I have Firefox on several devices. I turned syncing of bookmarks off for now, but as I need some of them on my current device I'd like to know in what direction FF syncs bookmarks? If Device A has one set of bookmarks and Device B has the other one or none, will FF delete bookmarks on Device A, merge or add them to it?

I have more than one computer with firefox on it and want to sync bookmarks and other settings but other machines do not have mail access. I keep my mail on one computer only. Been burnt by hackers and want to minimize access. Microsoft allows a code to be sent to cell phone for authorizations. Do you have a similar option? BTW how many times are you going to ask for verification on sync. Seems like it happens regularly.

I did a Firefox restore due to suspect browser hijack ( it wasn't). All mu saved logins have been eraases so tried to do a manaul sync.
This pops up a yellow bar along the top of the "Logins and Paswords" page saying "Please enter your master password to view saved logics and passwords" . I don't have a master password set so that makes little sense. To the right of the yellow bar is a button "login". if i click the button ther yellow bar goes away but there is no log in dialog.

I was fresh installing windows on my desktop but because i've always used mozilla i never actually checked my password. When i installed it after installing windows i couldn't remember my password so naturally i reset it . But then I noticed that all my bookmarks and saved passwords are gone ( i know why is this and it is totally understandable) so i checked my mozilla on my iphone where i used the same account. All the passwords and bookmarks are still there but i am logged out of the account. My question is if i log in with the current password on the iphone , will the data sync or it will be wiped because of the new password? Is there some way to extract the passwords and bookmarks form my iphone if the way i mentioned above wipes the data?

Hi, I have Firefox 68 (andoid) registered to Firefox Sync with all my credentials. Now I installed on linux Firefox 70, enabled sync for my account but credentials are no more synced. I think it is an issue due to a old Firefox account, created when there were no Firefox Lockwise.
I followed the migration guide but probably I was not able to understand the procedure: I
- disconnected sync on all my browsers
- sign in again from my android device with sync using the same email (I've read that is possible)
Help please!
PS: I tried to install Firefox Lockwise but credentials are empty for my account, despite I forced manually sync from my android.

Have tried several times, over the past 2-3 weeks, to get my yahoo.com email address confirmed by Firefox. It always takes at least 45 minutes to over an hour to hit my inbox.
It always arrives, just late. And since the code expires after only 5 minutes, it's always a fail.
Seriously though, only 5 minutes?! Are you kidding me? Over-zealous much? That's nuts.
I don't have this problem getting confirmed by any other site. I've done a half-dozen or more in the past couple of months.
Just sent myself an email from a gmail account, it hit my yahoo.com inbox in under a minute.
Can anyone out there, on the inside, lend a hand in getting me confirmed?

How can I sync add-ons without syncing their settings? Why doesn't firefox give me the option of opting out of syncing "add-on settings"?

Hi all,
Since a few months ago, Firefox started syncing add-on settings without giving you the option to opt out of it. I'm not talking about syncing the add-ons themselves which is a great thing and also the user can turn it off. I'm talking about add-on settings, syncing of which can be problematic. For example, I have a few website blocker add-ons. I have given these add-ons a list of websites to block on my older son's computer, while I have given them a different list to block on my younger son's computer. This is not viable anymore because Firefox syncs all their settings without asking me. The other problem is that even the disable/enable option of these add-ons are synced, which means that if I have these website blockers enabled on my sons' computers, they are also enabled on my own computer. Consequently, if I disable them on my own computer, they will be disabled on my sons' computers. This is a major issue. I have previously contacted Firefox about this, but I assume it has been lost in the large number feedback that they receive.
The blocker add-on was just an example, so please don't offer me solutions for that one add-on. This needs to be fixed for all add-ons.

I have three devices using Firefox, all synced under 1 FF account. Three of these devices are working well and continue to sync without issue. My desktop is the fourth device, and it was working until I formatted it and started from scratch. Upon my fresh install of FF 70 on Win 10 1903, I recieve "unexpected error" after only entering my email address in and trying to proceed. This generates an error in the console:
Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at https://api.accounts.firefox.com/v1/account/status. (Reason: CORS request did not succeed).
I have uninstalled and reinstalled FF, cleared my windows profile appdata folder, C:/programdata folder, all registry entries citing mozilla or firefox, and nothing seems to be able to fix this.
Any advice? Thank you!

Hi
Today I downloaded FF at work, made a FF account using my personal email account and created a load of work related bookmarks and passwords etc. Got home and downloaded FF on my mac and realized when I signed in that I got all my work related passwords and bookmarks etc. That is all useless to me as it's behind a private network.
So, I thought I'll create two FF accounts, 1 for work, 1 for personal. So I added a second email (my work email) to my FF account. Then made that work email my primary email and deleted the secondary email account (my personal email).
But the problem is that I can't use my supposedly deleted non associated personal email to create another FF account. Every time I do, it says "Primary account email required"
So what do I do

What does firefox sync actually mean? If I google this, the only answer I is that it syncs your data between devices. Duh!
Let's say I have two devices and device #1 is the way I want both. So if I sync on #1, does it send #1's data to the cloud? Then I move to device #2 and want the same setup. What do I do? Sync? Does this download the previously synced #1's data? Or does it upload #2's data.
I this this is a reasonable question that no one seems to be able to answer.
Why is a website that I use everyday is being blocked?
The website that I use everyday is now being blocked because it is not a Secure Site. Which is crazy because I just used it on Saturday.
