Seems there is some difference between Firefox and other browsers.

If you want to overwritethe src of an image, you can use "content" from css. In my case this is used for customerspecific styling, being done via CSS only, while the default image is provided directly over src attribute inside html.

This Problem appears in Firefox for Windows and Firefox for Android This Problem doesnt appear for Chromium', Firefox on IOs, Safari on IOs

I have noticed for the past 3 or 4 updates Firefox refuses to update via Help |About. It tells me there is an update I click on the button on the about page to restart the browser yet the update never installs. The only way to update Firefox is to download the installer from Firefox website.

I have cleared cache and cookies and that has done nothing to solve this issue

Recently I have issues in Zoom meetings. To make browsing a bit more private I went and activated some of the settings from privacytools.io, but I can't remember changing privacy settings before the problems started occuring. On the Firefox Beta channel I don't see any video streams (not even my own) and on the nightly channel I hear others audio speed up and they sound like mice and they here me extemely slow.

Does anyone else have these issues or an idea which settings might cause this?

This week, I reset my computer. I had been logged into my Firefox account since February 2020 and noticed that my bookmarks and other stuff would be saved.

When I logged into my Firefox account in the web browser, nothing happened. I lost all my bookmarks.

It's very wiered because i really didn't get anything back, and i did'nt make a backup of my bookmarks before my reinstallation.

Someone has a solution to help me get back my bookmarks ?

I[m using Firefox 86 64-bit on my Win 10 desktop.

Beginning with Firefox 85, I have been unable to log in to my NYTimes account.

When I do go through the log in procedure, it appears to work, but then, when I am taken aback to the NYT home page, it shows that I am not logged in.

Appreciate any help anyone can provide.

Basically the only one showing up is uBlock origin, others show up as enabled when I go to the Manage your add-ons page, but not in the toolbar. I've tried resetting everything to default settings, updated every add-on, enabled history collection.. nothing has made a difference. Any tips would be very appreciated!

I have installed the dictionary for another language and when I right click the menu is there, however if I try to change the language it disappears. If I click again it's gone.

I have tried that if I disable UBlock Origin, the menu comes up, but I am not able to change language anyway. If I refresh, the menu disappears again.

After a recent upgrade, i noticed that i can't browse to certain website using firefox, however if I used chrome or any other browser it i can.

after troubleshooting, noticed that in firepower (firewall I am using), the requests are using "ultrasurf client" image attached. Thus application gets blocked.

Made sure I don't have any "ultrasurf" plugin / addon installed, I even tested with running firefox in safemode but still same issue.

I also noticed that when I try to load a site, the connection doesn't go to that website IP but to one of cloudflare IPs. DOH is disabled, I and blocked all Cloudflare connections on the firewall.

Has anyone noticed this with their firefox ?

Version 86 DOH Disabled Firepower detects Ultrasurf client Connections are made to Cloudflare ips (Specifically to the range 104.16.0.0/12)

I couldn't find this so I worked it out myself... post this as a fix for others!

TROUBLE: I have had problems with scrolling down using the scroll bar on reddit and elsewhere. When it got near the bottom it would uncontrollably jump back up not allowing me to get to the bottom of the page whether I held it with the cursor or not.

FIX: Go into options, general, browsing and turn off SMOOTH SCROLLING and AUTO SCROLLING.

I've reported this to the NY Times, but I can login fine with MS Edge browser, so I thought you'd want to know. Until this problem is fixed, I will have to use the Edge browser. All the best, John

update: I tried to login with Firefox 86.0 64 bit for Debian Linux 10.8 and it works OK.

As per topic title, while downloading files from my university website for class and switching back to a youtube page, I got the strange popup "Would you like to make this document your home page?" I selected no, but I would like to know if this is merely something that can happen at random with Firefox, or potential malware or the like.
