Since yesterday, and after updating to a new version (39.0), I am facing a problem with Firefox not loading some web pages, although it can be done with Chrome and Safari. I've tried almost everything which is suggested here and there but nothing works. It would be nice if someone could give me a way out of this problem.

As in title.

First screenshot shows what happens with hardware acceleration enabled, which looks better, second screenshot shows how it looks aliased with acceleration disabled, with the stroke missing in certain places on very light fonts.

However, when hardware acceleration is enabled, if I open very large images or lots of inline images at a time, the browser window will flash white, all tabs will lose their favicons, and the browser must be restarted. For this reason I'm looking to keep hardware acceleration disabled, but use it (or its method) for rendering fonts only, if such a thing is possible. Alternatively I'd like a fix for hardware acceleration causing such behavior, although that seems more difficult.

Cleartype and font smoothing are both on systemwide. Disabling any of them makes the fonts even worse.

Problem is that when I watch a video that is NOT in youtube, there seems to be no sound. This happens on sites such as: twitch.com kissanime.com (In this site the have the option to play videos in HTML5, which works fine) and website with flash games like: kongregate.com

I can't get the View Pocket List option in my bookmarks and this is driving me nuts especially with the add-on removed. So now I have no one-click access to my list of saved items in Pocket. Am using Firefox 38.0.5 GB desktop version at home and Firefox 38.0.5 GB portableapps version at work. Appreciate some help on this matter. Thanks!

Adobe Flash player Crashes

I'm using Windows 7 64-bit, latest version of Firefox.

www.vine.co won't load, it just shows this loading circle you can see in the attached file, forever. The website loads just fine in other browsers.

I've tried to load the website with different profiles, safe mode and even in a different PC. The result is the same.

The strange thing is that I'm able to see embedded vines in sites like Twitter, but if I click the "View on the web" link, it won't load.

Please help me.

I have Firefox Version 38.05 on Windows 7 and have refreshed, tried enabling a new HTTP cache.checked out the add-ons and still having the same problems The above statement about slow loading on my Firefox occurs on my desktop , but not on my laptop Windows 7. I Have tried all the recommended solutions and so far nothing works. Is there a possibility that some other programs could be in conflict with Firefox? This problem has been ongoing for several months and my patience is wearing thin. Any suggestions, fixes or advice? Thank you

Firefox keeps freeing/hanging. First you will see the errors that pop up for me. Then the troubleshooting I have done to solve this problem.

For troubleshooting I have tried the following: disable addon's and restart in safe mode (did not help) disable theme and restart in safe mode (did not help) reset firefox (did not help) uninstalled Firefox & removed all traces of browser from my computer (yes even the registry was removed)

I am not tech savvy but the script errors made me think of Javascript. I went to about:config and searched for Java when javascript.enabled showed up I disabled and the problem has disappeared.

I know I need this javascript enabled. I cannot do much of anything at my site with is disabled.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this script hanging problem.

Please fix Mozilla Firefox. Suggesting that users get rid of skype is not a solution. I have an older computer, and when I use that, I don't have these script errors, apparently because that computer wouldn't accept the latest skype update. So no problem on that one. I need skype on both computers and I can't continue working at the slow pace that this script message is causing.

I don't like the animation firefox's using to go fullscreen. I disabled "browser.fullscreen.animateUp" by changing value to zero. Now the problem is I don't see tab bar when I hover mouse on top of screen. This option is not simply disabling the animation but also my access to tab bar in fullscreen. Is there a work around? Thanks.

HEY! Are you going to fix this problem? It's been nearly a month and no solutions!? It's a really big pain and I will just use another browser if you aren't going to fix it. Please send an update SOON.

The Reminderfox add-on is in my profile, (Users\AppData|Roaming) but it is not in my add-on or extentions list. I lost it during the day, while I haven't updated anything or closed Firefox. One minute the add-on was there, the next it was gone.

When I click on History there's nothing recent at all. And it only shows a whole ton of stuff that's "Older than 6 months". I can't delete them individually and I've tried refreshing Firefox. I also can't see anything recent. I just need to get rid of all the stuff that's there.

I can sort my entire bookmark list by name, but then when I start Firefox again, they are all mixed up again! I want all the FOLDERS sorted so I can find them easier. Now the list has folders, then some urls not in folders, more folders, etc. several times.

I'm getting tired to check the option "Sort by Added" every time I want to see my latest bookmarks, when I select a different folder the view option returns again to "Unsorted"! There is a way to set "Sort by Added" option permanently or workaround available? Thanks

I use FirefoxDeveloperEdition 40.0a2, with OSX 10.10.3. After I set a youtube video to full screen and then return to normal view, the toolbar ( Bookmarks ) is gone. Everything is still set the way it is supposed to ( display toolbar and so on ). After I restart firefox everything is back to normal. I removed all disabled all addons, but it did not change anything. Any Ideas how to solve this?

One installation of Firefox 38.0.5 on windows 8.1 does not display spinner box controls (see attached image). They are there but with 1 or 2 pix height as clicking the grey bar sometimes increases and sometimes decreases the numeric value.

Tried creating a new profile with no addons. Same problem. Haven't tried reinstalling Firefox yet.

This is not a problem with the website as this occurs on all sites with this type of form element.

It is also probably not a Firefox bug as I have Firefox 38.0.5 on Windows 7 at work that displays these form elements correctly.

Zoom (Ctrl +/-) does not change the erroneous appearance of the controls.

Any idea how to fix this?

Just switched from XP to Win 7 Pro. Installed Firefox. When trying to view a composite reflectivity loop (animated weather radar image) on the National Weather Service site, I get an error message that a plug-in is missing, but no other details.
