I have blocked all websites from accessing my geolocation by default in the privacy settings and there are no exceptions on the list.

And yet,

1) many websites I visit seem to have my geolocation, even though I have never shared any information with them

2) the last two suggestions on the first page when I search for anything are always linked to my location

How is this possible? How do I fix it?

Thank you

I recently added an ADDON that function to, OPEN A LINK IN A NEW TAB.

I saw something about that the Addon wasn't monitored for security.

This lead me to ask this question:

DO ADDONS SEND INFORMATION TO OTHER ENTITIES BESIDES FIREFOX, FOR EXAMPLE DO THEY SEND INFO TO THE DEVELOPERS OF ADDONS?

Thanks for your help in advance, Kavin King

Hello All ,

Hope someone can help me on this. I am trying to access directly a device from Browser with an IP address. https://192.168.1.1 But i get the error : "Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead"

Usually get the option of adnaced to proceed further. The Version is 130.0 (64-bit) and even set the about:config, security.dialog_enable_delay to minimum.

I have added the self signned certificate of the deivice to Firefox , but that is not helping, since i am accessing it with IP address and not FQDN. I cannot add it as exception in the exception list , since that setting also ask for DNS name.

Ip address access exception is no more available in this version , how can i proceed further and not downagrade to lower verion to support access via IP .

I keep experiencing this problem with different websites: Safari works, Firefox doesn't.

Sample: I turned out the enhanced tracking protection, Privacy is set to Standard for

I entered valid license numbers (230880, 239798). Firefox displays NOTHING, no error message. Safari displays the relevant info.

Why is this and what should I do if I want to continue using Firefox? Thanks.

I have noticed some activity in my server logs featuring user agent strings where the "rv" component contains a decimal number greater than 0, such as the following example:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:115.8) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/124.0

Could you please clarify if there are instances where the "rv" portion of a user agent string would legitimately include a decimal number greater than 0?

This looks to be something suspicious going on and would like to make sure if this is something legitimate or not.

I really don't remember installing any plug-in related to it. The Youtube web page shows a download button at the bottom of the video window, when I click on it it opens a pop-up window to the Yt5s web page, but the mentioned web is full of forced advertising and all kind of irregular staff. When I go to the plug-ins section of Firefox it is not shown there. I have no idea how to remove this script. May you please help me?

My blog has started displaying the message, "Firefox can't open this page". The message also says, "To protect your security, accounts.google.com will not allow Firefox to display the page if another site has embedded it. To see this page, you need to open it in a new window." But opening it in a new window didn't work. I tried clearing the cache, and pasting the link into a new open tab, but neither helps. I tried opening it in Safari, and that works fine, so this seems to be a Firefox problem. Any suggestion?

How might I become a trusted SSL certificate issuer? You guys have really been shaking things up the past few years, so that certificates have been the biggest pain in the ass of all time. Do I have to reinvent the entire internet just to sell products online? My 4096 bit SSL certificates generated with openssl have 8x more robust encryption than most of the bilge on the internet, and in a lot of cases, 16x more robust encryption, but your browsers shoot everything down -- literally everything.

People have to make money, guys -- you don't really understand. Nobody cares about your "world view." I don't do business with any of you, you're not the government, I need a secure encrypted website to sell online, but you won't stop complaining that my SSL certificates are somehow "untrusted." I think you have mistaken "untrusted" for "uncrackable by current state of the art," because rumor has it that Google's quantum computer has difficulty cracking 2048 bit SSL certificates.

Why do you need to crack everybody's website encryption anyway? Are you trying to intercept financial transactions? How does that make you more trustworthy than me who doesn't hack anyone? I just want to sell my products in an online storefront. I think you guys really need to get off of your moral high horse, because you seem like the enemy to just about everyone I've ever talked to in my life.

Don't be surprised when I release my own browser and start blocking your crappy 256 bit SSL certificates for being inferior and "insecure." I've kind of had it with Firefox, Chromium, Chrome, Edge, etc... It seems like a colossal waste of time for me to have to release my own damned browser just to sell a freaking t-shirt online in America. This is really capitalism at its worst.
