For over a year, my browser occasionally loses connectivity. It may work for 3 hours or 3 days, but inevitably new tabs will stop working and then slowly the others will stop as well. When this happens, none of my other browsers are impacted. They work fine. It is only Firefox. The only solution is to close everything and lose all my work.

Once I do that and restart Firefox, I receive an error message telling me I am using an older version of Firefox that is not compatible with my profile. The only solution that brings me back to the best starting place is to re-install Firefox.

My company IT spent 3 days trying to find the problem and couldn't. I have uninstalled and reinstalled so many times. All extensions are turned off, as are the two add-ons. I have been using Firefox for over a decade and prefer it to all other browsers, but I need to find a solution or I am going to have to move on. Help!!!

Hello Firefox Support Team,I am facing a persistent issue where Firefox is unable to open or connect to any Public IP addresses, resulting in a "Connection Reset" error. This issue happens simultaneously on two different operating systems: Windows and Linux (on the same network).Interestingly, the same Public IP addresses open completely fine and without any issues on Google Chrome.I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps, but none of them resolved the issue:Disabled HTTPS-Only Mode completely.Disabled Secure DNS (DNS over HTTPS).Changed Network Settings to "No Proxy".Set "security.tls.version.min" to 1 and enabled deprecated TLS.Disabled HTTP/3 and HTTP/2 in about:config.Performed a full Firefox Refresh (Safe Mode / Default Profile).Since the issue persists across different OS platforms only on Firefox, it seems to be related to how Firefox handles direct IP handshakes compared to Chromium-based browsers.Please advise on how to resolve this. I am using 140 ESR version on linux with Cloudflare's DNS over HTTPS and with DOH active for some reason resolving a domain like d3oklwo3y1bx83.cloudfront.net will resolve to local host IP 127.0.0.1.

I am using firefox about:networking#dnslookuptool to test resolution of the domain d3oklwo3y1bx83.cloudfront.net Both with DOH on and off the resolution remains local host. I tried another browser on the same workstation and I was able to receive a resolution of 13.225.193.203 13.225.193.133 13.225.193.64 13.225.193.58 Why is firefox ESR not able to resolve that domain? What are causes ?

I guess I'm hoping an engineer or someone who works on firefox can resolve this cause it's always what pushes what me away.

I'll be sick of Chrome harvesting all my data, I'll download firefox, and I'll set it up. A couple years ago I deleted my chrome profile and switched completely over to firefox. I want to say once a month, I'll open firefox and websites won't load. If they preload they'll act like they're offline.

It's happened to me on Windows machines and Mac machines.

If someone wants to seriously drill down and figure out why this happens across platforms and DECADES, I am happy to provide logs and video chat or something.

I keep getting this message at the top of each site I go to: "You must log in to this network before you can access the Internet" It thinks I'm on a captive portal?? I'm at home on my own internet network. Why am I getting this message?

I need help with a problem that has tortured me for weeks. I use debian 13 with plasmakde. I don't know why, but when I connect to a wifi after some time it doesn't work anymore ONLY with Firefox. I can perfectly use any other app which requires internet but firefox. Sometimes it gives me the error "The connection has timed out", sometimes the error "Unable to find the proxy server" (even if I selected no proxy in the network settings). I searched online but I couldn't find anything helpful, so I can only hope to find a solution in here. Thank you very much in advance!

all the sights I've used for years will not open and will not work I can't even use them any more they work fine in other browsers don't know what you did but it is almost unusable

I have a remote chap who needs this lap top to connect to net. he is installing a program for me remotely. This old computer is fine for the Toyota techstream but will not allow internet pages it has internet explorer not working

Today (7/11/26) Mozilla VPN began blocking all access to the Internet. When I turn it off, I can connect. When I turn it on, I can't. Am I the only one? So far I have:

• Reset the app
• Uninstalled all WAN network adapters and restarted (I notice for the first time that Mozilla Tunnel appears in the list after doing this)

It is interesting to note that Proton free VPN which I installed as an experiment, and ran with Mozilla VPN entirely off (system tray quit as well) also blocks all Internet traffic. So it could be one of those Windows update issues. This afternoon, all was well. I turned off my machine, turned it back on, and no browsing can happen with either VPN on.

Normally, Mozilla VPN works flawlessly, so I have no complaints--it's only a technical mystery to unravel.
