I have Updates set to "Check for updates but let you choose to install them" - but several times recently Firefox has blocked me from opening new windows with:

"Restart to Keep Using Firefox An update to Firefox started in the background. You'll need to restart to finish the update. Your windows and tabs will be quickly restored, but private ones will not."

Why is Firefox starting to install updates WITHOUT my consent?

And how do I stop Firefox from doing this?

As I mentioned I can't seem to access my network folders. I only have this issue in this machine but I have my account on 3 different machines on the network with no issues. All have the same extensions and settings.

Please help me to open Thunderbird. All of my critical communication is there. Ecentral.com is my email. Thunderbird has not responded since a Windows update on 01/20/26. Should I uninstall that update?
