The passwords generated by Firefox do not have special characters by default. Is there a way to have passwords generated that do contain special characters as required by many sites?

Hi, Now that I wanted to start using Lockwise properly and let it generate passwords (never did this before so far), it doesn't do that on my macbookpro. Also when i control-click it doesnt show any options. I really don't nunderstand, ive read a lot on the forum but i cant find a solution. I recently did a fresh install of firefox 74.0.

Hi, folks! I have a Windows 10 desktop and just bought a Windows 10 laptop and have Firefox for Windows 85.0.2 (64-bit) on both. I am trying to transfer my Firefox saved logins from the desktop to the laptop. My sync settings on both machines has logins and passwords turned on but they don't sync. I'm probably misunderstanding something. I managed to export the desktop Firefox logins to a CSV file but have not found a way to import them to the laptop Firefox. I have looked and looked for the "import from file" option that is supposed to be in Lockwise but so far no luck. Any ideas? Thanks!

I had been a Firefox user for a very long time. And I used to store all my passwords in Firefox Lockwise. Everything was good until one day my computer froze while I was using Firefox. I had no other choice, but to restart my computer. After I restarted my device I found that Lost all my passwords. I tried many ways to get them back, but nothing worked. The thing that makes more confused is that all the password are still there in android Lockwise, But I could'nt sync it to my computer. I tried a lot and failed. Then I thought I will just start over and every time I wanted to login to something I would look in my phone and save it on my computer, I thought eventually I will get everything as before. But after a month same thing happened again. Still my passwords are safe on my phone, which has the same Firefox account as my computer, But my on my computer it shows "I have no passwords saved".. I tried all ways to sync my computer to my phone, Failed. I tried to change the 'login.jason.corrupt' file. Failed to work. So , what am I supposed to do to get the passwords back on my computer. Or get my android lockwise to sync with my computer. I am using Firefox on Ubuntu.

I have selected to import my passwords that I have exported from 1password as a CSV file. After I select to import, the prompt disappears and it appears as though nothing has happened. Is there any way to check the progress of the import, or was it even successful?

Hello, it is just not possible to export/import password data with Lockwise. It would be very helpfull if this feature would be implemented. 1.) export/import Lockwise data for backup/restore 2.) import password datas from other pw managers

I exported logins/passwords to a .csv file and imported each field as Text into Excel. The data includes several date/times such as Last Used Date. The Date/Times are just large numbers like I might find if they were the number of milliseconds since Jan. 1, 1970. Does anyone know what the date/time format used is? I'll ask in an Excel forum how to convert it to something more human friendly.

It is really annoying that FF tries to store any passwords. Is there any possibility to turn off Lockwise compleatly?

Unfortunately it is not possible to do this via the settings menu, because the default settings cannot be changed at all.

Hi, I've set my master password, but I forgot to save him, so I don't remember it - I know, that I can reset it using (chrome://pippki/content/resetpassword.xhtml), but my question is - this command will delete ONLY my passwords saved locally (so in my PC), or it'll delete synchronised passwords (in my Firefox account) too?

I have Lastpass which keeps stopping. I want to move to Lockwise, but I am wondering if there is a way to simply transfer all my passwords rather than doing a complete re-entry.

Will the jerk who keeps force-enabling this Firefox Lockwise thing on MY computer PLEASE STOP DOING THAT!!!!! I was traveling and needed to find a critical password and all of sudden I had this completely unfamiliar and clunky interface that didn't work. I have been just fine with Firefox password management for years and then this Lockwise thing came along from some accidental auto-update to 77.0.1 which I also need to disable. A few revs back I found the about: config page signon.management.overrideURI = <blank> which fixed the Lockwise from showing up. At this rev 77.0.1 the Firefox hackers got it back onto my computer. Obviously the directions to disable the extension won't work because they've hidden it so it doesn't show up on the extensions page.

Can anyone help me kill this Lockwise skin on top of the otherwise perfect password manager in Firefox, when they've hidden it from the extensions manager?

How can I set autosuggest login data (username & pasword) based on exact url, not only to look at the *.domain.com/*?

What do I mean: When I surf to domain.com sub1.domain.com sub2.domain.com sub1.domain.com sub1.domain.com domain.com/login1 domain.com/ADMIN/login2

on every url I get a full suggestion list of all known user accounts based on *.domain.com/*. It used to be different in the past..(i think pre-lockwise)

What I would like to see back, is when you go to the exact url like domain.com/login, only the account(s) wil be suggested that is connected to this exact url (narrow down the list), and not all from *domain.

This also might prevent the annyoing masterpassword prompt that is asked on every new firefox surfsession, even when I don't want to log in, instead only when you do want to fill in a loginform it is promted. (used to work that way)

I hope that you understand my 'problem' and hoep there is an easy setting for this.

I'd recently changed to Mozilla's VPN and decided to move my passwords & login's Firefox too, but when attempting to move it over, creating a CVS file on my desktop, but Dashlane's format wasn't acceptable to Lockwise and couldn't continue.

I'd found this article here, archived, that address this very issue, but I'm not smart enough to follow the conversation and make sense of it.

i can't import any passwords from Chrome or a .csv file everytime i got this (see attached) of course i'm connected...

and then no passwords added !

another issue, i can't creat a new password (see attached for errors)

To reproduce, unlock your AT&T Galaxy S8+ running Android 9 & have Firefox Lockwise connected to your device. Then, perform the following:

1. Open Lockwise through the app drawer
2. Try searching for a credential and hit the back button
3. Hit the back button again to exit the app
4. Witness crash of "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: NetworkCallback was already unregistered"

Also can occur during syncs, too.

I suppose I must make a mistake somewhere otherwise, lockwise is completely useless. I have Firefox portable installed on a USB key. I just have to go to Logins & Passwords and click on the eye to see the passwords. Where is the security? Is that me?
