I changed the header/footer in about:config, but the changes will not save. Every time I change them, they revert to something else. I need &T for headerleft, &PT for headerright, &U for footerleft and &D for footerright. Invariably it changes all the headers to &U, footerleft to &P, and footerright to &D. My only thought is that I haven't saved the updates properly. Please help! ~AM

Hello, I am wondering if there is any way to lock the toolbar so that it does not automatically pop up when you are in full screen mode and hover over the top area of the screen. I cannot easily play some browser games because they must be full screen and the toolbar popping up continuously interrupts the game.

To clarify, I do not want the toolbar to always be there; locking the toolbar so that it automatically shows when in full screen is not the solution I am looking for. I want the toolbar to disappear when I am in full screen and not popup when I hover over the top area of the screen.

When Firefox first runs, it works properly. All menus appear properly. At some point after use, a hour or so, all the menus stop appearing. The main menus, right click context menus, hamburger menu, all stop showing up. Even the pull-down menu on this website for "Which topic best describes your question" fails to appear, though I can select an answer by clicking on it and using he down arrow.

Hardware acceleration does not affect it. The problem occurs whether it is on or off. Nothing fixes it except shutting down and restarting Firefox, and that is only a temporary measure, as it inevitably happens again after some use. z

Updating graphics drivers does not fix it. It has been happening over the last three sets of Nvidia driver updates.

Sometimes the menus temporarily return, but soon go away again. They are gone far longer than their short returns.

When I try to open a link from an external software, in my case mostly discord, that which I click on, I get the profile manager opened, ask for which profile I should open from. If I already have the Firefox window for that profile open, I have to close the whole window and then it opens with all the tabs with a tab for the link I clicked on.

I would like to open tabs like how Chrome does, not asking for profile (yes, I know, I can just make things open on only one profile but I want to choose which one I want it to every single time without manager) and instead opens up from the profile window that I just had on.

I would like to open external links on an existing window and not close to open it.

So, ultimately, make my Firefox open link from the latest profile window I was on, and it does not require to close an existing window to open the link.

In the past when I saw an article that I wanted to email to myself, I would click on the envelop icon and it would go to “choose and application to open the mail to link” I would choose if I remember correctly Yahoo and it would open up.

Now the only choice I have if Firefox, and when I click on it nothing happens. What is the problem?

Under”Choose other Applications”, there is nothing to forward that article to me.

Please help me restore my browsing session :(

For the past several months I have been using Mozilla, and the feature to restore previous browsing session has always worked well. Even after I clear the most recent history or remove the most immediate cookies, this feature would still work e.g. after I restart my PC or just restart the browser. It would restore all the tabs I was using previously including the most recent tab I was on before the browser closed or restarted. However, this morning, I tried to clear my immediate browsing history as I usually do and the browser froze while I was in the process of clearing this immediate history (continuously displaying the pop-up window/interface for clearing history and not allowing me to do much else on the browser - I couldn't even click anything on the tab I was on, nor could I navigate to another tab and/or open a new tab; and only the close button, and maximize window button, and minimize window buttons were responding). After waiting for a while for it to start working again, I got frustrated and I closed the browser.

I then opened the browser again, but this time, it didn't restore the previous browsing session and didn't even take me to the last tab I was on.

What could have happened this time around? It has not behaved like that for this whole year.

NB: I have not done anything to the browser after opening it! I am still on the same page it landed on when I opened it (just in case).

My website main image has displayed via Firefox browsers seamlessly for years. However, recently when visiting my website via Firefox browsers the main image no longer displays.

I have cleared cache, and followed all direction provided on the mozilla support site and the image does not display. It displays via other browsers and also on tablets and mobile but again not Firefox any longer.

I use Quickbooks. I've been frustrated on mozilla with the last two characters being cut off. I can change the zoom, but that doesn't help. It didn't used to happen, but I don't know which version this started with. When I use the same product under Chrome, it doesn't happen, so it's not the product. Any way you can help me?

