So this is an issue I've mainly noticed on my work computer, but it's really odd in how it breaks things.
If I go to some websites (such as https://www.fandom.com/ or https://forums.spacebattles.com/) and start browsing, the website will work perfectly until it hits an unseen limit at which point it refuses to change anything - even refreshing the page does nothing.
The only convenient work around I've found is to right click the link and press "Open in new container tab", where I can browse again before I hit the limit again - rinse and repeat.
Using Windows 10, latest update of firefox, cleared cache and cookies, and I'd like to find a method that doesn't involve me restarting the computer every time this happens. Thoughts??

Some websites, like my bank, don’t let you paste into the password field. I don’t want to manually type in the password. I found a workaround:
But the problem is that pasting into a google document no longer works. I have to revert the value back to “true” to get copy-pasting working in a google document.
Is there a way to have the best of both worlds: paste in google docs and paste in sites that block pasting, like my bank?

Have been getting this error message for many days now, even in troubleshooting mode with all extensions disabled.
Bug?
However can login to my Medicare account directly with Brave browser without any issue. Seems to suggest some fundamental problem/incompatibility with Firefox (102.4esr)
Note, have tried everything that would appear to apply from this reply to same question : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1393619
+ would think that starting in troubleshooting mode with all extensions disabled suggests some fundamental incompatibility/bug.

Hi, For decades it was not a problem to simply open a file instead of saving it, but now it doesn't matter if you wanna save or only open a files, it will save it anyway and pollute your download folder and download list.
And the fake explanation they give about "but its hard to find file in temp folder..."... SERIOUSLY!? that's your excuses!? If i want to simply open a file its not to save it so there is no need to find it otherwise i choose the "save to" option not the "open" one... What the point of having to choose between two option if they both do the exact same thing (no sorry one open the file AFTER saving it without our consent and in an unwanted place while the other simply save it where we want as expected...)
Update after update firefox is becoming a real pain to use... everything that used to work perfectly with easy setting to understand now either don't work anymore either has getting extremly difficult to set with random unrelevant setting that do not at all what they say they do... i think that last one will kill firefox... seriously who got such a terrible idea "hey let's fucked up open setting so it work the same way as save setting without telling anyshit to anyone so our company can die"

The bookmark sidebar freezes - bookmarks don't work, can't expand folders, etc.
Pressing Ctrl-B twice to hide and display the sidebar fixes it; however, a solution would be nice. I've tried testing in safe mode to rule out add-on conflicts, but I'm not sure how to reproduce the error.
I'm using just 3-4 bog-standard add-ons: uBlock, etc.

I am trying trying to launch firefox in Linux systems through selenium webdriver in a specific language. I have created a profile and using "intl.accept_languages" as below: FirefoxOptions firefoxOptions = new FirefoxOptions(); FirefoxProfile firefoxProfile = new FirefoxProfile(); firefoxProfile.setPreference("intl.accept_languages", "<language_code>"); firefoxOptions.setProfile(firefoxProfile); firefoxOptions.setHeadless(isHeadless); driver = new FirefoxDriver(firefoxOptions);
I am getting the below error: Region.jsm: "Failed to fetch region" (new TypeError("NetworkError when attempting to fetch resource.", "")
Additional details: OS: Linux Firefox version: 91.11.0 Gecko driver version: 0.31.0 Selenium version: 4.1.4
Kindly help.

Subject line says it mostly. Normally, when you click a bookmark button it replaces the content in current window by default. I am aware I can hold CTRL or SHIFT down to launch a new tab or window respectively. I would however like to be able for certain bookmarks to set the default launch behavior, similar to setting the HTML target=_blank tag on a link. I need certain bookmarks to always launch into new windows (and even nicer would be to launch into a conveniently resized window to left or right of my current window). The idea is that there are frequently times when the content of both windows is needed at same time.

All I am trying to do is make my bookmarks stay organized in an alphabetic order with folders on top and do so recursively through all my subfolders. I'm currently running 102.4.0esr (64-bit). I can't find any setting to make that happen. All the other posts here seem to suggest manually doing "sort by name" to the folder I create the new bookmark in and that seems mind bogglingly stupid from a UI approach. I have to be missing something. Can someome explain how to turn this on? Currently it always just creates new bookmarks and folders at the bottom of the view which drives me crazy.

I'm using a Chromebook and downloaded Firefox ESR in an effort to get doxy.me (a telemedicine video site) to work. I cannot get the camera to work because Firefox won't send a request asking for permission for my camera. So when I go into firefox setting, it looks like no sites have requested access to my camera. I checked my chromebook settings and allowed firefox access to the camera, but I can't figure out why it won't find my camera or request permission to use it. The microphone requested permission and is working fine.

For some reason PDF (and I think sometimes other downloads) fail when I try to do them on Firefox. They work perfecty well on Chrome. I either get the message 'download failed', or if the download completes, then before it oopens I get the error message saying that there has been some problem. Paradoxically, this also happened when I tried to download Firefox's own recent update. What can I do to fix this?
