Since the latest upgrade (I now have Firefox 105.0.1) I can't upload many web pages on Firefox. If I close Firefox then open it again, the site usually loads. However, I have to repeat the process for other sites. I'm spending all my time closing and opening Firefox. Can anyone help? The problem has only arisen over the last few days.

How can I uninstall the latest Firefox Update? My version is 105.01. When I right click on the file menu, there is a blank menu, except for the "Bookmarks Menu" is the only thing. Also, the side menu on the right side is useless. None of the commands show except for a couple keyboard shortcuts. I tried changing themes and also changed to the default theme with no luck.

I rely heavily on the menus so i would love to roll back/uninstall the update. Thank you. nottyn

When I'm on a web page, I'd like to be able to drag or copy the URL, with its associated name, from the address bar into Onenote. When I do that now I only get the URL in Onenote. I can get both the URL and name if first I drag the URL to the bookmark bar and then I drag the bookmark into Onenote.

Does anyone know a way to get it done in one step?

Hi, Since some weeks the Norton Virus Sanner (Smart Scan) tells me that the file

   c\program files\mozilla firefox\00009757.tmp is infected with a trojan horse.

The file is removed. But with the next scan it shows up again.

Do you have any insight in this problem (false alarm, caused by some other program)?

Regards Stephan

Accidentally added a misspelling to the Firefox dictionary. Thought it would be easy to locate and edit the dictionary.

Enabled 'show hidden files.'

On XYplorer, and Windows File Explorer can find not a single trace of 'persdict.dat' in my profiles folder.

It would be really helpful if you could advise what the next step would be. Thanks.

I changed the systme theme in windows 10 to dark, websites still show up in white theme. Most websites that support dark mode will by default use the system theme, in my case dark.. So why isn't it working? For example i use the brave search engine search.brave.com, when i klick the settings icon it shows that by default it uses the system theme, as i said my system theme is dark but then why bravesearch using the white theme? It's not only bravesearch, same with duckduckgo search and same with youtube, all of them use the system theme, but for whatever reason everything is displayed in white theme instead of dark.

So i changed this setting in about:config but no matter which value i use (1,2,3) websites will always use system default - white theme, but infact my system theme is dark, how can i fix this? defaultPref("browser.theme.content-theme", 2);

Greetings...

Yesterday, my laptop was functioning without difficulty. Today, when I logged into Windows 10, instead of my usual profile/desktop appearing, a default profile/desktop appeared.

I performed a system restore using the most recent restore point (two days ago). The system restore completed successfully and upon restart and login, my usual profile/desktop appeared.

However, my installation of Firefox no longer completely exists. In the C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox directory, many of the files that customarily exist no longer appear, including firefox.exe.

Most certainly, I do not want to lose any of my bookmarks, open tabs, or custom settings that I have established in my Firefox over many years of use. What would be the best way for me to restore Firefox on my laptop, while preserving all of my bookmarks, open tabs, custom settings, etc?

Would a simple reinstall of Firefox accomplish this task, without my losing any of my bookmarks, open tabs, custom settings, etc? Or, is there something else that I should do?

I would sincerely appreciate your feedback regarding this problem. Thank you!

Hi there,

My name's Jack Murphy. I have a recommendation for a feature on Firefox, but I'm also building my portfolio as an entry-level software engineer.

So, the improvement Firefox needs to make is that a special character needs to be inserted in the 'randomised password' feature. It's a very useful feature, but more websites are requiring a special character alongside uppercase/lowercase letters, and numbers. For a couple of websites now I've had to add in a special character myself to the auto-generated password, and then save the result.

It would be quite an easy fix. I would love to get involved in making that fix, if the relevant part is open-source. However, as there are security considerations, it might not be....

If not it's still worth getting in touch!

All the best, Jack Murphy

p.s what other ways are there for an early-career software developer to get involved with mozilla? (UK based)

Hi community, i have a problem with OneDrive and i want to troubleshoot some possibilities.

Outlook.com, Office.com and every other website loads in Firefox. But only the OneDrive website refuses to load. I tried it in Microsoft Edge and there it loads. The service is definitly up and running.

So i have the suggestion that the exented tracking protection might be the reason for OneDrive not loading.

How can i be sure if the tracking protection is the problem? Has OneDrive so many trackers? I mean it is Microsoft, of course it has. But how would this prevent the site from loading?

Greetings ffproblems
