I have received a "phish"ing message spoofed from one my own (forwarding) email addresses. It asks to click on a link at "Sendgrid.net", which is surely a scam. I created a message filter to catch the text "Sendgrid.net" in the BODY and send it to spam folder but it does not work. I have to conclude that the link is not in the BODY of the message.

Is it possible to make this filter? (The message source is attached)

Since updating to version 80 Firefox no longer connects through my socks 5 proxy and I cannot find a way to set the proxy settings. Typing about:config in the address bar produces the error message "Cannot Complete Request" etc.

Three days ago, Thunderbird started to give me a "Sending of password for user xxx.xxx@gmail.com did not succeed. Mail server pop.gmail.com responded: Username and password not accepted.

I checked that it was accurate in the Saved Passwords panel and it is. I've entered it manually and still get the error message.

When I log onto Google from any browser with this account, it accepts the password. I can then access my gmail account with no trouble. My Firefox password manager shows the same password that is rejected by TB. My Gmail Android app on my smartphone and tablet also accept my logons with the same password. Only Thunderbird doesn't. I've tried deleting my pop.gmail.com login entry and re-creating it under the xxx.xxx@gmail.com account.

I had a Google Security warning 3 days ago, so suspect somebody might have hacked the account, changed the password, but didn't save his new password anywhere, so I have no idea what new password he might have changed it to. I am going to try changing my entire Google password and see if this will allow me to reset the TB password, but any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I have several other gmail accounts on Thunderbird and all of my accounts use the same passwords set for their accounts.google.com under the separate gmail addresses. How do I find out what to do to fix it?

Firefox upgraded recently to 81.0.2. After the upgrade I can no longer connect to my bank’s web site. Firefox displays this failure message:

Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to xx.xxxxxxx.com The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

The bank’s customer-no-service help desk politely advised that their system is working, this is a Firefox problem, check the Firefox browser settings, use another browser.

I am not a browser security settings expert and do not want to be . . . I have no clue as to how to fix this . . . so what do I do?

Can I revert to the previous version of Firefox? How? Thanks.

Despite the fact I have set Firefox in permanent private browsing, I routinely have to use the "Clear Data" command to remove cashed web content. I don't like stuff being dumped on my hard drive. Recently I have been unable to remove some of this cached web content, initially 32Kb, but now it is up to 752Kb - could this be malware?! How can I find out what it is and how can I remove it?

whenever I go to sign in to youtube within a container tab it displays error message "oops". It redirects to the oops page every time (https://www.youtube.com/oops). I've tried disabling all other adds on but this makes no difference. It works fine for all the other google sites I use!

Any ideas on what I should be doing?

The only advice available right now is using Nightly version as if I'm ready to sacrifice stability over about: config access. The main question is, why was it removed? Is it really accessible in Nightly if the advice was for 79 and I'm on 81 already that I guess should have included changes from Nightly of two versions prior.

This morning I only see a white screen logging into FB on my Windows 10 desktop. All other sites seem to be working. I can log into FB on my phone and using Edge (not my default browser). I have deleted cookies and history and tried to "refresh" Firefox without success. I do not use FB container. Please help.

I have been using MOZILLA / Netscape/ Firefox Since 1996/7. Periodically I have a problem . LIKE RIGHT NOW I have to use Chrome to contact you because your latest version is seriously corrupted and under attack from ; "attachappstreams.best You already know that because you've got a web page warning us of it. But you don't have a way to fix it. No matter how many times I delete it. Reboot my Windows 7 desktop. Or open and close the latest version of Firefox. That damn phony update keeps popping up with bells and blue screens and I can't use your browser until YOU GUYS figure out how you screwed up and gave them access. ADD ons and Ad blockers are equally dangerous and I limit them to only 2 for the past 5 years. Get a handle on the is , guys/gals . Or sadly, because I really don't like Chrome. But what choice do I have. FIX IT. IT Quickly. Or you're going to lose serious market share. Just like you did to Internet Explorer 20 years ago.

I found out, that the getUserMedia Promise in Firefox only resolves, if the Tab is active or by clicking on the Tab Instance: (Firefox, 81.0)

navigator.mediaDevices.getUserMedia({ audio: true}).then(() => console.log("done"))

Otherwise, the Promise never resolves or rejects. Is this a bug or a feature, and where is this documented? Is there a media Config setting, to tell Firefox to allow getUserMedia Promise to resolve in non-active Tabs? Otherwise this looks like a bug for me...

I have researched this site and elsewhere, and tried everything I can. Is there a way, in firefox 81.0.2 (latest as of this post according to mozilla) to remove amazon and google from the "top sites" suggestions. For every other website, firefox lets you remove them from the list easily, but not with amazon or google. Ive removed it, deleted all history, clicked the dismiss button, the remove button, nothing, its still there. To prove that its an advertisement by firefox, even when I tried editing the link, firefox simply re-added the original one for me (how convenient!). Ive been with firefox almost 2 decades now, but if they are going to force advertising like this than obviously I need to look into other options.
