I just added a new Firefox installation to my Firefox account. I did so by clicking on sync settings, in order to have a chance to modify the settings before sync started. As expected, I was first prompted to sign in to my Firefox account. I was then invited to install Firefox on my smartphone, which doesn't interest me. Since I found no option to dismiss this completely, I clicked on "remind me later". Then, instead of opening Sync settings as I expected, Firefox began to sync immediately. In fact the activity blocked Firefox for a while, preventing me from accessing sync settings at all. After getting into the settings, I disabled some things in sync settings, but don't know what undesired "cross-fertilization" may have already occurred between my Firefox installations. How can I find out? How can I get control of Firefox's syncing behaviour? There is a prominent "Sync now" button in the sync settings, but this only makes sense to me if there is some way to stop automatic syncing and make Firefox wait for me to click the button. How can I suspend automatic sync and make Firefox wait for a manual sync command?

I am just not able to access sites related to CFA Institute, rest I am able to do. If I try to browse any of the site related to that, I am getting: 'Server Not Found", as window heading and below the description looks like this:

Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.

We can’t connect to the server at cfasocietyindia.org.

If that address is correct, here are three other things you can try:

   Try again later.
   Check your network connection.
If you are connected but behind a firewall, check that Firefox has permission to access the Web.

I have tried every possible outcome, but not able to solve this. Hence if anyone can help on this, that would be great. Attaching a screenshot for a better refrence

Hello,

I'm in a bit of a trouble here, as I got recently and quite suddenly put aside from my job, and with that, lost access to my professional e-mail adress and to my professional computer. Problem is I had a Firefox account linked to my professional e-mail adress, and with this "work from home" situation I made the mistake to mix things up a little and store some personal passwords, on my pro computer. I changed most of my passwords since then, but still, I'd prefer if even the old ones weren't in the nature... As I can't log into my pro inbox anymore to validate the 2 steps connexion to firefox sync, I can't access my Firefox account from any other computer to remotely delete all these sensitive informations.

As this account mainly stores work related bookmarks and passwords, I don't particularly plan on claiming it back, as it would be of no use to me now. Instead, I'd prefer to see this account purely deleted, and to be able to move on with a clean slate.

I would like to know if there is a way, some procedure or anything, for the Mozilla teams to manualy delete an account and all it contains ?

Thank you in advance.

Has anyone had a problem with an automatic upgrade disabling Firefox in Win 8.1? I used system restore to resolve this problem but, you know that it will automatically download and reinstall the same upgrade. When it does the same thing will happen. Any ideas?
