I use Firefox & Chrome. The same videos skip with Firefox, but not Chrome. I'd prefer not to use Chrome, but updates to Firefox are causing problems! Doesn't matter whether they're on YouTube, FB, or wherever. I've tried dealing with the buffering solutions, but that doesn't work. I don't have time to troubleshoot Firefox all day.

Also, on various sites, my PayPal won't pop up during purchases. I have to use Chrome with the exact same website link. Really, what's going on with all these updates? I also use some add-ons and block cookies, etc. Not as many add-ons with Chrome, though.

Trying to get myself more secure in a world that is breaking down everybody's browser walls. Chrome hasn't made changes in a long time, but with the constant updating of Firefox, 3rd-party software just can't keep up!

Hi, when at certain websites and I click on their print option Mozilla automatically prints to pdf and saves the file to the designated folder without asking me what printer to choose and options. How can I change it so it prints to a specific printer?

Is there a way to stop Firefox from assuming that anything with a "." in it, without spaces, is a website? If I search for "string.replace" in the search bar, it attempts to take me to http://www.string.replace/ - instead of searching for "string.replace" on my default search engine.

I've previously had problems with one-word searches taking me to http://www.{one-word}.com

in other words, thinking that by "one-word" I meant "one-word.com", instead of a search for "one-word". I've just instinctively started adding spaces after those; but I actually can't seem to replicate this behaviour anymore. Either it's already been fixed, or I'm not entirely sure under what conditions it happens. Is there a setting to more aggressively go for searches? And ideally only assume something that's an actual toplevel domain, should count as a URL indicator?

This has been happening for ages. If you hold the backarrow down when trying to exit one of theguardian.com articles, many copies of the same page appear. It is possible to choose the correct one, but I would prefer to only have to click once, or better yet to just press the backsapce button on the keyboard. I'm wedded to the browser because of it's ethos, but ti can be trying at times. THis is being raised just in the hope things will improve for others.

I still prefer Chrome partly for speed, but I still use Firefox for certain things, and it's still slow and under-responsive, as shown by it's sub-par frame rate (seems to be about 15 frames per second, whereas other apps are full 60).

I keep hearing from random people in real life and on the internet how fast it is now... but on a modern Windows or Mac, it still suffers from a sub-par frame rate and under-responsiviness.

The Brave browser runs as fast as Chrome, but is based on the same Chromium browser... I don't what they're doing different, or if Firefox needs video card acceleration or something like that (I'm not seeing how to determine this), but in this day and age it's really disconcerting that Firefox is still slow, and in fact runs slower than my Internet Explorer 11.

Firefox used to facilitate an excellent addin called Password Exporter. It has since been deemed Legacy and is no longer supported... While Firefox's embedded password manager has the capability to import passwords from other browser platforms, there is no provision to import my 270 passwords kept in an xml file created by Password Exporter. After a fresh install of Windows 10, I now have to open the password xml file with "notebook" and search for the required password...

One would think such an advanced program as Firefox there would be provisions afforded users to import and export passwords from and to a data file, preferably an xml file. No one saves 270 passwords on stickup notes. Everyone removes and reinstall Firefox...

Mozilla.... Please address this problem... The multitudes will be grateful.... How long could it take your code writers to install this feature in your next upgrade???

For security and an uncluttered display, I use the LastPass extension to generate and store my unique passwords and log me in to those websites, and I use Ublock Origin as my ad blocker.

After booting up my Windows 7 PC for the day, when I launch Firefox for the first time and wait for the home page to finish loading (the "X" becomes "refresh"), both icons still show in a grey color, ads show up on the page, and if I click on the LastPass icon, it thinks I've intentionally logged off and asks for ID and password; I do not re-login (I use LastPass's option to stay logged in for 2 weeks).

All I need to do it close the Firefox window and launch Firefox again. By the time the home page finishes loading, both icons display in their respective colors, ads are gone, and a click on LastPass shows it recognizes me and it presents its first dropdown menu.

I have my Firefox set to update automatically, so I'm currently at version 64.0. The problem, however has been going on for at least the better part of a year (several FF versions).

It's just a pain in the @$$ to have to start FF and wait for it to finish loading, then shut it down and do that again.

Does anyone have any ideas, suggestions, or fixes?

I'd sure like to hear something!

Thanks - and Happy New Year, Larry R
