Whenever i create an account anywhere, i use an email address with a tag unique to the service appended to the end. For instance, the email address I used here is firstname.lastname@example.org. I do this to be able to automatically put incoming emails in various buckets, and also to be able to mute emails from specific senders or see which services sell my address on to spam spewers.
In firefox monitor, this creates a problem, because as far as Firefox is concerned I use hundreds of different email addresses, whereas in reality they are all the same address just with different tags.

When you add an email address to Firefox Monitor, there is a checkbox that says "Include address variations".
When adding the address email@example.com with the checkbox checked, any variation of that email address should also be considered added, e.g.
Bonus feature: Support for service specific quirks - the checkbox would also be aware of quirks various email providers have. E.g. for gmail addresses the dots are optional. So when adding the address firstname.lastname@example.org with the aforementioned checkbox checked, the address would also match email@example.com.
