I DO NOT OWN A SMART PHONE.X IS ASKING ME TO PROVE I'm human by scanning a QR code with a smart phone in order to log in to my account. It was told to me that this will allow me to scan that code. I am leery about using it as Mozilla does not monitor it. It gets mostly good reviews but people complain about stability. I will just use it once to get into my account. I was going through my account settings today and noticed that two factor was disabled. I thought this odd as I usually set it up on any account I use, so I of course turned it on and went about linking my authenticator app and generating account recovery codes. Yet in my authenticator app there was already a Mozilla account with my email, but the codes it supplied did not work. I also found old account recovery codes I had written down which did not work either.

What could have happened to cause this? I must have had two factor on sometime in the past and added it to my app and generated recovery codes. How could it have been disabled, the old codes made invalid, and Microsoft authenticator unlinked? Am I looking at an account breach somehow? I have no unusual activity as far as I can tell and no recent data or password breaches. The only thing I can think of was I removed a number of old devices from my account and signed out of them, but I still own the old PC's so no one could be using them.

Hello, i installed windows again and now I wanted to get firefox again, I want to login and get that Code sended to my email, but after I click on the button where I have to write that code it saya unexpexted error

Hey, I have a new laptop and want to login to my account. My account is an hotmail.com one. After giving the password Mozilla is suppose to send me an email with an authentification number. The email is not coming. Not in the spam section, anywhere. Tried multiple times, same issue. Add Mozilla to my contact list, nothing changes. Tried to change my Mozilla account email address, not possible as I need to pass through this process again. Is my only option to delete my account and creat a new one with another email address?

i've been having an issue with back ups(not the problem here) but at one point, i changed a secondary account to the main one, and now when i try to log in, and it sends the verification email to my email account, i never get the emails, so i cant log back in, i dont recieve any of them, checked spam, and every folder i have, not only for that email account, but for all the ones i have connected to my mozilla account and i dont have any emails there, how can i fix this

Since yesterday I cannot log in to my hotmail accounts via Mozilla. It keeps coming up with the message "Please retry with a different device or other authentication method to sign in". I select sending a code to an email to try a different way but it doesn't even send the code either so I simply cannot log in

I can log in via Microoft Edge so the issue appears to be with Mozilla but I have no idea what has happened or how to fix it

I love Mozilla so do not want to be forced to use Microsoft Edge :-(

I have tried 4-5 times today unsuccessfully to setup my Firefox browser on my new Mac laptop. Cannot seem to actually receive any emails from Firefox with the verification codes. Have checked my spam filters, no emails sent there. Nothing sent to other email folders. Made sure accounts@firefox is in my address book. Not forwarded to another email address. And have sent test emails to my account associated with my Firefox account. They come thru successfully. But nothing at all from Firefox. Is there an email problem today from the Firefox servers?

Every time I change my password or I try to change my password I get notifications double notifications actually one with an eight digit number one with the six digit number it's going to the same account but it's also going to another account in another town how do I stop this

About two years ago, I created an account on Mozilla, and by then I'd already set up two-step authentication using the app's Authenticator. But then I had to reset Windows and lost my backup keys and other stuff. Soon after, I experimented with other browsers and forgot about Firefox (I also deleted the Firefox profile in the Authenticator app). Now I've decided to log into my account, but since I can't log in without the app, I figured there's an option to log in using the email linked to the account (I have access to it), but for some reason, they're asking me for an account recovery key. So, I know my email address and have the password for it, but I can't log into my account without the Authenticator app. To try this alternative, I need to know the account recovery key, but I've lost it too. So, I'd be very grateful if anyone knows a solution to this problem. For reference, I also logged out of my Mozilla account on other devices and I haven't received any emails related to this situation (like checking email, etc.).

Firefox Account verification emails never arrive. Password works. Sync works on existing devices. New device verification email is never delivered. Account appears stuck in verification state.

I'd like to import my bookmarks on a newly installed Firefox system. To do this, I need to log in and enter a verification code. This code arrives by email, but only after a few hours. So it's too late to enter it.

sync and account email i want to login - i know the password but i never get the code for verify to login on my mail.

its not in spam, unwanted or anything else. i tried it many times now but i never get any mail so i cant login anymore.

how should i ever get access to my account again? because there is no other way..

I recovered my account using a backup code and set a new password. Two-step authentication is enabled but I don’t have the linked TOTP app. The settings UI does not allow disabling 2FA and does not offer backup code input. I still have unused 10-character backup recovery codes. Please advise.

I’ve been hacked. They actually got into my email. I found emails in the trash from Mozilla with had codes on it to change my information I have since retrieve those and I have lockdown with the two authentication and changed my password. How else can I get support as far as this is not happening again.

Mozilla will not let me sign into my Amazon account without using a passkey. I have never established a passkey and I do not wish to use my phone to sign in and without using one of those two options, my computer is completely locked and I have to shut it down and reboot or sign out of Microsoft in order to regain service. I have deleted Firefox from my phone...I have deleted the Amazon app from my phone, and I unsynched everything before I did so. I have errased all of my cookies and cleared the cash. I use an Apple phone which is equipped with an excellent browser, and unless I can find some work around for this I am going to delete Firefox from my PC as well.
