Firefox has been an excellent browser on my new S22; however, I've observed a notable decline in my battery percentage lately. It seems to be dropping rapidly, and each time I check, it's lower. This is confirmed by the battery settings menu, which displays an unusually high amount of usage, even though I primarily use Firefox for general browsing and make sure to close background tabs. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue or found a solution in iphone? Any insights would be appreciated.

Hi, I'm using a Samsung phone which lets you switch screen resolution dynamically (FHD, QHD etc.). It seems that Firefox doesn't respect those resolution changes until you force stop and restart the browser.

Example: set screen res. to FHD then launch Firefox. Everything looks great. After I increase screen res., website text becomes much smaller, as if Firefox rendered the website for the old resolution. After I force stop and relaunch Firefox, everything looks fine again.

Device: S23 Ultra Android 14 One UI 6 Firefox: 122.0 (Build #2015998391), b49c4f2380+ GV: 122.0-20240118164516 AS: 122.0.1

Kind regards, Kacper

I'm trying to go to the URL "http://192.168.31.8:32004". Instead it searches, which of course has no hits. I'm baffled as to why Firefox would search when the address bar contains a valid URL. And no, I'm not hitting the search button. I hitting on-screen keyboard's right arrow, which is my only other choice. I have tried turning off all address bar options in settings with no effect.

The only solution I have found is to use a different browser. Chrome has no problem going to this URL when asked.

Hello there,

I'm using the browser mainly to watch charts on dexscreener or dextools. As you can see in the attached documents, on opera it behaves as it should. On Mull however, there's nothing you can read. I deleted any kind of addon even tried switching multiple settings in about:config regarding JavaScript .nothing helped. Reinstalled the app,the issue is still there. Any clue what can be done or should I use a different browser for this cause? Will it act the same way for most of the websites with similar requirements? In case it will,I would need to get rid of it. Thanks for the help

On Nintendo website, I would like to setup a passkey. When logged into nintendo.com, in settings, under passkeys, I see the following message "You can't use a passkey to sign in from this device". I can add a passkey using the same device in chrome. Device is Pixel 7 Pro. Firefox version 121.1.0 (Build #2015996455) can Firefox allow for me to create a passkey using 1password or hardware key? Is there a setting that needs to be enabled?

Regular blank pages (often with Discourse fora)

I reported the problem here: https://forum.fairphone.com/t/regular-blank-pages-when-trying-to-load-discourse-forums-in-firefox-android/95025 https://bugzilla.mozill… (read more)

I reported the problem here:

Basically what happens is that pages don't load and hangs on a blank page. This happens most often with Discourse websites, but also happens with other websites from time to time. I have uBlock Origin and Privacy Badger installed. But also by disabling that the problem occurs. Currently I'm using version 121.1, but it's happening for more than a year now.

A temporary fix is to kill Firefox repeatedly until it loads the website again.

Hello,

I am using the AdGuard App on all android devices.

This blocks ads in all the apps on your device and also acts as a sort of systemwide firewall, DNS server and it blocks ads INSIDE other Apps.

HOWEVER, From all known browsers on the same device ONLY FIREFOX will NOT work at all.

It keeps saying "Website blocked - Insecure Connection" And you simply can't open any website, whatever change you make to the settings. The URL address line shows a crossed lock symbol, although "HTTPS enforcement" is OFF

ONLY SOLUTION seems to be to Disable the Adguard App Protection completely or - possibly - indicate to the AdGuard App to add Firefox to a list of unmonitored Apps (like a whitelist for Android Apps)...

Later on, you can add the normal browser addon of AdGuard or any other adblocker.

STILL I'm asking myself why only Firefox behaves this way, when the AdGuard App wants to monitor the entire Firefox App?? The purpose of which honestly is to make sure any Android App is not leaking or sending data...

QUESTION It would be safer to allow the Firefox App to be "audited" or monitored, since more and more SECURITY APPS are also keeping tabs on all the installed apps and monitor their behaviour.

FYI ESET Android Security for example, explicitly states that Firefox is one of 3 browsers it CAN monitor.

Hope you can communicate with the AdGuard App devs if there is a solution. or if this is an unlucky fluke due to the myriad of combinations of possible phones, Android Versions and personal setups...

Thanks for the help or any commit later on for future releases.

Have a nice day and hope this might intrest some people  :-)
