Hi Everyone

My Question is if I create a new profile using the about:profiles page and switch to a new profile Will I keep the tabs in my old profile if I switch back to it? And will each profile keep it's own tabs I have many tabs open that I don't want to lose

I have been using Simple Tab Groups (STG) for a long time now. I am curious if putting tabs into groups saves any resources, i.e. is only the open group using resources (CUP/RAM), or is STG purely organizational in that all the tabs still use the same amount of resources as if they weren't grouped? If it is the latter, do you know of an add-on that would save resources? Thanks

Ok, I've resolved this in the past, several version of Firefox ago, under windows. Firefox crashes silently, open it again and no tabs are restored. Open firefox again and look in recently closed windows and the one with my tabs is not there, only little utility windows that are popped up when I log in at the coffee shop, so my recently closed windows are overwritten with windows with no tabs.

So I go to my profile sessionstore-backups folder and copy it to the desktop. I have 6 files, previous.jsonlz4, recovery.baklz4, and recovery.jsonlz4 at around 8 megs in size. I copied each to the folder one level up and renamed them sessionstore.jsonlz4, and each time restarted firefox. All that opens is a blank tabbed firefox window.

There was never an existing sessionstore.jsonlz4 file anywhere I could find, even with firefox closed, this file never appears anywhere I could find it. Searching files with Windows was also unsuccessful.

I feel like I have captured the files with my tabs, based on the date modified, several were from before the crash. Why can't I find a working tutorial on how to restore my tabs? Nothing I've found on the support site works though I follow the directions exactly.

On my Mac (High Sierra), I can't make Tab font larger even after using jscher's great fix using about:config and devp. It worked beautifully on Linux Mint (Firefox 103) but not on Mac with Firefox 115. Will be 80 in July. Want to fix this soon . . . ha!

I open a new tab (link from email or a other page usually). I read the bloody thing. I click the number of open tabs to display all open. I close the tab with the x. It goes away (closes). It gives me the option to undo. I wait until that goes away. I wait few more seconds and swipe down on the "open tabs" frame. It closes and the number says 7. It agrees with what I see open, and the visible content is from tab #7 I wait 5 minutes. I close Firefox and wait 5-10 minutes. I open Firefox... I'm up to 22 now. This has been going on for about a week (at least) now.

In the past before this started happening, occasionally if I was moving too fast it would happen, so I would go slower (I thought cache) and it would work. Now, it's ridiculous.

NOTE : there are 7 tabs I want to keep open for now... I've been trying to close all the rest for some time now!

I use to be able to work on one app/window and hover over multiple tabs to obtain brief details on the browser (tabs) as it sits behind the app/window I'm currently working on. Since about a week ago, this feature has gone away. Now I have to be on the browser to be able to hover over the tabs to obtain the info I need on the tabs. I do this to compare the order # that displays on the tabs for what I use it for. How do I get this feature back. I want to be able to hover over tabs to view the small details even when not currently on the browser itself. Please help.

i'll try and describe the issue the best i can, sometimes when you have multiple tabs i've noticed the last tab open or which is the lastest tab will sometimes die.

Let's say you open YouTube in a tab and you leave it to go to Google in another tab when you go back to the YouTube tab it will show YouTube in the url but the page will be blank. If you go back to the Google tab it shows Google you can move around the google site but you cant use it. You can try and reload the page but nothing happens you can re enter Youtube in the address bar or any site but nothing happens the tab is essentially unusable.

For instance in the screen shot i posted the comicbook .com tab "died" and when i switch to the Entertainment earth tab it says Comicbook .com i can't enter in a new URL you just get a infinte loading bar that never loads. if i hit reload you again get a infinte loading bar or sometimes it just goes blank.

This has been happening for awhile and has happened on multiple devices this isn't a single instance on one device.

How to access inactive tabs in Firefox for Android? In options I have set to never close tabs but an option for inactive tabs was set to 2 weeks. So I assumed that there is somewhere a list of inactive tabs that you can access and activate them.

Please help me to stop this tab hibernation, I'm literally been miserable because of it, can't do any important things.

How to turn on strictly keep all tabs stays as I left it ?
