I'm trying to connect to a wpa wifi network which has a 64 hex character password but the password field in settings > wifi > (network) is only 63 characters long. I know that if I had an alphanumeric password 63 characters would be the limit so I guess it thinks I have one but i can't figure out how to tell it I have a 64 hex character password instead. Changing the password type is also not really an option.
Cannot receive photos via text messaging, says too big to receive
I can receive photos via blue tooth but when anybody sends photos via text it does not arrive or I am told that the image is too big.

I have Firefos OS 1.0.1.0-01003 and I have seen that Firefox 1.1 has been released, I try to check for updates and it says that my system is up to date. I read somewhere that rebooting the phone solves it but that didn't work.
Why my system doesn't detect the update? Do I have to call my service provider or manufacturer about that?

My Open is still running FFOS 1.0 and I want to update it. Since the 'check for updates' method keeps telling me there was a problem downloading updates I'm getting ready to try the SD card method. I've downloaded the relevant update from http://www.ztedevices.com/support/smart_phone/cba40ed6-d3ab-44c0-bdee-3a15803dc187.html and backed up my contacts using the Con Backup app from the marketplace, but I can't find a similarly easy way to back up my messages, and was hoping someone here could point me at something helpful - all I can find is https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Firefox_OS/Firefox_OS_build_prerequisites#Backup_the_phone_system_partition and (whilst my laptop runs Ubuntu as well as Windows so I could theoretically try that and probably will if there's no alternative) it's frankly way over my head, so something with a bit more hand-holding or would be immensely useful.
Other potentially relevant info: I own and thus have easy access to Windows 7 and XP, and Ubuntu 13.10, and could probably borrow laptops running WIndows 8.1 and OS X for a few hours/overnight if I asked nicely enough.

Hi again: In a previous question I asked how I could update my phone living in a country that was not supported by ZTE. It worked, but everything I had on my phone was deleted. So, since I will probably have to do this again when the next update comes along, I was just wondering if there was some way to save which app's I had on my phone. Maybe some kind of automatic download, where all of the app's that I had will be downloaded again once I update. Otherwise it will get kind of tedious every time I have to update. Cheers,

I had this feature on iOS where I can set the ringtone and notification volume then a switch that sad "Change with buttons" = true || false. My Android device (Padfone2) did not have this feature and I end up missing calls and sms because you turn the volume up and down when you browse the web, listening to music ect.
Does someone know if this is possible on my ZTE Open with FFOS 1.1?

I have 'denied' many such requests, yet there is nothing in the box (Exceptions) 'Offline Data'. Why is there nothing in the box, and/or how do I manually add a service to the 'blocked' box? For me, this is a real problem as I have spent as much as 5 minutes clicking on the little 'Deny' box in the request before it goes away and allows me to watch the video I wanted to watch (the little 'request' box sits right in the middle of the video box, blocking viewing of the video). Is this a problem with Adobe Flash Player Settings (whos 'request' box it appears to belong to) or a problem with the Firefox> Tools (Local Storage) settings? (a picture of this 'request box' available on request)

My main question is will it ever be? And can I attempt an installation anyways? Or is it absolutely unheard of for a device not on here to support Firefox OS? Because in the end, it's still Ice Cream Sandwich. The only reason it might not work is because Discovers are moderately cheap phones.

You seem to have demonstrated a flaw in our workflow.
- We do have a specific forum for questions about Firefox OS.
- We have a specific start point for information about Firefox OS

- it does however redirect to the standard Firefox forum /questions
