Hi guys, Yesterday when I found that Firefox was updated and reinstall a new version by itself and the problem is that it deleted all old data (passwords, cookies, preferences...) and I did not find the folder "old firefox data" on my desktop. Is there a way to get back all those data please?

Many Thanks

The latest update to Firefox trashed creating Bookmarks!!!

Instead of given an option on where to file a new bookmark -- as it had for years -- it places in the last location selected and closes the dialogue box.

To fix things require Editing the Bookmark to save a new Bookmark where desired.

Update prior to this one created problems with background colors and spacing's, now another update trashes to Bookmark function...

Is someone from Google of Microsoft trashing Firefox intentionally?... or is just someone who doesn't know what they are doing or care?

How Do I Shrink Recent Bookmarks Dropdown List ? I don't NEED or WANT to see a list of ALL my "RECENT" (unorganized) bookmarks. I can't find an option to activate the "dropdown" function in either main preferences or menu customizing. If I "remove" them from the list, they are also removed from where they were saved as a bookmark. If the answer is, "This can't be done.", then I am DONE WITH FIREFOX.

Google is my default search engine but when I make a search in the address bar it gives me results from https://mybrowser-search.com/search, which is labeled as ' Google Custom Search' on the results page.

This started after updating the browser. Changing my default search engine to Bing gives me normal results on the Bing page. Changing it back had no effect on the Google outcome.

Been with Firefox a long time with no problems. Recent update of Firefox. Now cannot login to SKY a/c on FF. Only SKY, all other links on tool bar work, only SKY is access denied. Contacted SKY team, helpful, line / router all OK. No VPN active. Have deleted SKY link, cache, history, cookies etc and reinstalled - same issue. SKY login works on Edge though, or, via e-m client. Problem is solely with SKY log in and solely Firefox. SKY unable to find an issue. Message is Access Denied You don't have permission to access "http://skyid.sky.com/signin/7b613a2768747470733a2f2f7777772e736b792e636f6d2f272c623a2768747470733a2f..." on this server. Which is Error 288 Any thoughts?

Cursor jumps to toolbar address window instead of staying on the Firefox home page search bar. I prefer to use the search bar, without seeing all the urls show up in a list that changes as I type. This change occurred just a few days ago, apparently when Firefox updated. I have selected Google as the preferred search engine. (there are many other unwanted changes, but this one is the most challenging to deal with)

Since we can now give feedback on mozilla.crowdicity.com , I'm still confused how they deal with "ideas". I've submited my idea almost 3 weeks ago, it still says "Your idea is currently awaiting moderator review. Once approved, it will be visible to all users" and is still hidden. Other ideas I see that have been submitted at the same time as mine are already reviewed and published. So the only thought that comes to mind is that some ideas are just ignored on purpose without any result or feedback. Is there any way to contact moderators of that platform? Has anyone resolved such problems with their "ideas" and how?

Sometimes it's the website I'm connecting to directly, and sometimes it's embedded images hosted on another site that won't load. As I write this, I am unable to access YouTube. (Update, 2 minutes later - now I can.)

Ctrl + F5 doesn't work. Nor does clearing my cookies, cache, site preferences and logins. I tried disabling all my addons - that didn't work either.

This is a local problem, I think. The speed of the failed load is instantaneous to half a second in duration, judging by the refresh button spinning.

However, there is one solution: loading the page in a private window will actually fix the problem in my main window. Obviously, this is not a convenient solution, and I'd like to know what causes this.

Hi, Firefox version 89.0.1 (64-Bit) Windows 10 (updated)

Recently I have noticed when I want to use reCAPTCHA I get Could not connect to the reCAPTCHA service. Therefore, on Firefox help I found the answers such as renamed the cert9.db file to (cert9OLD.db) later deleted cert9OLD.db. There wasn't any cert8.db in the profile folder. Also changed Net work settings to "No Proxy" but nothing changed.

Questions is what if I want to change Net work settings as it was previously? (which I do not remember) or is it ok to keep it as No Proxy because I do not use any proxy or VPN.

Thank you.

I downloaded Firefox 89.0.1 via Microsoft Edge from the regular mozilla.org site.

I was redirected to this site after the download started: https://cdn.stubdownloader.services.mozilla.com/builds/firefox-stub/de/win/[...]/Firefox%20Installer.exe

I was confused when I saw, that the sha256 checksum mismatched with the one in the repository. Also after multiply downloads from the mentioned site, I recognized all installation files had different checksums.

Is this a bug or a malicious firefox download? Or smth else?

Thanks in advance.
