Hi there,

I recently received notice of being a part of the one billionth data breach and I am officially sick of it. I love and use firefox and beta, but I know my privacy is not that protected. I was looking through reviews and found Waterfox which is supposed to be built on the firefox platform, but has better privacy protections. I downloaded it and all seemed right. I imported from Firefox. Then I tried to download it to my iphone and the only thing that came up was "Water Fox". I downloaded it and couldn't even get through opening it without crazy ads and it looking like some game app. It wanted my saved data from firefox to import. But, no way. Either this was pretending to be WaterFox and a scam, or WaterFox IS a scam. So, I'm hoping maybe someone here would know and would also know if I just made a huge mistake by installing this. If it were just an app pretending to be WaterFox, why wasn't there an actual waterfox app? That was the only one even close. And, the reviews said that WaterFox was students working with Firefox or something like that, but couldn't find anything about them in Firefox forums. Any info would be greatly appreciated. And, if I did just make a huge mistake, is there a way to fix it? I didn't sign in with the squirrely iphone app, but I did with the desktop. Eeeep.

I keep receiving a popup seeming to be from McAfee security regarding a virus on my computer. It isn't from that security firm. The ad locks my system till I shut off and restart my computer. This is very annoying and occurs on all installed browsers. Is there anything I can do about this annoying thing?

It say my phone is comerpiced whith virsies i have tryed to clean my phone but i dont understand a lot of the meening i am 71 yrs old i never used thephone only to look at some adds

Just wanted to add my voice to the complaints about further AI being added to firefox. Firefox as a browser is a refuge from the enshittification of the internet as a whole, with it being one of the few non-chromium browser options, please dont join in the effort to force AI on everyone. At the very least it shouldnt take multiple options to disable AI in my browser. But at best I would love to see firefox development focused on performance rather than more AI bullshit that only CEO's want.

I use the email address [email 2 removed]@interia.pl. The account is configured in Thunderbird on a Lenovo laptop. The laptop is protected by ESET Smart Security antivirus software. As recommended by Eset, I added ESET VPN to my protection. After enabling ESET VPN, the address doesn't configure. It requests a password. I receive messages that the server is disconnecting. Other addresses work. Disabling ESET VPN causes the address to work. This problem doesn't occur on my other Outlook email client. I would appreciate your help in resolving this issue. After some troubleshooting simply adding a bookmarks for a webpage, the fault appears to be with the Firefox browser. I thought I was doing something wrong, however after further research, the final variable appears to be Firefox.

Phone: iPhone 11 iOS 18.5 Firefox app: Firefox 141.2 (59350)

Here's what I'm doing: Phone -> Firefox app -> 3 horizontal dots (bottom right) -> Add (top right.

I then check for the added bookmark, but find no new bookmark in: Phone -> Firefox app -> 3 horizontal dots (bottom right) -> Bookmarks (top left) -> Star tab is selected by default -> Desktop Bookmarks -> Unsorted Bookmarks -> This folder is empty Bookmarks Toolbar -> my bookmarks which are synced with the desktop Bookmarks Menu -> Bookmarks -> This folder is empty

I don't know if it's the right topic (well I guess all are very near the main issue) but I will give it a go - what's wrong with NOT HAVING AI driven browser? I was advocating for you guys for many years, using your browser and supporting your stuff because of the privacy and totally diff approach to browsing case. Yet here we are and you absolutely obliterated your own image in my eyes... AI? For real? Without a QUESTION AT START TO KILL IT IMMEDIATELY IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE THIS NONSENSE?

I am very sad, because I have already found an alternative and I will be saying good bye to you. It's... Been a long time, I have never betrayed you yet you... Nevermind, it's just sad that I have to go to other solutions because you can't keep your legs together...

I don't expect to get any response from you, I just wanted to share my sad thoughts and a fact that not only me but a massive amount of my dev friends have already staredt using other browsers (there are things that work better in other browsers) to make things done.

Nevertheless it was a good time. I wish you all Merry Christmas and we will remember you for a long time for so many good things.
