Hello! I want to work with burp suit application but for work with it the foxy proxy need. when I turned on the foxy proxy it always gives me different kind of error messages such ass "The proxy server is refusing connections". I tried everything I could but to no avail.
I am on Linux. I get no sound from any video.
Simply going to youtube and then playing a video produces no sound.

Sometimes, if the computer is offline and Firefox is open, when the computer goes back online Firefox can't connect to any website, with the page "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.". The only fix is to close Firefox and open it again. Going offline doesn't always do this, and while I'm not sure of what exactly causes this to happen, a way to easily reproduce it is:
After the computer is connected, refreshing the page sends you to "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.". You have to restart Firefox.
A way that doesn't 100% reproduce it, but works enough times, is to reboot the computer without turning off the Wi-Fi, and open Firefox as soon as possible (before the computer manages to connect to the router, which is the part that isn't always consistent). Rarely, it happens after suspending the computer, or after a disconnection due to an unstable connection. I can reproduce it in Firefox's safe mode. I have a hunch that maybe this is related to networking drivers.
I'm using a Lenovo IdeaPad 5 14ARE05 (Network controller: Intel Corporation Wi-Fi 6 AX200 (rev 1a)), Linux NixOS 22.11 (I don't know about Windows).
Ask me for any log you might need.
This is kinda a duplicate of https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1078253, except that their solution does nothing to me.

Hello good people, This is rather a request for advice than an issue report. I' ve learned about the facebook container add-on and wanted to know if there is a need for it if someone was making sure to exclusively open facebook.com in its own profile. Say you set up a profile(from about:profiles) namely "BIg Brothers" for notorious trackers like google, facebook , twitter etc so they can perpetually track each other with simple rules to observe like : - Never open an external(shared) link - Never access any other website through that profile.
Is there a particular feature the add-on is bringing up that the native interface is missing ? The other reason is add-ons are great but they tend to bloat the system impeding the browsing experience. I am the kind of guy who opens 7 concurrent tabs each running heavy js code so the lighter the better.
Thank you in advance,
Dom

I do not use the majority of keyboard controls in Firefox-- only Ctrl+F. Lately, I've noticed that using Ctrl+I in editor windows also pops up the Page Info window, which I have never used on purpose and am perfectly comfortable accessing via Firefox's menubar.
I have been searching for over an hour, and every Firefox add-on that I can find to fix this problem has been removed.
Ideally, I would like to be able to configure all of my keyboard shortcuts, but practically I will settle for being able to disable Ctrl-B, Ctrl-I, and Ctrl-U.

Hello, Firefox folks! I am running Firefox 78.0.1 on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. Recently, Firefox has stopped displaying text correctly. I have attached 2 images of examples of this occurring. I refreshed Firefox some time ago and the problem went away but has since returned.
I would appreciate any insights that you all can provide.
Thank you! -Mark

Colors are distorted in MP4 video as you can see in the attached screenshot. The distorted colors impact video on many sites including yourlearning.ibm.com, webex.com, twitter.com, mlb.com, etc. They do not impact youtube.com which displays video correctly. My Firefox version is 68.10.0esr (64-bit) and my OS is RHEL 7.8, kernel version 3.10.0-1127.13.1.el7.x86_64, Gnome Version 3.28.2
I have tried running in safe mode but the issue persists.
How do get Firefox to display MP4 video with correct colors?
This is clearly a repeat of your bizarre bug from 2019. When will you release a fix?

I'd like to help you all at Mozilla in the evenings. I have just one issue with that. I have installed Linux Mint Cinnamon and made my theme dark and downloaded the add-on "Dark Background and Light Text". It is almost 100% wonderful. Redshift is activated too, in order to avoid the blue light, so that I will keep the rhythm of my sleep. I love it.
However. Every time I start a new window in Firefox or click the "+" my whole screen turns WHITE!!! This is VERY annoying. I want it to be dark, of course. This is also an issue if I am going to help you out at Mozilla in the evenings. Dark Background and Light Text does not work in your own forum. Why not integrate this add-on into Firefox?
In my opinion this is a very high priority issue, not only for this reason, but considering that we will all would save energy, batteries and the environment when using AMOLED technology together with Firefox, especially if it is very easy for the users to discover and to activate.
Have Chrome password written down, needed for updates. It doesn't work.

I'm running the most recent Firefox in both the 18.04 and 20.04 releases of Ubuntu. I cannot log into either Gmail, or Slack. I believe this is a version problem because on an older, CentOS 7 operating system and Firefox, this is not a problem. I have tried removing history, to no avail.

I am trying to copy selected text from a web article. If I select the text from the screen and paste into a word processor the text is truncated. If I view in Print Friendly the text is rearranged to prevent this but I now cannot select the text I require because the cursor is replaced with a large Dustbin and only allows deletion of text. How do I get rid of this dustbin and resume normal editing?
Firefox 79.0 Incidentally, the usual Firefox tab to rearrange text for reading is not available for this particular article/website.

I am new to Firefox as well as Linux and my laptop is running two hard drives, each dedicated to its own operating system, Windows and Linux. I created a Firefox account in Windows and was able to export all bookmarks from Chrome to the new account. The Linux version I'm using is Manjaro KDE and Firefox comes pre-loaded and so I logged in with my new account and chose import bookmarks from HTML, having exported from Windows Firefox bookmarks via HTML. I see no file on the receiving end? Any ideas? Thank You, Ron

Halifax use a card verification process "Halifax Secure" to verify payments made with one of their cards. Using Firefox on Linux, the pop-up window opened by to perform the verification dialogue hangs when invoked from some, but not all web sites. Turning off tracking protection for the invoking site does not solve the problem, but perhaps its redirecting to another site in the popup?
Any workaround, or means of pinning down the actual cause would be appreciated. For now I'm having to switch to Chromium every time I hit this problem.
Thanks.

I'm experiencing relatively frequent crashes of Firefox under Ubuntu Focal (approximately daily). The rather frustrating aspect is that, after the crash, Firefox immediately crashes when attempting to restart (either from the crash reporter dialog, or separately after quitting and attempting to launch it again). Re-launching in safe-mode also crashes immediately. However, after rebooting the machine, Firefox is absolutely fine once more (until the next time) which suggests to me there's "some state" left lying around somewhere preventing the restart (and perhaps related to the crash itself).
Here's the IDs of a couple of the safe-mode crashes, from attempted restarts (I figure those are most useful in cutting out the potential cruft; for reference, the non-safe-mode crashes appear to be at the exact same location):
bp-1c86b7c1-de6f-4153-b120-3ac320200814 bp-14a13b2b-6c6d-4d67-982d-132da0200814
Nothing comes up in the Correlations section of the report, and a search of the signature doesn't seem to turn up much relevant. Frankly, if I could just figure out how to get the browser restarted without rebooting the whole machine, that'd be a big step forward for me :)
Many thanks for any attention people can give this,
Dave.
