I could not login via google, facebook or similar accounts on websites that support it. So I tried disabling all extensions and restarted FF without any luck. I then tried Safe Mode and it gets the job done but when I reset/refresh FF and get the extensions I wanted back it does not work again even if they are all disabled!
any insight on that? is there like a hidden extension that blocks it? I'm on the latest FF for Mac (el cap)! thanks, your input would be highly appreciated!

Quite often, maybe every other day or so, while navigating to my regularly visited sites on Firefox a page will automatically redirect to https://eecohweb1.com/5171142995655/e168b96dcf8e600121a9d71679334641.html It appears to be a legitimate Flash page where they say your Flash may be out of date. I think over a year ago I may have accidentally downloaded it, but haven't since and have ran all kinds of anti-virus and malware removal programs. I suspect this is the result of malware because Microsoft Security Essentials automatically pops up and says I was protected from something.
Anyone else have this problem? I've ran Microsofct Security Essentials, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, AdwCleaner, and Stinger. They don't seem to find anything.

But this will solve the problem only in that particular system. I have many users accessing my site from many systems. I want the screen size to be set as 90% ONLY i have tired using the option of "layout.css.devPixelsPerPx" but did not work well.
The menu tab should look the same but then only the content to be seen at 90% please I do not want to use an ADD ONS, kindly let me know with about:config option only.

I've created a website in php5. During development I used Firefox 46.0.1 on Ubuntu 14.04LTS. The session variables are nicely stored en can be read.
Now I'm starting to test on different browsers, my Windows 10 pc with Firefox 46.0.1 doesn't store the session variables. Chrome and Edge do store the session variables on my Windows 10 pc. Also on a win 8.1 pc with Firefox 46.0.1 the session variables are not stored.
Any idea what could be the cause?
What I typically do in a php script:

In order to reload the page, I use javascript. "location.reload();" When commenting that line out and refresh the page, the session variables are available.
Any idea on how to solve this issue?

Working on implementing/fixing the accessibility features of my client's website, we stumbled on the particular case that Firefox decides to set focus to an <iframe> when tabbing through a page, which no other browser does. The client then suggested that the <iframe> content be given a title attribute (in the <head> of the loaded HTML) so that the Voiceover feature (and its equivalents) reads the <iframe> title out loud.
This should work, however the browser keeps saying "Firefox busy" no matter what we tab onto.
What would cause this situation? We would appreciate some guidance, in order to see if we need to change something in our content, or if this is an issue with Firefox itself. Thanks in advance.

I'm stuck with Firefox version 36 with no options to change. I need to be able to send a config file or batch file to multiple users that will update the popups exceptions list with a specific site while leaving popup blocker enabled. I'm also running Windows XP (also stuck to this with no option of upgrade). I've tried using a hostperm.1 file with this line in it: "host popup 1 mysite.com" and this doesn't work. I've also tried adding it to the auto config file with this line: "pref("xpinstall.whitelist.add", "mysite.com");" but this doesn't work either. Is there a command line that will do this for me? Or another config file that will accomplish this?

These pages show a large amount of small images. The strange thing is that only the letter "g" crashes, and "g" is by far not the page with the largest amount of images (that would be "s").
Another strange thing is that Firefox crashes right away when I try to open the page, not after beginning to open the page, as usually happens when there are too many images on the page, that the crash occurs after Firefox already shows a few hundred images.
I have the latest Firefox version: 46.0.1. Windows 7 with more or less the latest updates. The problem also occurs in safe mode. The problem does not occur using Internet Explorer. I have a few add-ons, like dictionaries, but nothing special. Java is also updated. I also have the Adblock plus extension, but it is de-activated on my userpage.

I'm a developer and I'm trying to refresh and validate some changes I do on my sites, and I'm quite annoyed, since in Firefox embedded videos (with the <video> tag) and favicons are not refreshing at all. I need to switch and check the changes in Chrome.
I've tried everything I've found in the support site and from other help sites:
- Ctrl + F5 or Ctrl + Shift + R
- Shift + click on refresh button
- Developer Toolbox - options - advanced settings - Disable Cache (when toolbox is open)
- Modify about:config: browser.cache.memory.enable;false and browser.cache.disk.enable;false
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
- Web Developer Addon: Disable cache from several options.
All the other content (html, js css, etc) of the pages are getting refreshed with the above methods, but the videos and the favicons are not. I'm using latest version 46.0.1 Am I missing something? Thanks in advance

I restored via MozBackup to a version of a month prior, but no difference.
I tried starting Safe Mode. The first time, it opened. I then closed FF, and every next time, same old problem.

Since I don't run proxies or firewalls, this lands right square in you folks' lap. Recently (last 2 months or so) Firefox refuses to go to some sites, runs slowly on others, halfway loads others.
Aside from destroying the ability to use some very valid, very useful, very much used add-ons, the "new" Firefox (which is quickly working itself onto our "total garbage" list) trespasses on my right to free will. If I want to go to a site that has mis-configured credentials, a warning is good enough and I can proceed at my own risk. I do not recognize your authority to make that decision for me. Just becasue Internet Explorer is no longer in production, Netscape was buried long ago, Chrome is akin to spyware and Safari is for Apple freaks, doesn't mean you have free reign to fuck with us the way you are.

After some extremely bad customer service encounters with Tripadvisor yesterday (they gave me an unsolicited spam phone call, so I pulled up their site to complain and found that they have no customer service contact address), I discovered today that to add insult to injury, the *$%^-ing Tripadvisor pop-unders have caused Firefox to forget my saved session of 60+ tabs! I searched for how to block pop-unders, but all I found was how to block pop-ups, which I'm already doing according to Tools > Options. Can anyone here please tell me how I get rid of these wretched pop-unders and stop that ever happening again? Thanks.
