Happened a few days ago - up till then no problems for years! Checked the net for advice. Did the Tools; Settings; Privacy and Security; Saved Passwords tab proceedure and displayed small window headed "Saved Logins"; then clicked on the "Show Passwords" tab to see if the password manager had the one I used still stored. Unfortunately then up pops a window asking for me to enter my username and PASSWORD - the latter I am trying to ascertain so am just going round in circles! Any ideas, please. Hope I have described things understandably. Maurice Johnson

Is there an option to save the sender's address into the address book automatically when replying to an email? Where is it? I think I need to turn it off!!

I have been having enormous trouble with emails from a group of people who use the same 'noreply' return address. It seems that the name of one of these people was inserted into my address book together with the 'noreply' email address. Every email received from the group over the recent past has been overwritten by that name as being the sender.

I don't know if, at some time in the past, I (accidentally?) hit the reply button triggering an update to the address book - or what else could have happened.

I found the record concerned in the address book and deleted it, which has stopped the problem. But I need to stop the problem recurring.

I've spent days trying to sort this out and am now totally confused so I do hope my explanation above is clear. Please point me in the right direction for a solution

I have three email accounts on my computer, one IMAP and two POP. I need to move these accounts to a new Windows 11 computer. I want all of the accounts on the new computer to be IMAP. So I have two POP accounts containing messages that I need to move to IMAP accounts on my new computer.

When I open the profile folder on my current computer it has a MAIL folder and a ImapMail folder. The MAIL folder contains a Local Folder and a pop.1and1.com folder. Each of these subfolders contains the Inbox, Sent, Trash etc. folders that contain the email messages to be moved to the new computer.

I see lots of information on moving the profile but that doesn't address the POP to IMAP conversion issue or the fact there are three different accounts involved.

Witajcie, Mam taki problem z odebranymi wiadomościami w Thunderbird 128.9.2esr (64 bits). Thunderbid z niewiadomych przyczyn losowo miesza treść odebranych wiadomości i przyporządkowuje je do innych wiadomości. W załączniku przesyłam print screen jak to wygląda. Jak widać odebrałem wiadomość z adresu: j.cichecka@.......pl o tytule Faktura VAT - sprzedaży nr. 7/03/2025/WYN. Po podświetleniu tej wiadomości w treści maila poniżej widzę niewłaściwą treść z innego maila od T-Mobile otrzymanego z adresu twoja_f@.......pl natomiast tytuł maila jest z wiadomości otrzymanej z adresu j.cichecka@.......pl (taki jak widać w liście Tematów wyżej). W ten sposób ginie mi mnóstwo wiadomości, których treści nie mogę odczytać bo znajduje się tam treść maili z innych wiadomości. Czy ktoś spotkał się z podobnym problemem i zna rozwiązanie jak to naprawić? Dziękuję Pozdrawiam Marcin

My email has started highlighting my IMAP having reached a maximum number and advising to 'do something advanced' Being a big thicky in such matters can anyone help please. I am not on gmail my address is dranreb@dranreb.karoo.co.uk and everything I delete disapears and not into my trash. Should I contact my local provider KCOM? Thank you Bernard PS not sure how I would look up an answer on the 'thread' if informed that there was one there.

I exported my profile to an external drive, then reset my Windows 11 PC. The resulting file is a zip file. When I import, the import starts, then stalls and gives an error. The error log is incomprehensible to me. How can I not lose my local folders and messages? I tried unzipping and importing that folder, but another error. I need help! Ideas? Thanks.

I have had an issue for quite some time now where I cannot set any details on my email addresses from the Account Settings screen on my Thunderbird install.

This has been an issue for quite some time I believe. The significance of the issue is that I cannot change SMTP servers because not only is the setting blank but when I select another SMTP it returns to default every time.

128.9.0esr (64-bit)

Please help! I am having to use a secondary email address for some of my clients because I cannot set up an SMTP server for them.

Hi. I opened up thunderbird and I've got no messages in my Inbox. My other folders have stored and other messages. I can't see any of my inbox in the trash, junk etc. Don't know where they have disappeared to. I just sent a test message to my email and it appears to be working. I'm just missing my inbox saved messages. Any help appreciated.

Hi ! so i need some help ... i cant find a way to set up a Hotmail account on Thunderbird a have an error message "authenticated but not connected..." i tried ipv6 disabled .. nothing .. deleted password and account and tried again same thing ... it doesn't show the pop window that says ( would you like to let Thunderbird access your email " it just goes to create the inbox file and get the error message authenticated but not connected ... sorry for the incorrect grammar but i am over my head the last 3 hours .. i need help ...

I used to be able to right click on the top line item of received email without opening it, and then left click on the bottom of several line items and block them in to delete them. Now I can only get that result by left clicking the top line item and opening it before clicking on the bottom line item. Many times I do not want to open junk emails that appear in the spam area. Am I missing something or is there a setting that will allow me to do that again?
