I extremely triggered of this extremely incomfort Mozilla support. Recently I log in in f****n@ya.ru account and wrote a 2 massages to one of users. Now I want to log in and see are my massages answered and see THAT: "The email used with this Firefox Account is already linked in another profile.", "This account is not active. Please contact an administrator if you believe this is an error". contact the administrator - WHERE is administrator email or ANYTHING that give me a possibility to contact him?! In any non-extremely uncomfort site there's will be a link in "contact an administrator" for I'm not be forced to turn the world upside down in search of this administrator. But there's no link. Ok, I find "contact" button, see standart "contact" page for big companies with large text instead of 1-3 emails, Ctrl+F "administrator" - no matches. WHO should I contact if I have this problem, why this site so intricate?!! Why it's saying "CONTACT administrator" without GIVING CONTACTS of administrator?!! Why can't I log in my account?!!

I am building a website and, for the last couple of days, when I make changes to the CSS file they are no longer being picked up by the browser by which I mean they aren't displayed in the web page nor in the developer tools inspector.

They are visible in Chromium browser and dev tools.

I have cleared the cache and refreshed the page to no avail. It is only when I restart the browser that the new style rules take effect in the browser and show up in the dev tools.

I just upgraded to Firefox 77, x64, Windows 10 2004.

Firefox 76 already broke LockWise - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1287008

Now Firefox 77 breaks 99% of all websites. (See attached screenshot.) www.example.com www.google.com www.wikipedia.org etc

Somehow, support.mozilla.org works, UNTIL I try to log in.

I've tried incognito mode, safe mode, etc. When I change charset of the page, the text displays differently, but it's still a useless mishmash.

--- BUT --- when I open developer tools, click the HTML request and click the Response tab, the HTML renders correctly there.

Have updated to FF 79 yesterday on a private computer (with admin privileges on my user).

Ever since, the browser options changed specifically:

1) In Help > About I cannot trigger an update anymore as the button is replaced by the message "Updates are deactivated by system administrator"

2) In Settings it reads "The browser is administrated by your organization".

Never seen this.

On another computer with the same antivirus software FF updated to 79, no trouble. On yet another machine with Win Defender only also no trouble after update.

Malware & antivirus scans both come up empty. Removed and re-installed FF already to no avail.

On the troubled machine some big Win Update is not yet made available by Microsoft...

Somebody knows what is going on?

My Firefox Browser has just updated itself automatically to 78.0.2 (I use it with MacOs 10.14.16). Since then, I have been unable to access Wikipedia. Whether I enter an url or I try a search through the search bar with the Wikipedia module the result is the same: nothing happens at all. If the url bar is empty it remains empty, if there was another url before it comes back instead of the wikipedia url I typed. The same thing is occurring on both my MacBook Air and my iMac which run under a previous version of MacOs.

Over the past 48 hours there have been at least ten breaches of my account. At first I assumed it was a breach of PayPal when someone used it to purchase a $3000 laptop on Newegg. I figured it couldn't be Firefox because Mozilla is pretty good with that sorta thing and because the only fraud was via my PayPal account. Well ... just over an hour ago someone attempted to purchase a $2200 laptop with my Amazon account using a completely different payment method, and I received several emails in both my Gmail and Protonmail regarding several accounts which I did not create. Firefox is the only browser I use, and I have passwords stored in it; I'll have to change all of them and remove them to a thumb drive. But Firefox appears to have a data breach ongoing right now. I can share screenshots if necessary but I will have to redact personal information and that will of course take time.

I'm not certain who to turn to for support, but I'm starting here. I also can't tell if there is one sole cause of all of these issues or several, but please do your best to explain what's going on.

1-2 months ago, some strange things started happening with my computer repeatedly. Consistently, a command prompt would open unexpectedly, saying something about Chromium failing to update. I couldn't do anything with that program, so I just X'd it out, and maybe around a minute later Firefox would crash and restart. Once that happened, my Firefox home page would be set to Yahoo.com, and the default search engine would also be changed to Yahoo!. And on my desktop, shortcuts for Internet Explorer and Chromium would be added, and the shortcut for Chromium would be automatically pinned to my taskbar.

