The address wasn’t understood

Firefox doesn’t know how to open this address, because one of the following protocols (fb) isn’t associated with any program or is not allowed in this context.

You might need to install other software to open this address.

How can i fix this?

Is it possible to save anything Firefox already downloaded? Currently all the “save” buttons seem to mean “download”; even the “view source” button makes additional request which may fail or even redirect (so e.g. clicking that on http://a.b/c may led one to view-source:http://d.e/f if the former page became a redirect in the meantime)

I have set the Downloads preference to "Always ask you where to save files".

When I download a file (I usually download PDF files), Firefox presents the file picker dialog with some directory pre-selected.

I would expect Firefox to pre-select the directory where I saved my most recent file.

However, Firefox often switches between several of my recent directory, seemingly absolutely arbitrarily. It would present the most recent directory e.g. 5 times in a row then suddenly switch to some other directory on its own.

This is EXTREMELY annoying and bad, as it is easy to overlook the changed directory and save the file in an unintended directory. It happened several times to me.

This behavior so destructive and annoying that I would consider it a bug that should get fixed (other browsers do not do this!). However if it is for some strange reason considered to be a feature, how can it turned off and how can Firefox be made to ALWAYS present the most recent download directory?

We want to customize the look & feel from firefox. We are using the userChrome.css file.

In the past we used the following entry to hide the menu bar in Firefox:

  1. toolbar-menubar

{display: none !important;}

Now on Firefox 78.6 (ESR Release) this works different. The menu bar is hidden but the close Icon (and the minimize/fullscreen Icons) are hidden too.

Is there a way to hide/disable the menu bar but keep these icons/buttons?

Hallo, since I've switched from InternetExplorer to FireFox as the standard browser, I cannot open MHT-files which I downloaded from the web. Firefox starts to open new tabs, by the second, endlessly. The process can be stopped only by killing Firefox with the TaskManager, several times. Is this a bug or a feature? Many thanks Ante

I want to import my mobile Safari bookmarks into Firefox on my desktop. I have read many articles on here but none of them have helped. I had hopes for this one(https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1285031) but it was unclear whether the user was on a Mac or PC.

I have already installed iCloud for Windows and the iCloud Bookmarks add-on in Firefox. I have supposedly performed the sync operation already, but nothing seems to have transferred. I have neither the Safari bookmarks in Firefox, nor the Firefox bookmarks in Safari(which I do not want or care about as Safari will be deleted when I am done with all this) I don't see any options to adjust any kind of settings in either program.

I very much would like to get this iCloud thing to work. If that continues to be unsuccessful, is it possible to create an HTML file from the mobile Safari bookmarks and import THAT into Firefox?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Addon windows in the Overflow menu are limited or fixed in size and therefore some addon functions are inaccessible or hard to use. Usually I would just middle-click to scroll sideways but with some addons this is not possible (eg. LastPass only shows the "Upgrade to Premium" part and nothing else if it is in the Overflow menu). I love the minimalist black&white look of my current Firefox setup so having the red LastPass icon outside of the Overflow menu would ruin that. Other addons just look bad with all that extra white space, like Windscribe (which should have a very small Addon window).

Is there some way to change the size of the addon window or report this as a bug to have it behave like addons should?
