When firefox is in full screen mode, as soon as I take my mouse cursor to switch tabs the Mac Os action bar (bar with close and minimize icons on it ) covers the tabs and make it hard to switch tabs, same happens while reaching for address bar which extremely annoying and frustrating.

I see other applications handles it really well for this situation so its not the macos issue. I reported this on twitter too but no satisfying response. I like firefox and don't want to switch back to other browser so please fix this. This issue is extremely frustrating and impacts the core functionality of the firefox or browser in general.

I have attached images from Chrome and source tree, both are third party application. Best handling of this action is done by safari, which smoothly animate and make the space for close and minimize buttons along with the tabs but that's a first party app and not sure if the same can be achieved by third party apps.

I am running Big Sur but this was happening even in Catalina.

Thank you!

Hello There is this glitch with YouTube where whenever I click on a YouTube video, it redirects to to a Post instead of the video

I have fixed the problem by right-clicking the video title and opening a new tab for each video, but I was wondering if there is a more convienient solution

Experiencing lots of stuttering while playing video with Firefox 83.0 on Windows 10. Happens with Disney+, Netflix and YouTube. Microsoft Edge (Chromium) on the same system works without any issues with all of these.

Tried to enable / disable hardware acceleration, webGL and some other settings people are commenting on forums, to no avail. Tried updating video drivers, using different settings including frequency / resolution, none of these had any effect on the issue.

Windows 10 version used was 1909. Will try again after upgrading to 20H2 and post back if anything changes.

Trivia: also tested Opera, which suffers from the same problems. Common video codec with Firefox, maybe?

Hi Firefox Team

I am very happy to use this browser as it serves all my needs perfectly! So thanks you for that.

The issue I have is about the updates. Whenever Firefox updates, I lose the sites saved on it. I have no issues with that.

However, can you give me the option to select a time and date for it?

That way I can, 1) Select a time when I am not working on Firefox. 2) Coordinate with other updates like Windows and McAfee.

This will ensure that I am prepared for the sites to disappear just once, instead of every time there's an update.

Thanks, Kajal

I use Win 10 and FF 83 (German so I did not know the exact english messages)

If I want to open a file-link like ZIP or PDF directly to show in FF or the fitting software (7zip, Acrobat) ("open with...") the file will be downloaded and then it is away. In the downloads history is written "the file is moved, renamed or deletet". I can download the file ("file save as") to the disk and open it after it manually. There are no problems in Chrome or Edge. I try out some settings in the Windows Defender but it did not help. Any idea?

Hello!

I've change the size of the icons in the bookmark bar by using the userChrome.css which now has

  1. personal-bookmarks .bookmark-item > .toolbarbutton-icon { height:25px !important; width:25px !important; }

I've increased the height and the width for larger size of the icons since my bookmarks don't have text. The problem is that some of the become blurry after the enlargement. I've tried to force refresh the favicons by Ctrl+F5 and also deleting the cache, but it still does not work.

I know that favicons are usually provided in 16x16 px and 32x32, but I don't see how could I make firefox use the 32x32 version since it's using the 16x16 and enlarging it.

Thanks in advance!

Within the last 2 weeks or so I get this error repeatedly when accessing secure sites that i used to be able to access with no issues. I use a private VPN and 2 factor authentication. Sometimes stopping the VPN momentarily fixes this, but for other sites, it's no go. This isn't an SSL or SEC error and a search on help forum didn't provide an answer.

I connected to the web interface of my printer and got a warning that it could be an unsafe site. I clicked where it said I accept the risk. Then I found out that I could install a certificate on the printer. To do that I have to click "Download." But I don't see that. First I have to remove the security exception I created. How do I do that in Firefox 83.0?