Windows Security would then notify me that it's blocked a threat, so I'd go to check it out and remove said threat. Every time, it;d say the blocked threat makes changes to browser settings without proper permission, and the blocked threat is called "sodecitot.exe", located in a filepath like c:\programdata\{5b729525-380e-6a38-89c28-8402d0dace36}\sodecitot.exe (just in case it's some obscure ID, I've swapped out those numbers and letters with random numbers and letters). Then Windows Security reports "Remediation incomplete" on the same threat, implying it attempted to restore itself. That letter and number folder name notably follows the same format as a bunch of folders which were last modified when I first turned on this computer on January 1, 2019.

I was getting a lot of such reports from Windows Security on very similar threats, having various different letters and numbers for their folder names, and I figured it was likely malware, so I made several full scans with MSERT, Malwarebytes, Windows Security, and Windows Defender Online Scan, all to no avail.

I don't even know why Internet Explorer is installed, but its files were last modified in February 2019, so I think it's just a shortcut that was added.

I'm not sure what Chromium is or why it's installed either. I tried to look it up to learn more about it but found nothing useful, and its executable looks like a blue version of Google Chrome's logo. Some parts of Chromium's installation were last modified in October 2019, but most of its files were modified just today.

Notably as well, when these problems started happening 1-2 months ago, there were two instances of all of my desktop shortcuts having weird visual issues, one being the little arrows on the shortcuts (which indicates it's a shortcut and not an actual file) being replaced with a X's, and a separate instance where the Audacity logo was over top every other shortcut for a few minutes.

With the same events happening today, a new error message opened, saying something about Windows Explorer attempting to load the C runtime library incorrectly (screenshot included).

I also considered turning to Mozilla, Google, and/or Microsoft support when this was originally happening, but then it suddenly stopped. I had a bunch of screenshots of some of the weirder things, but since nothing was happening for a while I deleted them. Now, 1-2 months later, it's starting right back up and I don't know why. I suspect it all links back to Chromium, but I'm not sure if I can just delete its files and call it quits, because I don't know if it's supposed to be there. It seems like something by Google, but I can't even confirm that.

So yeah. Any suggestions?

My computer has a Windows 10 operating system. Mozilla Firefox is installed and constantly open, used for entertainment. Google Chrome is installed and constantly open, used for work. Apparently, some part of Google Chrome's installation trips off Malwarebytes whenever I make a scan. Removing it causes Chrome to crash, and once I open it again that part is replaced. Usually, I just remove it so I don't miss any other threats, and then just restore my closed tabs. Audacity is installed and has a desktop shortcut. Internet Explorer is apparently installed, and there is no uninstall executable as far as I can tell. Whatever it is, Chromium seems to keep trying to install itself, with parts of it already existing on my computer.

I received the following information from one of your team: Frequent Firefox Crashes

cor-el Jul 20, 2020, 5:44:39 PM OK, I found one crash report from Firefox 78.0.2. • Firefox 78.0.2 Crash Report [@ RtlSizeHeap | NS_FaultTolerantHeap::APIHook_RtlFreeHeap ] bp-2544f95b-926b-4b8f-b0e1-6c9740200720 This crash report looks like related to the Windows block list for injected DLLs. Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems. • https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-start-windows-in-safe-mode/https://www.7tutorials.com/4-ways-boot-safe-mode-windows-10

Since I am totally blind, I cannot run the computer in SAFE MODE because I won't have speech and screen reader to guide me through it. I do not have any sighted help at my beck and call to "mouse" things through for me. Perhaps when this social-distancing stuff relaxes a bit so that I can have someone from the Best Buy Geek Squad come here, that person might be able to go further in troubleshooting the crashes. IN THE MEANTIME, I'll have to GIVE UP ON FIREFOX and use another browser. In doing that, I mention again that THE CRASHES DO NOT OCCUR IN GOOGLE CHROME, BUT THEY DO IN FIREFOX! So for now, at least, I have to conclude that there is a Firefox issue which I won't be able to troubleshoot further unless I can get sighted help. Also, I note that running in SAFE MODE is a "testing process" on which I would have to somehow get back to the screen that caused the crashes. Most of the time, these crashes seem to be happening when I am trying to finalize a purchase and pay for an item. For now, at least, I AM STUMPED AND, QUITE RELUCTANTLY, GIVING UP ON FIREFOX FOR NOW, though I remain open to any further suggestions which I could carry out without sighted assistance.

