!

I downloaded and installed the firefox app and nothing happens. No menu. No tabs. The word "firefox" appears in the upper left corner of my screen and a "." appears under the app, indicating that it is open. The screen "blinked" momentarily when I opened the app. I am a longtime user of Firefox and this same thing happened this morning when I opened the app, which I uninstalled, and then downloaded and installed this new app. Same problem.

I had a different issue I came here for, but I discovered a very serious bug while I was writing my question, so I want to make sure this gets addressed first.

After writing my question, I clicked the "share data" button below. I got a message "We can't automatically get your browser's troubleshooting data, please try these manual steps. " Without thinking, I clicked the link to the "manual steps." Unfortunately, instead of opening a new tab, which would be the expected behavior, clicking the link took me off the get help form page (the page I'm on as I write this). What's worse, when I used the back button to return to the previous page, everything I'd written was gone. Obviously, the expected behavior would be to not take the user off the page in the first place, but if for some reason it did, to autosave the writing so it can be restored when the user returns.

This kind of bug used to be a lot more common in the early days, when I first started using the web, 25 years ago. I used to have a boilerplate describing the problem because I was sending reports of the bug so frequently. I've only encountered it twice, to my recollection, in the last 5 years. Firefox's website would have been one of the last places I'd ever expect to find a bug this glaring and elementary.

Thanks!
