As per everytime I update Firefox I end up spending hours trying to sort issues out and ending up in a foul mood. Everything was fine in 65, I update to 67 and I'm not sure whether I want to scream or cry more.
Issue 1. I lost Adblock plus, I managed to reinstall and lost all my settings that I can't recover. Years of settings gone. All other apps as far as I can tell are still installed so why did adblock get deleted with all the settings?
Issue 2 I can't see addons on the addons page. Same goes for themes and plugins. I've done safe mode where I can see them. I updated them in safe mode. But still can't see them. They were fine in ver 65.
Any ideas? Thanks

Firefox update to 67.0 has removed all my bookmarks and passwords
since this update installed i cannot get to my bookmarks or saved passwords. cannot even down grade to previous ver.
I did not even enable this update !

Firefox has deleted all my extension data/settings after update

I just installed the latest Firefox update (67) and when the browser restarted I noticed no web pages were loading. It turned out this was because my uBlock Origin and uMatrix extensions had been completely cleared of ALL data, including their default/pre-defined rules.
All of my extensions data seems to have been cleared. The extensions are still installed, but their settings/data are completely gone.
This is EXTREMELY frustrating.
Does Firefox make backups or anything before it attempts an update? Is my extension data/settings recoverable somehow?
Come on, Mozilla, what are you doing to Firefox recently?!
This morning my Firefox prompted for an update and adding a mobile phone sync... in the process ALL bookmarks were lost. HELP.
I tried fixes per suggestions, but there is no back-up to back up. All bookmarks are just plain gone. Can anyone help

I restarted my computer and had previously set up firefox to save all tabs, I had a month of work saved here and it was to always open the tabs after closing the program. I also have about 50 sites book marked for my work and everything disappeared with a new version of firefox of course it said on the new landing page that I didnt lose my work or bookmarks everything is gone and I cant find them anywhere nor is there any instructions as to how I can restore it. I rolled back the computer to an earlier date and the system restore point didnt bring back the information either.--HELP
