Two emails arrive, and the badge displaying "2" appears on the taskbar icon for T-bird V. 115, POP, on a Windows 11 computer. There are no other unread emails. One email is read, and the 2 remains, instead of decrementing to 1. Then the second unread email is read, and the "2" still remains. The only way to get rid of the "2", which is now a false reading, is to close and reopen T-bird. Is there any reason, other than a bug, for the badge on the T-bird icon to be entirely unresponsive to reading all the remaining emails in the list? Are any Win 11 settings relevant for this issue area? [T-bird was downloaded yesterday, so up to date.]

Thunderbird 115.12.2 (64-bit) on Windows 11:

For some time I've had a simple filter that moves anything from a sender not in my address book to a "Limbo" folder. I can then review Limbo and re-file anything I want to keep.

This seemed to work well for a while. But recently, when Thunderbird syncs with the IMAP server, it re-downloads all the re-filed messages and apparently considers them new. The filter runs again, and despite nothing being in the Inbox everything I had re-filed ends up back in Limbo.

I don't know what to think:

• Did a Thunderbird update change its behavior?
• Did something change on the IMAP server I'm connecting to?
• Is this by design, and my filter setup should never have worked to begin with..?

Hi, my pc (I think the ssd/os) just quit on me, is there a way for me to build a new system (reformat) onto a new drive and either using the old drive (if accessable) or "the cloud" recover all my old tabs from that pc onto the new one? I had a list of tabs saved, but it hasn't been updated in a couple months (yes, I have a lot and can't remember them all).

I'm hopeing it's as simple as putting the old drive as a secondary drive and copying the "appdata" folder or something to the new pc.

System: windows 7 (yeah, I don't want to give it up) on evga mobo with i7-x990 cpu and maxed out ram. Samsung ssd (2.5"). Most all "personal data" is stored and accessed from my nas, just don't know how to do that for the tab hostory.

when I try to sign in it says can't find my email address I'm using my correct email address I'm trying to locate my download library can you help me thanks marc stewart

How do I send emails using outlook? I tried using the Oauth2 and also closing and relogging into the account. Nothing seems to work.

I can receive emails but cannot send. See attached images.

Hello, after exporting the mail, the ZIP file weighs over 40 GB. How to restore all emails from this file to new mail? When extracting a 7zip file, various errors pop up with this archive

After years of using Thunderbird, today I received the attached error message. I am sending an email to another address within our company? eg, @doulton.ca

My firefox webbrowser used to update almost every time a signed in. It has not let me know it has updated lately. The last few days we are getting constant popups whenever we go online in Mozilla Firefox. Each of them has your logo & gives increasing warnings about a virus asking me to click on a link - We can either x out or click ignore, but have to do it 5 or 6 times.. over & over. I cannot snip it or print screen it as it disappears or just tries to copy the blank background.

I do NOT want to click on these links as it may well download a virus rather than remove it. What do I do? If updating Firefox will help, how do I do it?

I got an extension called BTRoblox and after installing it made most icons black and white. I uninstalled it and nothing changed, I tried changing my theme, restarting the browser, going in incognito tabs, and nothing has worked. I can't figure out for the life of me what this extension did to break Firefox.

I have been looking for a while but unable to see if this is possible or if there are any addons that can help

I use the tagging feature and have my tags shown at the top. However, I am prone to forgetting that email have been tagged as at a glance it is not really possible to tell if there are any tagged emails in the folder

Is there a way to set a "count" next to each tag so that I can tell if there is still emails requiring attention? If not, is this something that has been looked at?

I copied the smtp settings from before, but they have stopped working. I was hotmail, then live.com, and then outlook. I really don't know what to do.

Firefox, specifically the Windows version, has started generating PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR errors on https:// web sites. What I find interesting is that Firefox says the page is not secure in the address bar - even though the page is secure. Firefox on Mac and IOS do not have this issue. I'm also running Bitdefender Anti-virus with Encrypted Web scan. With that feature turned off, blocked pages seem to work. I found yesterday that logging out of Sync while Encrypted Web scan is on allowed the blocked pages to load.

I deleted Firefox and re-installed it, thinking I'd fixed the problem. No such luck. I've tried all the other fixes I can find but none of them work. This is clearly a Firefox issue and not an issue with Bit Defender since it only occurs (and has been widely reported for years) with Firefox for Windows.

On a side note, even support.mozilla.org gets blocked.

Anyone have a real fix that will work?

Hi Thanks for providing this service. i have set up TB on new computer. i have followed the guide to transfer profile and local folder to new computer. I was expecting all the mailbox folders that I have saved emails etc. would have been transferred during that process. Please help with a step by step process to transfer these folders. Thank you john

Every website has safesearch or the website itself is blocked. It seems to be acting like its got parental controls on. I am the owner of this house, no apartment or work or public internet connection here its my own private internet. My other browsers aren't giving this problem so its a firefox exclusive issue.
