I am getting Firefox on my tablet so I can use a Portable device. You are on my desktop as advised by my son. He years ago advised me to learn email. To do so meant a non credit class at the local university. It is now many years later and I a retired nurse seeks his advise for all computer related things. Email for communication has been very important as my family is in Saskatchewan, Alberta and BC. In the past I did travel out of Canada but did keep my family aware of my movement and did book my own transportation, accomodation etc. Email allows this. I felt secure using Firefox to do this. My firefox browser crashed last week. An IT expert uninstalled it and re-installed it and it is working ok. But when I try to buy goods online my stored card is being rejected but I don't know why. Can you help please?

Running the latest Firefox iteration on Mac, OS Sequoia 15.5. After the last recent update my bookmarks have vanished. I can only find a very outdated set related to an old profile (going back at least two years). There are no files anywhere in the library when I tried to follow instructions for restoration (most of which apply to Windows), and I can't find any backups. Is there a way of accessing and restoring the most recent backups or the original file in this situation?

NB is it possible that the update overwrote my profile with a new one? -- snapshot of the profiles on file attached. bit9ck45.default-release is the current profile; the other is the very outdated one.

I recently saw Mozilla announce that the Pocket service will be discontinued on July 8, 2025, entering an export-only mode, with user data permanently deleted after October 8, 2025.

I’m very concerned about its future. The shutdown of Pocket really hit hard, and it makes me worry: could Thunderbird face a similar fate? Especially now that Mozilla seems to be focusing its efforts more on Firefox and AI browser development, I’d like to ask the community and official team a few questions:

1. What is the current organizational structure around Thunderbird’s development and maintenance? I understand that since 2020, Thunderbird has been placed under MZLA Technologies—an independent, wholly‑owned subsidiary of the Mozilla Foundation—and is managed by the Thunderbird Council. Does this mean Thunderbird operates under a fundamentally different model from Pocket?

2. Is there any possibility of Thunderbird being discontinued, divested, or “down‑scaled” in the future? Does Mozilla have any plans to shrink Thunderbird or shift strategy in a way similar to Pocket?

3. What is Thunderbird’s planned roadmap and how are resources being allocated? From what I’ve seen, Thunderbird is undergoing UI redevelopment (Supernova), monthly releases, mobile client initiatives, and new Pro services like Thundermail, Appointment, and Send. Does this reflect Mozilla’s confidence in its future?

4. How can users and community members show support or express concerns? If we want to help ensure Thunderbird’s continued health and growth, what steps can we take to encourage Mozilla to allocate more resources?

I have spent the past month trying to get things done on the web and on every site I have encountered something that failed to work properly. In your case the "Mark It As Solved" button on you emails doesn't work. So even though my issues were resolved (Not by your help), I can't tell you that.

Add on difrent type of chat ai to help the user in each section that they looking to get help from. It could be wrighting an email to plan a holiday or shooping trip to little drive after dinner ext