Hello, I'm teaching German as a foreign language - both f2f and online via Zoom. Up until recently I could call up the websites I would need for the online training, turn off the computer to save power and when I started it again the next day, all the tabs from the previous session would automatically reappear when I started Firefox. But now I cannot click the option "Open previous windows and tabs". I really don't want to completely delete this program and start from scrap because I'm scared I might lose all the bookmarks I collected for my job over the years. I keep getting a 403 error message when trying to access the British Airways website. This is the first time I have encountered this, although it is perhaps 3 years since I last flew BA. I have cleared my cache and cookies. I have also tried to access the same ba.com site using Edge - with the same error message. This suggests that the problem may lie with BA. However, they have no technical support that I can reach. So I do not know what to do next. I use Kaspersky anti-virus and Malwarebytes to screen for malware. I logged into my Firefox account on a public computer, however, when I logged off, all of my passwords, open tabs and bookmarks are still showing up on the Firefox browser on this public computer.

Nothing I have tried to remove it from this public computer has worked.

I have tried the following:

• logged off of my Firefox profile from this public computer
• unsync from this computer, sync is now off and disabled.
• Clear ALL history, including cookies, cache, active logins, search....
• Restarted this public computer several times, including a complete shut down.

And none of it has worked. Currently, when anyone opens Firefox on this public computer, all of my saved tabs will open, even though I'm logged off and unsynced. Also, if anyone goes to Firefox settings on this computer, they will be able to see ALL of my saved passwords on my Firefox account, also, even though I'm logged off and unsynced.

Please help. I need to remove my Firefox account from this public computer without deleting it off my personal laptop.

I have 2 yahoo email accounts. 1 on Chrome & "block Spam" works but on FF it does not. The same fake emails keep coming back and I can't add a screenshot to this.

We have recently enabled background updates in our organization, however I noticed that a requirement for this to work is that Firefox needs to be run with the default profile at least once after the feature is enabled. The issue we have is that not all users are actively using Firefox and therefore they are not being updated. I realize the security flaws won't be exposed if it's not in use, but management doesn't like seeing out of date browsers. Is there a way to force auto updates on all device where Firefox isn't not being used. Background updating is working for the majority of those that do use Firefox.

Also, we do have a couple of users reporting a credential prompt when updating from 119 to 119.0.1. These same users had no issues updating from 118 to 119. I have not figured out why this is happening just yet and why only for a handful of users so far. Would anyone have an idea why that is happening?

Hi, I have trouble in login. I set 2nd authentication with wrong app, and I didn't backup my recovery key. I also formatted my desktop, so I cannot find recovery key, didn't set firefox sync, and all of my device wasn't connect with my ID.

In this case, how I can recovery my ID...?

And if I cannot recovery my ID, can I delete addon that already being distributed.

I am no longer able to set Content Limit Settings to 1 (it is absent in this version of Firefox in settings). It is hogging my mem and cpu. **note: I've always followed suggestions on several Mozilla support pages. I usually do this w every update. Now it's either gone (performance) or moved. idk.

What can I do safely - with various method (a) mozilla (b) about:config (c) the things i know i don't know about ;)

I have been observing an issue since a month that- a few YouTube videos are not being played when it is opened in Firefox, whereas the same videos are working fine in other browsers. The videos are getting loaded by the time, and the captions are also visible but no picture is visible and no sound. First I thought, may be it's an issue of the AdBlocker (uBlock Origin) that is enabled in my browser, so I disabled it and tried again, but still the same problem.

So a while back I deleted (shift-delete or ctrl-delete, whichever it is) an auto-complete address from preferences. Turns out I kinda need it back and I shouldn't have deleted it... Is there a way to get that address back into the auto-complete list? I've tried adding it as a bookmark, but that didn't seem to help. Ideas? Or is it gone forever..
