I am horrified at your abandonment of the master password. The political correctness is off the charts at Mozilla. You destroyed a great browser, and people are turning away from your leftist derangement syndrome. Here's what elimination of things with the word MASTER in them does:

A young boy can no longer be addressed by the title MASTER as in Master Lord Fauntleroy.

Well-known and brilliant pianists and other world-renown musicians can no longer give MASTER CLASSES to students.

The circuit breaker in your electric box that shuts off your home's power completely can no longer be called the MASTER BREAKER.

The company called MASTER LOCK must close its doors or declare bankruptcy.

Chess aficionados with the highest of world rankings can no longer be called grand MASTERS.

A criminal or civil court can no longer rely upon the expertise of Special MASTERS.

The MASTERS Golf Tournament needs to be terminated.

Masters University in Santa Clarita, CA must be closed forever.

Masters degrees in all disciplines must be eliminated. You go for the Ph.D., or you get nothing and like it.

If you want the very best bottle of wine for that special anniversary, forget getting advice from a MASTER sommelier.

Want a pair of the very best concert tickets....forget it, no Ticket MASTERS.

Garage door broken? No more Lift-MASTER!

Want a professional Barbecue grill...no more MASTER-built stainless grills.

Destroy your brand new Sony MASTER SERIES flat screen TV with a ball peen hammer. It's racist.

Better move your bed into the kid's bedroom; No more MASTER bedrooms.

Forget being able to stop your car; we need to get rid of the brake system's MASTER Cylinder.

No more Cooler-MASTER Intel I7 and I9 processor fans. Video game freaks, no more overclocking!

Only jacks-of-all-trades need apply, no MASTERS of ONE permitted!

Hello. I would like to block all media from autoplaying in firefox. In my web searches, I'm constanly finding things like " Up until version X.XX you could do this, but they changed it and it doesn't work anymore." My question is, Why can't you put a workin set of media blocking tools in, AND THEN LEAVE THEM ALONE ??????

Why doe it ALWAYS have to be "They CHANGED IT AND IT DOESN'T WORK ANYMORE ?????

I have more than 14000 files in the directory in ....\Firefox\cache2\entries and I would like to get rid of them. The large number of files in this directory impacts my disc performance, e.g. during backup or virus scanning. I have tried to clear cache and history in the options menu, but the files stay there. The files date from one week ago back to approximately one year ago. Can you give some advice, what these files are used for an how I can remove them ? Thanks

When I print the resulting web page in Chrome, it maintains the scroll position of the inner div. But when I do the same in Firefox, it always scrolls the inner div to the top.

Is this an issue with Firefox? Is there a way for me to maintain the scroll position?

It's impossible to edit a URL in the new and terrible address bar. This is a problem, and just one tiny example among many, when a website shows a non English page because I am in some other country. I used to be able to change .../de/etc. to /en-us/etc. and get the correct page. Now I have to click dots, select to copy, paste into notepad, make the change and paste-and-go.

Can this completely idiotic behavior be changed? Who is this aimed at, anyway? Address bars have worked the same for decades at this point - and whilest enhancing it is fine, disabling something as basic to ALL Windows or Mac as editing is insane.

I keep getting a Microsoft Edge download banner when I visit websites using Firefox as my browser. I have selected Firefox as my default browser in the Default Apps settings. I have installed an ad blocker, and turned off every notification switch I can find in Windows settings. I have taken ownership and changed permissions on every Microsoft Edge folder and file on my laptop. Then I deleted them all. I edited the registry to prevent Microsoft Edge from being downloaded or running at start up. I installed Winaero Tweaker and selected the "stop all ads in Windows 10." I still get the banner. Is there any way to turn this off?

I'm streaming video a lot in the PiP breakout window while reading other web pages. I think it's a great feature and I've seen some improvements in the UI over time. I was hoping this problem would have been fixed in the latest update or noticed by someone either in development or another user at some time, but I could find no reference to it when searching the help pages.

When the video is playing in the window, everything works fine. Except when I'm watching something like a live broadcast that has breaks in it for commercials. My practice is to keep an eye on the video playing when I've muted the tab, while I continue my reading in other tabs. When the program comes back on in the PiP, I unmute (demute??) the tab and usually return the picture to the host tab, then go full screen.

At least half the time I do that, the navigation bar - where you can stop/start the play, go forward/back 10 seconds, and where you see the red "LIVE" notification or how many minutes/seconds you are behind the LIVE stream - shows that my program is now minutes behind the LIVE point. The funny thing is, it doesn't do it consistently and I have tried several things to figure out if it's something I'm doing. But there is no rhyme or reason why it's happening. It did this when I had Windows 8, and continued after I installed Windows 10.

For a three or four minute break, I will lose perhaps two or three minutes. I suppose that if I left it in the PiP configuration and just let the program play for the two or three hours it would take for the duration, the time would slip maybe as much as forty five minutes to an hour. Typing this statement now is going to push me to try it next time for an observable result. Again, though, it doesn't happen every time.

My guess is that, for some reason, video frames are being dropped when it's in PiP mode and instead of 30 fps it's only delivering 15 fps. (If 30 fps is what's normal.) I do not have this slippage when I maintain the picture in the standard size video box or when it's full screen. So yeah, as I'm thinking more about it, a distinct possibility is that the frames per second is reduced for the PiP, because it is not able to keep up with the higher frame rate. But then the question is why doesn't it do it 100% of the time.

So thank you all for thinking about it, and multiple thanks to the ones who can help this one be marked "solved". Later -
