I have tried to disable hardware acceleration, refresh firefox, reinstall, and nothing works. It hangs every single time when searching on google or connecting to websites. This really sucks because I have used firefox since the beginning and don't want to have to stop now..

Hello, I have a very odd problem with my firefox browser. I am running firefox 88 64bit on a 16.04 (I know...) Ubuntu. On certain websites, I have an issue with interactive content: www.leboncoin.fr will not let me login anymore (quite recent) www.decathlon.fr will have trouble displaying user comments, images, let alone placing an order Now and then websites with dynamic content and forms will not load...

I am not sure what is the link between all these but it seems related. I have tried the troubleshoot mode but it does not change anything. At the moment when I need to use these king of website I have to switch to another browser.

If i try to watch amazon prime video, Firefox crashes the whole system (no further action possible). Taskmanager does nothing, CPU is on 100%. Badly there is no crash report or Firefox log - maybe because the whole system is freezing completely. Widevine has been loaded correctly.

I tried Opera and there is no problem. I tried also 4 several PCs - always the same. Firefox crashes the whole system, Opera is working without problems. I didn´t try Edge or Chrome - i didn´t want to "rubbish" my system ;-)

Sure, i could use Opera, but ... my favorite is Firefox for all the years ;-) The failure appears with version 1.11 - earlier versions had no problem. I´ve only installed privacy badger and no other plugin or extension. Also DRM and widevine is activated. Reinstalling (after registry and install cleanup) didn´t solve the problem. And, yes, i have all recent updates on Windows 10, graphic card driver and Firefox.

The support of Amazon: "no idea" ;-(

After the most recent update, Firefox often takes 30 seconds or longer to load pages. This behavior began yesterday and has continued today. This isn't the first time this has happened. Solutions?

i have just downloaded Firefox and i go to open in and it flashes open an close immediately. the occurs every time that i open the program. i have reinstalled it multiple times to see if that's the issue, used the Microsoft store to download it, the website, i tried to get the beta that didn't help and i was just wondering what the issues was and wondering if you could. i looked in the error message folder as well and its empty.

Hi, can you help? I can't access morphy richards website from my phone and my pc through Firefox. I can access it through Microsoft Edge on my pc and my Samsung Internet app on my phone but not through my Firefox app or windows 11 Pro desktop pc. I get this message on my pc

Steps I have taken is clearing data, history and cache on pc, turning off mcafee firewall. I use my pc through a wired Internet connection and my phone through Wi-Fi and data and it's the same on both I can't access the website. Like I mentioned I can access it no problems through Microsoft Edge on my pc and Samsung Internet app on my phone so I have now pinpointed it to Mozilla Firefox being the issue, also this is the only website I have issues with. Version 120 (PC) continuously crashes and asks me to refresh and nothing happens (including after rebooting) so I had no choice to uninstall. I normally trust your updates but I'm really regretting this one. Can you help me not switch over to chrome? Maybe you're already aware of this bug and will have it fixed soon.

Yesterday Firefox started closing at random, sometimes instantly as soon as I open it. The crash dialog doesn't open, and if I go to about:crashes my most recent unreported crash is from 2019. Tried refreshing, reinstalling, completely wiping all profiles and starting fresh. If I use troubleshooting mode it won't open properly at allI am at a bit of a loss, any ideas?

I am running Firefox v 120.0 (64bit) on Windows 10 Pro version 22H2 OS build 19045.3570 and today Firefox has stopped playing the video track on youtube videos or any video that is embedded in a page. Audio works but the screen just shows a blank field of green. The progress bar will show frames from the video. IF I run Firefox in trouble shooting mode the videos play as normal with video and audio tracks.

I have already refreshed fire fox and uninstalled and reinstalled it but the video track is still a blank field of green in both full screen and small screen modes.

Anyone have any ideas on what configuration setting may be causing this? Thanks in advance, Brocky

I can sign into YouTube ok, and the pictures of the video's are ok, but whatever I try to watch I get a green screen and just the video sound? It started happening yesterday. I am getting fed up with YouTube and the issues it has with Firefox. I'm having to use Microsoft Edge to watch videos. I've done the 3 resets it says on the support page, but still have the issue. Hi! So, I don’t really know what I did but I tried opening Firefox and it says Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible.. I tried reinstalling it and it shows the same error. How do I fix this?

