A maximum number of times when I full screen Firefox some of its border also displays on the second screen I use which is rather annoying.

Is there a way to fix the problem? I've also uploaded an Image showing the same, I know the background and the borders look kind of the same but that is the Firefox border above the Sony logo.

I have gone into my Add-Ons and enabled the "Show lower RoboForm toolbar" option. But every day when I open Firefox on my Windows 10 computer (fully updated), the Roboform Add-on lower toolbar has been unselected. I have to go back into Add-Ons and re-select it every day. How do I make this stop? It used to happen once in awhile, but now it's every day. I use RoboForm many times a day, and this is really annoying.

Using F3 & F4 for something other than copy/paste is like reassigning the return key to act like the delete key.

This is the one feature of Firefox that prevents me from making it my default browser. I can't even override it using the Mac OS shortcut overrides.

Any way to do this in Firefox?

In Settings > Search > Search Shortcuts, the help text currently reads "Choose the alternative search engines that appear below the address bar and search bar when you start to enter a keyword."

This seems to imply that entering keywords into the search bar will bring up alternative search engines. However, this is not the case; only the address bar responds to Search Shortcut keywords, while entering keywords into the search bar will pass the entire string (including keyword) to whichever your default search engine was.

Either the wording has to be modified to clarify that search engine keywords only work when typed into the address bar, or search keyword functionality has to be enabled on the search bar.

I'm a recent convert from Chrome after decades (used to use Firefox waaaaaay back in the day) so I've become quite accustomed to how things worked in Chrome. I've found most of the workarounds to get it back to what I'm used to but one has stumped me and I've spent too many hours searching and reading so I'm hoping someone here can help... (I just discovered part of the problem while taking screenshots, I think it's the extension)

In Chrome, when in Gmail and clicking the download button to download an attachment, it would bring up the "save as" but in Firefox, while it will do that now for common things like jpg etc, I can't get it to do it for a .ds2 or .dss extension which are my most common downloads.

I see the Applications box in Settings/General but it doesn't show .ds2 or .dss and when I search, nothing. How do I add these two extensions so that when I try to download, it gives me the option to "Do this automatically for files like this from now on" option? Thank you!!

hello. currently, i click and hold the mouse wheel (aka middle button) and move the mouse towards me and the page moves downward. likewise, moving the mouse to my right moves the page right.

also this happens when using firefox's built in pdf viewer.

is there a way to reverse these directions?

my goal would be to have similar action/movement when using the hand tool in acrobat or photoshop.

thanks

Hi Guy's, loving Firefox. Is it possible to get cross hairs? It will be of great benefit to me as I carry nautical charts in the computer. Cross hairs will simplify noting lat and long for installation of waypoints on my chart plotter as I sail the Western Australian coast. I have distrust of recreational charting cards as they are inaccurate, trying to remedy the annomolies is just too hard. Cheers Cliff ordandcher@outlook.com

Hello,

in previous versions of firefox I could see the filename and the average download speed, but also the name of the download-websites in the download window.

Now I can see this names only after downloads have finished.

Is this my mistake in Firefox-preferences or do I need an add-on for firefox?

Or is this not longer possible? Yes, this will be pure luxury, but very helpful.

Now I use 69.0.3 with macOS 10.14.6

Greetings from Germany and thanks in advandce

Media keys are not working on Firefox though they're working just fine on Chrome. I can pause playing media in an active tab only with space. I'm unable to use the seek back, forward and pause buttons. It's kind of annoying that I have to open the background tab where the media is playing and pause it with space or my mouse when I could simply hit the pause button while working. I've tried disabling and re-enabling media.hardwaremediakeys.enabled in about:config but nothing happened :( Thanks.

I had Fast Close Tabs addon for Firefox 56 but it does not work in newer FF versions. The addon changed FF's window close button behaviour so that when pressing the window close button only the current tab was closed. This was very convenient and fast way to close a tab because it did not require careful mouse aiming (when window is maximized) or keyboard shortcut. Just move mouse pointer to top right corner of the screen and click.

My understanding is that it is not possible to do similar addons anymore. But I was wondering is it possible to get similar behaviour by using firefox autoconfig file?

There are two events that I have found: - quit-application-requested - browser-lastwindow-close-requested

I don't know which one is the correct one and how to change it's behaviour.

I guess I must use Services.obs.removeObserver method but no idea how.

Hi, I just would like that whenever I open the browser, it would open my saved homepages. If I turn off the computer without closing firefox then the next time I open the browser it will load my previous session. I dont want to load my previous session, I want it to open my homepages every time. I have already unchecked "restore previous session" in the options. It only works if I close the firefox before turning off the computer. Just, please, tell me which option I should uncheck in about:config.

Hi all,

I am a Linux user (Manjaro) and I've been using Firefox for ages now. I got hold of another computer recently, and I just installed Manjaro Gnome on it as well. I started Firefox, and suddenly I see a UI change, which I don't think is an update, but who knows. In this version of firefox the search bar (along with the new tab, refresh, pocket, etc buttons) are abobe the tab list (which spans the full width). You can see it here https://imgur.com/a/idqp5jb

Moreover, i tried changing themes via the Add-ons Manager and they can't be applied.

When using the Troubleshooting mode, Firefox is back to normal! But in normal mode it is not, so I am not really sure what the problem is. I would be thankful if you could tell me how to fix this.
