Since the latest download one of my 3 win10 PC's is displaying icons on top of the text. Firefox is up to date at Ver 118.0.1 (64-bit) I expect its a setting but I cannot find it. Screenshot attached. TIA KR's Andy B

This is a recurring problem. I have just been on to Vodafone who have tweaked my router as my speeds, download and upload, were very erratic, and upload speed often zero so connections failed. Sometimes my phone speeds were similar but not always. The Speedtest by Oopla desktop app also showed erratic results but often when they were OK the web-based test on Firefox was much worse, with upload speed zero. When I started this Firefox showed upload speed zero. Now Firefox shows upload 18Mbps. This variability keeps happening and is driving me spare, as even emails often fail to go through - I use Thunderbird. I shall see how things go tomorrow and tell you how it is going.

Can't update to latest version, or access any Mozilla site. Instead I get an Unable to Connect -- try again message. No other websites affected, just Mozilla. Tried running Firefox in recovery mode, same result. Also tried to download an installation package using Chrome. Again, the same error. I'm asking for help on my phone, since doing so on my laptop is denied. Would appreciate assistance.

I use 50+ Add-Ons on Firefox. I would like see all the Add-Ons I gave permission to work in Private Mode, all in one page. Is there a Settings page that shows all Add-On permissions to shown in one place?

So far I've been clicking on each Add-On, one by one. It becomes very tedious to manage them when you have no other choice.

What is going on? Before, I was able to close firefox with the close button. Now, anytime i do that, when i reopen firefox it will not reopen the tabs. Sometimes I will be able to type in the search bar and almost get the windows to switch.

This is so annoying, ive already lost a lot of tabs i will not be able to get back.

Hola. Mi ordenador tiene Debian 12. Utilizo Firefox 118, instalado a través de Flatpak. El problema que tengo en algunas páginas es que veo las fuentes pixeladas y la impresión es muy defectuosa, hasta el punto de no entender lo que aparece escrito. Esto sólo pasa en algunas páginas.

Si descargo directamente Firefox desde la página de Mozilla y abro la paǵina con una configuración limpia del navegador, las fuentes se ven correctamente; sin embargo, si sincronizo los datos de usuario, instalándose los datos, extensiones y demás las fuentes en determinadas páginas se ven mal.

Desactivé las extensiones pero el problema no se resuelve. Desde una instalación limpia de Firefox instalé una a una las extensiones y complementos, pero no logré reproducir el problema. Borré incluso la caché del navegador, pero nada. Y también sincronicé los datos de usuario en una instalación de Firefox en Fedora, pero el resultado es también negativo.

Alguna idea?

Centurylink Webmail will not open in Firefox. Worked yesterday but not today. Can open it on Chrome, Edge, and surprisingly a "Private" Firefox window.

I've made no changes to browsers in the past week so don't believe it is anything I did.

One version says go "Tools > Options > Content" - but my Tools mention has no options found

Other version says to " Enable JavaScript on Mozilla Firefox

   1. On the web browser, click the Firefox menu and select Options.
   2. In Options window, select the Content tab.
   3. Mark the Enable JavaScript checkbox.
   4. In Options window, click on the OK button to close it.
   5. Click on the Reload current page button on the web browser to refresh the page.

I contacted you the other day and refreshed which helped somewhat, today It would not come up aT all. I am contacting from edge at the moment. I am very frustrated. Is there a chance I could talk to a live person; this takes way to long?

I'm using my Firefox with Custom CSS with toolkit.legacy thing enabled. I'm using Firefox for my everything and I love it. But It keeps break my current profile then starts a new profile that everything has been reset. It keeps break my profile and starts a new profile. I lose everything... It's enough for me. I could not find any solution for it. If It's not fixed, I'll stop using this beautiful browser :'(

Per version 118 we now have the possibility to have webpages to be automatically translated from its original language to another one. As end user I get prompted for every page I visit whether I would like that to be translated. This is quite the flow-stopper. I have no need nor interest for this amazing functionality. However, I can't find anywhere an explanation on how to disable that functionality. I would appreciate it if I was not prompted for this translation possibillty. My question: how to disable this translation functionality alltogether? (I.e. How to stop Firefox asking me about it?)

On my work laptop, I disabled "Recommended by Pocket" to avoid distractions.

On my personal laptop, that setting is already enabled. But I never see any stories recommended by pocket when I open a new tab. What can I do about this?

Over the last year I have uninstalled FF removed settings then reinstalled from scratch. Its been over a year now and FF never can pin point where I am at. Today it says I am 1300+ miles from where I am. I really don't want to go back to using Chrome but it appears I will have to as it normally has my exact position. I travel for 6 months of the year and have 3 internet connections shared via an internal WiFi that I use 99% of the time. They are connected via Starlink, GoogleFi (T-Mobile) and AT&T SIMs. I have a SSID with the _nomap suffix and that fixes Chrome but FF NEVER seems to know where I am, no matter how many times I clear the browsing data. I really don't want to go back to Chrome, but I cannot do my work if FF thinks I am somewhere else all the time. Geez, If only there was an addon or extension that would override FF location so I could tell it where I am. I'm in FF Hell. -Bill

Is there a way to stop Firefox from creating a desktop shortcut every time it updates? It is just desktop clutter for a lot of people, especially since Firefox is pinned to the taskbar anyhow.

I was uninstalling another app when I noticed that there are two application icons for Firefox, one dated 3/25 2023 and one dated 9/26/2023 (just installed new update). How do I get rid of the first application dated 3/25/2023?

I used to use Nimbus Screen Capture, until it started having issues with the latest Firefox configuration.

It was capable of allowing the user to create a template to customize screen capture title.

Is there any way to do this for the Firefox built-n screenshot tool?
