My Firefox app is updated to the latest version available (154.0.1 Build #2016180583). In multiple places over the past couple of months, I've seen Mozilla advertising Tab Groups for the Android Firefox app, but I still have not gotten this functionality. Right now on the Google Play Store page, there is a section that says "Major update" for "Tab groups. It's like therapy for your tabs." However, there is no new update available for me to select because it's already updated to the most recent version. How do I get the tab groups functionality? I've seen some mentions of this possibly being a phased roll out, but if that's the case, why is it be broadly advertised without any indication that it's not actually available to everyone yet?

I'd like to report an issue with a recent Firefox update.

Since one of the latest updates, the "Close all duplicate tabs" option has disappeared from the tab list menu (the menu opened via the small arrow on the right side of the tab bar). I've looked for it elsewhere in the UI and haven't been able to find it.

System info:

Firefox version: 154.0 (64-bit) Operating system: Windows 10 Professional, version 22H2 (OS build 19045.7663)

This feature is particularly important to me because I regularly keep a very large number of tabs open — often several hundred, sometimes over a thousand — and being able to close all duplicates at once was essential for managing and cleaning that up.

A couple of things make me think this may be an unintentional regression rather than a deliberate change: Mozilla's own support article on the Tab overview menu still lists "Close all duplicate tabs" as part of this exact menu, and I couldn't find any mention of its removal in the release notes for the two most recent versions (153.0.3 and 154.0). That said, I haven't found an existing bug report that matches this, so I wanted to check here first.

I'd really appreciate help with the following:

Why has this option disappeared from the tab list menu? Is this an intentional change, or a bug/regression? Has the feature simply moved somewhere else in the UI? If it's a bug, is there already a tracked report I should follow, or should I file one?

Hyperlinks keep opening in new windows, not in the same/existing window where they were selected. Issue is not unique to Google Search results and occurring across multiple websites. At wits end trying to figure this one out. I have deselected the "Open links in tabs instead of new windows", turned off all extensions, and uninstalled & reinstalled Firefox. Issue is still occurring. Attached is image of my tab selections showing all turned off.

I thought tab groups should be available by now on android, why am I still unable to use them? I can't drag and drop (tried to no avail), there are no settings I can toggle and I'm really getting frustrated. I use the most recent version from the Play Store, and my phone is on Android 16, so "Software too old" can't be the case...

I had several tab groups. I open and save and close them every day. but since yesterdayI cant find them at all. If I create a new tab group it appears but those old tab groups not! I've tested troubleshooting mode but noting.  

Firefox 154.0 (aarch64), macOS 26.6.2.

When opening a new tab either by a link to another site or entering a url iOS Firefox reverts to another open tab while also opening the new site. This requires manual switching to the new url. Perhaps there is a switch I can change to have it go to the target url. Thanks for any guidance.

I got a big announcement pop-up on Firefox desktop that support for mobile tab groups was added in 153 - https://www.firefox.com/en-CA/firefox/android/153.0/releasenotes/. I'm currently on 153.0.2 (Build #2016175759), and have no tab group feature.

Looking at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/tab-groups-firefox-android, none of these features are visible for me. Nothing in my tab area mentions groups, the section at the top (private/normal/other devices) doesn't have a "groups" section, and I can't drag tabs onto other tabs to create groups.

My only installed add-on is uBlock Origin. Is there any reason this feature isn't available for me?

On Firefox I have repeatedly pinned four tabs for websites that I use frequently. The pinned tabs disappear at unpredictable times, not necessarily when I re-open Firefox.

After today (Sep. 2, 2026)'s update, I noticed that the the plus "+" button for new tab is canceled. Instead, I have to now click right on the work function and click "New Tab" for a new tab. This revision is quite counter-intuitive. Could you please add back the plus "+" button for new tab in the next update?

Since yesterday, some of my tab groups don't fully collapse when the group tab is clicked. Instead, one tab in the group remains fully expanded, followed by a number indicating how many other tabs are in the group. A screen shot is attached.

Since I enabled tab groups some weeks ago, tab groups have behaved as expected. When the group header is clicked, the tabs in the group spread out to be visible and clickable. When the header is clicked again, all tabs in the group collapse entirely behind the header tab.

Most of my tab groups are still behaving this way. But new groups are now displaying one full tab plus the number, no matter how many other tabs or tab groups are already occupying the window.

Since the behavior is inconsistent, it doesn't seem to be a setting. Is there any fix?

According to the "View recent browsing across windows and devices" command:

"Window 2 is current" and there is "Window 1" (which contains recent work)

My question(s):

How can I switch from window 2 (current) to window 1 (recent work)? and/or How can I combine both windows?

Firefox has a feature where, if you select a tab and drag your cursor downwards while still pressing down on it, it will open that tab in a new window. Is there any way to disable this? I am frequently opening tabs in new windows when I'm just trying to view them and it drives me mad. I never use this feature intentionally- I am constantly using on accident due to quickly moving my cursor away from the tab bar to view the tab I just opened. Thank you.

There are many tabs open in the firefox window. I'm closing the firefox. I'm opening it again.All tabs opened during the previous opening disappear.Either a new page or a single tab opens. The settings are set to "Open previous windows and tabs" (Image 1)

I go to "Firefox View" ---"Open tabs". (image 2) I see 2-5 windows there.In this case, there are 3 windows.WINDOW 1 is my main window with the tabs that should have been saved and opened when firefox was launched again. I close all tabs from unnecessary windows with a cross.Only window 1 remains. But when restarting, an empty or different window opens again.And again, there are a lot of unnecessary and incomprehensible windows on the list. Previously, a window with restored tabs from the previous session always opened. OK - this keep happening on my firefox browser on my macbook laptop. I have a default firefox browser open with my 13 default tabs. Now when I have some app, like today specifically, the app for my voice caddy golf app. I open the app, do the update, and if I select any link that opens the voice caddy website, it opens it in a new firefox browser and tab, NOT a tab in my existing firefox with my 13 default tabs. So my default firefox gets trashed. In my firefox settings, I told firefox to open any new tabs in tabs, NOT pages. I also have open the last tabs open where I left off when I close firefox. What a pain. Tried several things to no avail. Why doesn't firefox have a setting (or the current setting do as I told it - open new websites in a new TAB, NOT a new browser.

Is there an option to view the text for the pinned tab? Or add a custom text for them? This is because i would have multiple pinned tabs with the same icon.
