(sorry, don't know how to find or edit original question) It occurred to me to try reloading firefox, there was an update, & I can download pdf's again. So ignore previous question.

Hi I have a problem opening some pages with new certs. When I try to open them I get this message SEC_ERROR_CERT_NOT_IN_NAME_SPACE In LibreWolf v.115.0.2-2 it works, asks for cert approval and opens without a problem.

It looks like firefox recently updated with new privacy features (great!) What's not so great is that now it forces me to log into gmail each time I open a new browser window (not great). I have several different accounts that regularly use so this isn't ideal.

I've tried adding both gmail.com and google.com as exceptions under the cookie settings (didn't work). I even went and turned off the "enhanced tracking protection" on every step of the gmail login page and my inbox. Still kicks me out once I open a new browser. Any help to remedy this problem would be great.

I have customized Linux mint and set Firefox to open and load set my html file and when it opens it loads the file but it only displays text with white background. The original background disappeared. But when I manually open it works fine .

I was working in Firefox for windows with several tabs open. After a computer restart, my Firefox browser reopened but none of my (many) tabs would reload. I closed Firefox and attempted to restart it by using the "restore previous tabs" function. Instead of opening, I received a small window pop up with error message about "older versions of Firefox yada yada" with two option: create new profile or Exit. I click exit (which closed the window) and tried restarting Firefox again, but received the same error. This time I selected the create new profile button. Firefox relaunched but, not only did the "restore previous tabs" option disappear, my browser history was completely wiped. Is there any way to recover my tabs/previous session?

I've always had an informative single line "bar" at the base of my screen indicating available/open programs, USBs, etc. I don't know what it's called. I don't know why it disappeared today. And . . . I'd appreciate help it getting it to reappear (and learning the correct terminology.) Although in my 90s, I try to keep up with technology as much as possible. Thanks for your help.

I recently reloaded my M1 MacBook Air with macOS Sequoia. Ever since doing so, Firefox opens the right-click menu every time I press Control+Return (like when attempting to autocomplete a URL ending in .com, a feature I use quite frequently). It is only in Firefox that this happens, no other browser or program is doing this. I have uninstalled Firefox using AppCleaner, downloaded a new copy of Firefox 131.0 and reinstalled without any change in this behavior. Any ideas on what I can do to stop this so Control+Return only autocompletes a URL again?

Normally with a Firefox update, the 'Your Firefox has been updated' page is shown once. But after update 130.0, I can't get rid of it . Of course I can open a New tab but I'd rather not see this page at all: it has annoying graphics showing tips that i dont want!

for me, about:profiles currently shows my profile in use as:

Profile: Joey This is the profile in use and it cannot be deleted. Default Profile yes Root Directory C:\Users\Joey\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\7agyzsl4.Joey 10 Local Directory C:\Users\Joey\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\7agyzsl4.Joey 10 1. why does it say "Profile: Joey" when the profile filename is "Joey 10"?

2. I want it to say "Profile: Joey 10", or for that value to MATCH the filename of the root or local directory.

    What do I need to do?

Accidentally deleted a file downloaded to the Downloads folder when I intended to hit the Clear Downloads. If not recoverable, suggest moving the Delete away from Clear Downloads or require a confirmation before deleting.

I am facing an issue in which my headers and footers are completely okay in Chrome, however when it comes to Firefox, they are too stretched or there are a few irregularities, and as for the menu bar, the headings and links get separated unevenly all the time.