When I open Firefox after starting my computer, all of my tabs from the previous session are automatically restored, and they take several minutes to load. I don't have the "Open previous windows and tabs" setting enabled. Is there a way to stop Firefox from loading these tabs each time I open the browser?

After updating Firefox to 116.0.1 my tabs keep randomly crashing. I get some crash reports *occasionally* - meaning not all crashes produce a crash report - but I'm not sure what to do with them, they seem inconclusive. The last report (not for the last crash, though, which didn't produce any report) is bp-3334b934-58b5-4226-887a-235300231117

Hi, I suddenly have a thick white border around three sides of browser that I can't rid of. I did a search here and found what looked like a solution but there is no "Customize" button in FF any longer, so not sure how to fix this.

It is not running in compatibility mode either.

So, I've had this problem since last 3 months. I'm using Firefox with auto-update turned on. Right now my version is 110.0.

Every now and then Firefox stops to load any websites and after closing it and opening it again it won't open correctly saying that my profile was created using newer version of Firefox and I need to create new one. At some point I was on default-release-9 until I asked about it on Reddit and got a reply guiding me to check compatibility.ini in my profile directory and fair enough, when this happens, compatibility.ini indicates Firefox version 119 so Firefox is right thinking that values don't match.

But the definitive question is how do I stop Firefox from messing around with that file? I'm honestly tired of manually editing it every time Firefox stops working. I know that website loading problems can stem from my excessive uptimes but this is an issue I can work around by restarting Firefox from time to time.

Firefox is talking out through a Comcast-supplied router to the outside world and the captive portal attempt is being sent to one of localhost's aliases.

The firewall was setup as ufw disable; ufw reset; ufw default deny incoming; ufw default allow outgoing; ufw enable. I added a screenshot of youtube having flickering while video is being played, it is a bit hard to see but there is a slightly brighter stripe on the grey background and picture cant depict flickering; it starts immediately after video is started and stops after 3-4 sec after video is paused, like there is some background activity behind youtube foreground. I understand my comp is weak (Intel Iris Graphics 550 1536 MB 8 GB, 2133 MHz LPDDR3), but not that much, please help

I often log in to a service ticketing website to help my customers. Before emailing them I must reference the service ticket number somewhere in the email, but this is very difficult to do in Firefox. If I inspect the element this is what I see:

I understand the unselectable attribute is on but even if I try setting it to off or deleting it all together the problem remains. Moreover, I've tried it in several browsers (Chrome, Edge, DuckDuckGo) and it works fine without any extensions or tricks.

In other words: only Firefox keeps me from selecting this very important piece of info.

Any help would be very much appreciated! I looked up help articles but nothing similar to my case. I did find an extension for the browser but I am afraid to try it due to security reasons.

As described in this thread (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1431159#answer-1618832), I had a problem accessing one particular domain after doing everything I could find to fix it. Setting DNS to Increased Protection fixed it. It's partly just curiosity but also concern that I'm asking if there is an issue that should be addressed.

The basic scenario: could not access one particular domain only in FF on one computer. No problems with FF on other devices and no problem with other browsers on the computer in question. Configuring DNS settings to Increased Protection is the only thing that allowed me to access that site (which happens to be the org I work for). So the setting is only necessary on this device and only for that domain.

What's the explanation or solution for ensuring I don't have other DNS issues, or something else, that will be a problem later?

When trying to launch firefox like normal I got a "Your profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible" which would keep it from starting. Periodically, with firefox not even running in the background, I would get the XULRunner error (see attached image).

Looking online for solutions I took two steps: 1. located my profiles folder and deleted it 2. reinstalled firefox entirely

As you can see by the attached image the same error messages as before would actually interrupt the install itself.

I am at a loss and any help would be appreciated since Chrome sucks and I'd like to keep using Firefox.
