In the plugin "facebook Container" I have made a new "tab category" called "social media" with a blue sign. The problem is that firefox continues to open FB in the old category even if I delete it, which is also very hard to do as I have to close all my FB-tabs to be able to delete it in the options tab. Next time I use firefox or a few days later firefox has again undeleted the old FB category and again opens my FB tabs in black tabs instead of my new blue tabs. I can´t use my own new tab category as long as the old one is there and it keeps comming back after I delete it. Very annoying to say the least! Please fix this error as soon as posible, thank you.

I'm trying to use a custom start page on new tabs opening (not happy that I have to use an extension for such basic functionality btw) but my service worker does not seem to activate or used when opening. Opening a new tab takes multiple seconds.

Navigating to the site (I have my start page hosted on AWS) on an existing tab is instantaneous, as is refreshing this page once the tab is loaded. So what gives? As far as I can tell Firefox doesn't install service workers on a per-tab basis, so there should be no issue here.

Firefox unexpectedly quit, open tabs lost when MacBook Pro's charge died. After charging, did restart since Menu button to access History was missing (only menu bar visible). It returned, but unable to restore closed tabs (as I've done in the past) - History shows it to be "empty." I've spent hours searching Mozilla Support...can anyone please help? These 8-10 tabs must be somewhere!

I'm not sure how, but sometimes when closing firefox with or without a restart of the pc, the second tab of my last session dissapeared. The first tab is my mail and stays, but the second tab is sometimes missing. If I close now the browser and start the browser again, the second tab is still there, but today I didn't restart the pc but firefox was closed for a while, I am missing the second tab. The second tab I have now, was the third tab before.

I'm running Windows 10 (Version 2004) and firefox 83.0 (64-bit) and have 157tabs open at the moment.

Hi dear Community Members, formerly when I opened a link in an email from my Outlook account, it opened in a Tab exactly next to it. But now it goes beyond several tabs which were already there. How can I get these links again opened in a Tab right next to it. That makes it easier to go from my email to that tab and back, I find.

These scrolling browser tabs are driving me nuts.

Is there way to stop the scrolling? Is there a way to have more than one row.

I found an addin but I really don't know how to use it.

Four times now I lost all the tabs I had been saving in Firefox. No explanation, and no apparent way to recover them. Why does this happen? Is there a way to recover them? I don't have this problem with other browsers. Very frustrating, because some are regularly used references. Some are hard to recall from scratch once they are suddenly gone.

tabs keep scrolling to the left. actual one i want to see stays on the right but view keeps going back to the left. Same with option scrolling thing when i press ^ instead of showing options it just flicks and doesnt let me choose anything. help! its quite frustraiting

I think it was update, my pc restarted. But it usually asks weird. I lost all windows and all tabs. Yet in library/history under restore windows, there is nothing! There was some json file, from which you could get tabs. I tried it last time and it didn't work. Also firefox wasn't even running at that time and previously i had all windows and tabs... Are you kidding me???

I often experience situations on Firefox where I lose all of my important tabs which I never end up getting back, despite having 'restore previous session' turned on. For instance, it happens when a software forcefully opens a "Thank you for installing" site while Firefox wasn't running, or when I accidentally open a link in a new window while being on private mode, when I meant to open it in a new private window instead..

On a different browser I used before switching to Firefox, I used to resolve this by going to it's profile location and looking at two files named "Current Session" and "Last Session". I could just rename the "Last Session" file to "Current Session", and all of my tabs would return. I was hoping Firefox would have something similar, but it seems either impossible or maybe just a bit more complicated, since I cannot find anything regarding this on the web.

Each time this happens to me, I go to my Firefox profile folder but cannot really find anything regarding sessions I could replace and restore. Only thing I managed to back up from the various important tabs I lost were six files in a fashion like this:

recovery.jsonlz4, upgrade.jsonlz4-[a lot of numbers]

Can I use these files to recover my lost tabs somehow, similar to how I used to do it in the different browser? Hopefully I'm understandable, it's a bit complicated to explain for me.

Hi. I would like to restore my previous session when I open Firefox (last version of the browser installed). The option is turned on, but nothing happens when I close the browser and I open it again. The support says I should see "Restore previous session" after "New Private Window", but this option is not there. In the history, the list of recently closed tabs is always empty, there are juste one or two links in the recently closed windows (it seems to be a random list). Can someone help me ? I don't understand why it doesn't work. Thank you :)

Writing in some distress here. Had Firefox open with a lot of tabs, most relevantly hundreds of pages relevant for my PhD research, when my computer decided to re-start on its own. When I opened Firefox afterward I was greeted by the "What's new with Firefox" page, all my tabs gone. Both "Recently Closed Tabs" and "Recently Closed Windows" were completely empty. "Restore Previous Session" is greyed out and unclickable. After looking up solutions to this problem online I went to my profile at C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles, and discovered there was no sessionstore-backups folder there. There is a file called sessionstore.js, but it has last been modified May 2017. I checked and my history is still all there. Is there anything I can do, or do I need to go over the thousands upon thousands of entries there in search of the ones relevant for my research?

Hi. I have a problem with the volume in my firefox. It seems the tabs all are set on a different volume. One tab is really loud, one is barely audible. I notice it when i open youtube on multiple tabs, and set the volume of the players to full, the tabs won´t play the same volume. I don't know why that is, or how to change it. Please help.

After upgrade to Firefox 16 this morning. Any time I close multiple tabs I get a Confirm Close dialog box. Checked or unchecked the "Warn me when closing multiple tabs" under General in the Options has no effect. It always prompts me to confirm close.

I have just updated to Firefox 17; I have used it back from version 3, and I feel it's time to say goodbye to Mozilla Firefox!

I have used a lot of other programs, and I don't think there is any other program that updates as frequently as Firefox - every couple of months there is a new version!

It's not bad thing itself, but very, very bad thing is that, each time I update Firefox, one third of my plugins and addons are not compatible with new version! That completely ruins my joy of surfing the internet; since updating from Firefox 14 to current Firefox 17, I have lost at least five addons that were very important for me; the last one, now, is Tab Mix Plus, it's not compatible with Firefox 17, and my Firefox now looks completely different from what I'm used to, I cannot use it!

This has become unbearable any longer: I cannot cope with constant updates of program and addons, and finding replacements for addons that became incompatible! I want to browse internet, and not always to maintain something within Firefox!

You offered me some half of dozen years of excellent experience of browsing the web, but you've become too user enemy for my liking; , so bye, bye, Firefox!

Since updating to Firefox v.17, my tabs have returned to the default grey color (I assume it's the default color). I can't remember how I customized the colors before. Can someone help?

Whenever I click through open tabs, the page refreshes. This is a problem because 1. It prevents me from viewing pages offline, and 2. when i am quickly scrolling through open tabs, it takes a long time for each page to load.