Here is the background information so you know a bit about this ongoing troubleshooting project:

Frequent Crashes - Follow-up Eve Jul 23, 2020, 2:45:58 AM

It sounds like a double-whammy of a Firefox issue and then an additional Windows issue where you can't run accessibility settings in Windows Safe Mode? Looking into the bug that this is potentially attached to I found this information ( https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1652912 ) : Having NS_FaultTolerantHeap::APIHook_RtlFreeHeap in the crashing stack means Fault Tolerant Heap (= FTH) has been enabled for firefox.exe. FTH is automatically activated when Windows OS detects some heap-related issue which it thinks can be mitigated by FTH such as double free. This crash means Firefox crashed due to some heap related issue earlier, which enabled FTH, but probably FTH was not be able to mitigate the heap issue. First of all, can you check FTH is activated for firefox.exe through event viewer? 1. Open Event Viewer from Start menu (or, run eventvwr from command prompt) 2. In the left pane of Event Viewer, go to Applications and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows > Fault-Tolerant-Heap > Operational 3. If FTH is activated for firefox.exe, you'll find Event ID 1003 as the attached screenshot. If FTH is activated, instead of looking into this crash, we need to investigate the original heap issue without FTH. You can disable FTH by stopping Diagnostic Policy Service. Can you do the following steps to send us a crash report without FTH? 1. Open Command prompt as Administrator 2. Run "net stop dps" 3. Open Firefox and follow the steps causing the tab crash 4. Send a crash report 5. Go back to the command prompt and run "net start dps" to re-enable the service This may be caused by a third-party application. Given that 99.26% of the crashes of this signature involves AccessibleHandler.dll, do you use a screen reader or some accessibility related application? If it is related to a screen reader, you may have to use Chrome for the time being until you can get more assistance :(

You gave me this instruction: 2. In the left pane of Event Viewer, go to Applications and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows > Fault-Tolerant-Heap > Operational Two issues I had: On a screen reader, I have no idea which is "left column" and "right column" since to a large extent a screen reader is rather "divorced" from the physical layout that sighted people see on the screen (I am totally blind and don't even have a monitor nor mouse running on this machine). Then, I found application and services log... but I did not find anywhere Microsoft > Windows > Fault-Tolerant-Heap > Operational I had Microsoft > and several things with Windows but nothing about fault tolerance. When I went on to your second request: 1. Open Command prompt as Administrator 2. Run "net stop dps" 3. Open Firefox and follow the steps causing the tab crash 4. Send a crash report 5. Go back to the command prompt and run "net start dps" to re-enable the service

When I did step 2 as Administrator as you asked, I got the error message that Windows cannot find "net stop dps . I tried the command both with and without the quotation marks and got the same error message. Please remember that the Windows 10 on my computer is the HOME version, not the Windows PROFESSIONAL VERSION with all the security stuff found on that version and used in office environments. From a practical standpoint, unless you folk have another suggestion, it appears that i will likely have to GIVE UP ON FIREFOX (remembering from your message that most of these particular crashes result from an issue with Firefox working with screen readers) until a time comes when Firefox might be updated to resolve issues between Firefox and screen readers. I believe I will contact Vispero, the publisher of JAWS, to let them know about the problem I am having with all these crashes in the current version of Firefox. Of course, I am open to try any other suggestions to further diagnose the problem, if I can carry them out with speech and NO SIGHTED HELP.

Hi I support young people ( aged 7-11) with Dyslexia. they all use Firefox to log in to their lessons. It automatically recognises them and it is a system they are familiar with. All of the lap tops up grade to the latest system automatically. One of them does not work on the new version. The students get a message which says version 78.0.2 is not compatible with 78.0.1 It is a Windows system. This is really distressing for the students using this lap top. They blame themselves for the problems and itis having an affect on their confidence. Can I revert it back to the older version ? and if so how? I really would appreciate some help as my wee students are upset and i don't know how to help.

I recently updated Firefox to 78.0.2 running on Ubuntu 18.04. After the update, I could no longer access my website. I emptied all the cookies, cache, history files and everything else and I still couldn't access the site.

I then upgraded Ubuntu to 20.04 with a brand new install that came with the same version of Firefox. I still can't access my website.

On a second computer also running Firefox 78.0.2 on Ubuntu 18.04 I can access my website with no problems. I can also access the website using Google Chrome and from my cell phone and tablets.

The computer on which I can access my website has the website's certificate permanently stored and I can view it from the site's page info. On the problem computer, there is no certificate stored. When I try to get the certificate, it times out with a message "Unable to obtain identification status for this site". No error page pops up and no other information is available.

Can anyone help out here?
