i have a ZTE Open C, Firefox OS

with an Orange SIM card that works well in phone call and SMS

i added an account in the Mail app

the list of received mail appears OK

when i want to load a mail it takes anything from 10 minutes to above one hour

sending one it took 12 hours without success lat night

i guess this bhahvior is not normal, what can be done

this is the situation with Wifi

using Data with the cellular network is just simply impossible, words like Port Mandataire HTTP, Hote Mandataire HTTP et Autentification (in the french GUI) seems to be almost unknown on the web

In the UK, the network 'giffgaff' runs on the O2 network and automatically sets the voicemail number to the O2 voicemail number 901 instead of the giffgaff one of 443. This is a known problem of for Android 2.x. With Android you can change the voicemail number in the settings.

How can you do this with Firefox OS?

Well it's pretty simple. On your website, it's written how to change the language to other languages. We can clearly see English (US) but also arabic, spanish, french, portuguese from Brazil and Chinese.

I bought a ZTE Open on Ebay and there's only English (US). I'd like to be able to install a french language pack. How can I do that?

GoFox F15 is recently launched Firefox Phone with Firefox OS 1.4 . I'm trying to connect device with my PC and use it for developing purposes. But unfortunately the latest App Manager does not recognize the device so I still have to use the simulator. I have followed all the instructions in the developer site. Remote debugging is enabled and lock screen is turned off. I've also downloaded driver from http://downloads.geeksphone.com/ but still the issue doesn't solve. In the Device Manager I found 'Spreadtrum' in 'Other Devices' section having missing drivers. When I use the downloaded drivers to solve the issue it doesn't help!!! I tried several ways but they all are useless. So how can I find proper driver of this phone for Windows 7 or 8 . Please help me!!

There is a toolbar feature in the lower right corner of the taskbar. I tried to set up the Links toolbar. I can drag addresses to this, but when I click them, nothing happens. What should happen is the site/page whose address I clicked should open.

How can I fix this? Is it a problem with the Firefox I'm currently using?

It appears that you can only import Contacts from a SIM card or Facebook. I'm assuming that this means you cannot import or sync Contacts from Gmail. Is this correct?

in Web app (i guess that is the right name) if i open a web mail on my email account and i tap on attachment that is not a picture or a video to download it nothing happens what am i doing wrong

strictly speaking i want to download pdf files plain text files that may have odd extension like .com .mess or no extension at all

I've just started to use a new ZTE Open C. My notifications generally make sense to me but I have two outstanding which refer to Channel 50. They just say: Channel 50

and then there's a 5 digit number below, in my case 01620 and 01362 respectively (the first one from 19h ago and the second from 1d ago).

I'm not aware of any particular problems, though the wifi receiver does seem to have a tendency to get turned off, but I'd like to know what the notifications are about. I hope someone can point me in the right direction.

I would like for Mozilla to develop a relatively high end smart phone i.e. on the level of a Samsung Galaxy S6 or iPhone 6, but also have an operating system and apps that do not track everything I do, everything I buy, where I shop, where I travel, who I send messages to, etc,etc. In other words a modern smartphone with an OS and apps that will not collect and/or sell my data for profit or just snoop on me. Can Mozilla do this, please?

Syncing or at least exchanging Firefox OS contacts/dates with desktop thunderbird addressbook / lightning ist a must have for me. Are there any possibilities?

In the FAQ there is at least a possibility to import contacts via SD-card mentioned (but not described). It is strange, that nothing can be found on this topic which I think affects many many users who do not want to "share" their contacts/dates with Facebook and Google these days. Potential Firefox OS users in particular...

What about carddav/caldav-support in Firefox OS?

I visited a website in the browser; a full screen alert asked me if I wanted to install the "app" for the website (which I don't want to do), so I clicked cancel. I would like to know how to permanently disable being asked if I want to install an app when I visit a website.

Hello, I'm trying to setup my email account on my new Alcatel One Touch Fire, but the application is blocking after I set all parameters. I only can see in the screen "Configurazione account" (Italian). I'm sure informations are exact, as I don't have problems with the mail client on my laptop, even if I connect it to the internet using the smartphone and tethering.

Parameters: pop3s.aruba.it 995 smtps.aruba.it 465

I tryed with SSL because I read somewhere that only this is supported on v1.3. I would be glad even if I can only receive emails, but it seems to be impossible because it ask me all parameters, even for SMTP...

I have upgraded my ZTE Open to 1.1.

When i check updates, there is always this error : There was an error when checking for updates.

I want to update to 1.2 or 1.3. But i don't understand this https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Firefox_OS/Developer_phone_guide/ZTE_OPEN , it's to hard !

How upgrade to 1.2 or 1.3 please ? thks

Hi i programmed the alarm to wake me at 8 am but it rang at 0:30

i reinstalled the OS Manuelly set time now it rings an 1 hour before the alarm is set. The strange thing is it rings again when the right time is reached. What can I do.

I've just installed nightly 2.0 and I can't see any cyrillic keyboards available. No Bulgarian, no Russian. The Bulgarian locale is avalable and things read in Bulgarian but keyboard not avaialble? Anybody way to fix?
