new firefox version on 01/06/2021 didn't migrate my lockwise passwords and my top sites disappeared and cannot reload them. I am not very knowledgeable about computers I tried to follow directions in troubleshooting but can't find profile info to save

Where can I find detailed information on the Lockwise product? I am looking for detailed information such as the encryption algorithm, where the data is stored, (most likely the cloud, but which one, (AWS, Rackspace, Redhat, Conical, etc), is this an opensource project,(if so which one and where is the project home page). I would like to get a better understanding of why this product is trustworthy and I would like to have sufficient information to evaluate the product. The only information that I have seen so far is a general information web page. I don't have any real faith in general suppositions when I am potentially giving someone access to everything that I have worked for, my entire life, (password, user names, web addresses, etc).

Et elle se fait désirer parce que je suis obliger de rentrer tous les liens, les identifiants et les mots de passes à la main à partir du fichier exporté, donc si quelqu'un sait pourquoi je ne peux pas importer et/ou comment l'avoir cela m'aiderai beaucoup. Merci

So the other day I accidentally deleted the Mozilla folder located in the Windows appdata. This resulted in my saved passwords being deleted from my account. I reinstalled Firefox in the hopes of recovering my saved passwords through Sync, but that does not appear to be working.

Using a document recovery application, I was able to recover the logins.json and key4.db files which is responsible for storing the passwords as far as I'm aware. I logged into my account and placed these files in their appropriate folder, however this did not bring back anything. In fact, it created new problems such as me being not able to log out from Firefox, and not being able to store new passwords.

Now when I take a look at the file logins.json through a text editor, I can see the list of websites and encrypted passwords it stored in the past. My assumption is that one or both of the files are corrupted. Is there any way that I can revert back this corruption, or fix this problem in some way? The Sync was supposedly turned on, why did it not recover my passwords after a reinstall? Did my deletion of the folder resulted in my saved passwords being deleted immediately in the server side as well?

I installed the Lockwise password manager onto my browser and onto my phone (Firefox on Android), unfortunately the master password I chose was a little too complicated to remember. I no longer have access to the password manager on windows Firefox and it pops up frequently with reminders to input the password which is really annoying now. I do however still have access on Android because I just use my fingerprint to unlock the Lockwise app.

Does anyone know a way to reset the master password? Perhaps I could do it from my phone where I’m still logged in (I don’t see the option)? Failing that, does anyone know a way to remove Lockwise from my browser, I don’t seem to have the option to do that without having the password first. I’m happy to carry on using Lockwise on just my phone if necessary but id need it either reset to use on my browser or removing.

Just to reiterate, I’ve not necessarily lost my password as I still have access to my account via mobile fingerprint, I just can’t access the browser version without the password. I do still have access to my Firefox account as normal.

Don't find the solution for my problem, so here I go :

FF version 84, Windows 10. I authorised FF to register id and passwords, enabled a general password. In the Options section concerning passwords, all cases are checked.

When I enter FF, the general password is asked before visiting a website. Ok. On the website to visit I enter id and password and enter the site. OK. When I visit the site again, I must enter id and password again .... When I go in Lockwise, no id or passwords are registered.

So I don't understand this. If anyone could help ... Thanks.

I am trying to setup my new phone and one of the first thing is to have Firefox Lockwise ready to access paswords.

The problems came when I logged in. I introduced my mail and password without problems and Lockwise said that sent a verification mail that never arrived. After some attempts Lockwise said that my account was locked because the confirmation mail was returned.

I can ensure that mail address is ok. Probably yesterday Google experiences some virus attack and the email service was unavailable.

Having said that, could you please unlock my account?? I really need it.

Can someone please tell me if Firefox Lockwise can generate secure passwords in iOS on my iphone. No amount of tinkering with my settings has helped, and then I read that Lockwise actually can't do it yet. Does this mean that if I want to use Lockwise as my password manager, I first have to create accounts on my desktop, sync to my phone, and thats how to get the password saved on my phone? I am a senior citizen with a few disabilities and cannot figure out how to sync (or copy somehow) my Firefox Lockwise to my new HP All in One with Windows 10'''' from this 8yo desktop PC Windows 7 which is really close to just not working one day soon. I thought I was doing sync right... however there is nothing else transferred to my new PC aside from this Firefox browser. I like Firefox Lockwise and without it I cannot get into anything I have a password to. I don't know what else I need to tell you.(so sorry) if you need further info I can send that. If anyone has the time and patience to help me I am very very appreciative.

here's my issue.

I've setup a PC for my grandma. After installing Firefox i wanted her to have all the same extensions and plugins i also have on my PC. So i connected to my FF account on her firefox Bowser with my credentials. All extensions/plugins synced and everything went fine. Logged out of firefox and seted up here own account by registering here with her emailadress. Unfortunately, all my passwords and usernames also remain in here Lockwise. Over 200 of them! Im looking to remove them at once instead of doin it one by one. So i did the following:

• I've deleted the cache, cookies,
• went to %APPDATA%\mozilla\firefox\profiles\ and erased both files : "logins.json" and "logins-backup.json",
• logged out and in again with her mozilla profile,

Nothing helped yet. All passwords and usernames appears again as soon as i login in with here Account again.

Is there a way to remove over 200 credentials from here Lockwise, at once?

Is there a way to add a name to a Firefox Lockwise record such as Bank of America? The problem: when you look through your list of Logins & Passwords some of the web addresses are not as identifiable as there is no related identifying factors to the website. I came across this when using the search function. I used the name of the company and nothing came up. I had to go to the login page, check the address and go through 133 records to find the address that matched. If there isn’t anything currently, or in the pipeline, can you add this in a future update? I’m sure this would be appreciated by everyone.

I was wondering if it would not be a good idea to add another field to a saved password. I was thinking of something like a extra notes field, where one could add additional info. I have got a website where I am saving my username and password, but also need to enter an additional company name field, which is not saved with the password. If I could add this info to the notes field in the lockwise password manager, then this would be perfect. Can even be limited to about 20 characters.

The "fill password" feature does not suggest a new randomly generated password on https://courses.edx.org/. This issue doesn't seem to affect any other website.

Is there maybe a way to assign a new randomly generated password through "about:logins" ?
