Hello,I have Windows XP 32 bit with service pack 3 and Firefox 52.9.1 ESR browser. Now that adobe flash player is history I can't play videos online that are not on youtube. I can still watch youtube videos.

Is there a HTML5 video player or something else I can install on this old system that will work or is that not possible? I know it's an old system but it still does the job.

I am running an old computer using XP. All I want to do on this computer is view Virtual Railfan live streaming videos. When I try to view a video, it says that my browser doesn't recognize any of the video formats available. Then it points me to a html5 faq. When I click on that I go to Firefox home page and it wants me to download Firefox. I already have downloaded the latest Firefox. Is there a workaround for this?

when i start browser or open a new tab, the screen resolution is reset to 800x600, before that it was set at 1680x1050 and i need to change it back in pc settings i use Firefox ESR 52.9.0

Today I see that FB fails to load my profile photo album. I get a spinning circle, description and comments section to the right is blank (or photo loads but no description). I check my connection activity, it's basically at 10 kbps. I run some speed tests, no problem.

So I go to MS Edge, everything on FB loads in an instant.

So the problem is FF. And that's on top of the 50%-100% of CPU that every click on FB produces. I compared it with Edge, 5%-50% of CPU.

So before I give up on FF and switch to Edge, can someone recommend another version of FF that is relatively lightweight for a low spec laptop? The latest version is a no go, as I understand it needs at least 8-16 GB of memory (!).

Hi, I had Firefox on my Thinkpad T60 and it worked. I hadn't used the laptop for sometime but now Firefox didn't work, neither did iexplore or slimbrowser, they all produce the same error. I was able to find an earlier version of Forefox and it works fine but slow. Strangely when I go to goole or slimbrowser those site are found but will not find anything like amazon.com, the message from the File/properties: unknown protocal, size,connection not encrypted, address (URL): res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htm#http://www.amazon.com/?_encoding=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&linkCode=ur2&tag=flashpcom-20&sbSource=linksbar

The event viewer has this message: source cryp32: Failed extract of third-party root list from auto update cab at: <http://www.download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3/static/trustedr/en/authrootstl.cab> with error: Unknown cryptographic algorithm.

This laptop is 32 bit, Windows XP.

Hi, I am using Firefox 75.0 on Windows 10. I changed the order of my serach engines in the preferences. In earlier versions of Firefox the installed search engines were stored in search.json.mozlz4 and the order somewhere in search-metadata.json, search.sqlite and search.json. So to move the search engines from one profil to another, one could copy those files and everything was as before. Now I only find search.json.mozlz4 in my profil and none of the other files. But just copying search.json.mozlz4 to a new profile, will restore the search engines but not the order I arranged them in. Are those other files not part of the profie anymore?

I have about 90 custom search engines and would like to do the job just once and not 10 times or more for my different installations. So how can I move not only the engines themselve but also their order? Thank you!
