I use TB, Win 7, and my ISP is Cox Cable. I removed the passward from my Email Account using the path Junk Settings > Global Junk Preferences > Security > Passwords > Saved Passwords > and Removed All. But TB still ask me for a PW when I open it and I enter my previously used password. Only then can I see my email. So why is TB still asking for the password I thought I had deleted? I've included Troubleshooting Info, all the data above Important Modified Preferences.

64 bit Windows 10 Home addition, Thunderbird - Ver. 52.5.2 (x86 en-US) updated 01/05/18, Firefox v- Ver. 57.0 (x64 en-US) -system shows Firefox last updated 11/15/17. My PC has been wanting me to update Firefox, but I was telling it to remind me later for the last 2 or 3 weeks. I shut my PC down. 5 days later I turn my PC on, waited for it to boot, then started Thunderbird which automatically downloaded my last 5 days worth of emails from the server. My PC then froze. Eventually I powered down my PC and turned it back on. After it rebooted it asked me to sign in to Firefox to sync my devices. (I am assuming that it Firefox updated without my approval but it still shows the last update as 11/15/17.) After it completed the sync I opened Thunderbird again and found the last 5 days of emails were not in my inbox and Thunderbird will not download them again. It is downloading new emails when i receive them but not the ones it downloaded just before the freeze. Thunderbird is set to leave messages on server for at most 15 days and until I delete them. My question is how do I get Thunderbird to download the last 5 days worth of emails again without affecting all my other emails and without duplicating emails that were previously downloaded?

For the last week whenever I open Mozilla ThunderbirdI get a problem with script running, then this: Script: chrome://calendar/content/calendar-month-view.xml:990

I don't use Chrome and don't know why this is interfering with opening the program. I have been clicking on 'stop script' twice to enable the program to run properly. How do I correct this?

I can sign into Outlook via Firefox. Thunderbird regularly downloads messages from there. When I try to send, I get a Server Not Found error or sometimes Unable to find server. I have deleted the outgoing server and reinstalled it. I have checked all the settings and have never found an error. This is a new problem (a few months old), and it previously worked well. I am running Ubuntu 12. Accounts at Yahoo and gmail work well. I am using Thunderbird 12.5. I have also added another entry for this server but it does not work either.

How do I set the delete period for junk and spam mail in Thunderbird? I want to keep emails I have decided are junk for only a few days. Just long enough for me to decide that they ae junk.

I use Firefox as my default browser and Thunderbird for my e-mail. I received an e-mail with 3 links in it. The 1st link opens in Firefox but when I attempt to open the next link I get a message "Firefox is already running, but not responding. The old Firefox must be closed to open a new window." I changed my default browser to Microsoft Edge and the 3 links opened into 3 separate windows. I have tried adding a profile and uninstalling FF and reinstalling (getting a new profile). Same problem. I am able to open multiple links/tabs on FF but not via Thunderbird e-mail. I am running Win 10.

I am filling in my profile haveing just downloaded Thunderbird mail system and one question is enter your URL and I can not think for the life of me what it is. URL

I click on Thunderbird icon and Thunderbird starts but 2seconds later it turns off. Also I get a pop up that says Thunderbird is already running and I must close it down before I restart it. How do I shut it down?

I use Windows 7 Pro with Mozilla email client 45.20.

I have been unable to connect to my outlook IMAP server Checked setting and port number OK Password is correct I turned off antivirus and firewall restored puter to a earlier time (assumed maybe a windows update was the issue.)

Checked other computers using same outlook IMAP server to see if it was an Microsoft issue and internet connection(they are able to log in)

really I am buffaloed don't know what else to try BTW can send email and get log in using Chrome...
