My Thunderbird has been working properly for about 30 years, but now refuses to open. Message received says 'Authentication failed'. This happens repeatedly (for at least 20-30 times) and appears to relate to my password. It suggests 'Retry' or 'Enter new password'. The 'Retry' repeats as before so I check the Saved Passwords and enter the one saved. I get the same message. I am using Version 115 and have been for some time.

Could this be related to a change of Profile? There must be a way to reset the password? I have checked all the settings and no errors appear, all settings confirmed.

I have thought about a Recovery Mode and seem to remember seeing a message that I do have that. I just don't know how to access it.

When I want to access a particular page the page appears and then immediately disappears. In another instance I can get to a site but some of the links won't work. When I try and use the link the page appears and then quickly an error 500 Message appears. These problems don't exist If I switch to ms edge. This of course is a pain to have to switch prowsers to reach these pages particular with the site that I can enter but can't use some of the links. Would really appreciate your help

I have a YouTube loading problem, it works on all other browsers except Firefox. When you go to the YouTube homepage, the whole screen is blank with black and grey colours, on the homepage no video loads, no words on the screen, no ads, just blank. it works like normal on Chrome,Opera,Internet Explorer.

I am on windows 8, all blockers are off, on the latest version 115.9.1. no other problems on my PC.

Any ideas, Thanks

Help me get my right panel, that dissapeard back to right side where it belongs. It Disappeared!!!!!!!!!!!! My screen is filled them links!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm 77 years old and have liked and used firefox for as far back as I can remember. I've read many posts that have said they have the same problem!!!!!!!! I really like Firefox and don't want to switch to another browser, but looks like me and many other dissatisfied customers to do also.

I cannot find an option in the settings to completely turn off translations. I vastly prefer English, Dutch, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese websites in their original language simply because I can read them and translated versions always have issues. But now firefox (I am on version 119, windows) continues checking (and asking for each language) wether I want something translated. How can I turn translations off completely?

How can I stop certain emails going directly to trash?

ever since i was in Portugal, and a repairman needed my phone to access our contract for a car repair, my web pages constantly show up in Portuguese. no matter what i set my page to, and it SHOWS it is set in English, i still keep getting pages opening up entirely in Portuguese..and have to work my way thru to reset it BACK to English.

what  is going on ?

When Firefox first runs, it works properly. All menus appear properly. At some point after use, a hour or so, all the menus stop appearing. The main menus, right click context menus, hamburger menu, all stop showing up. Even the pull-down menu on this website for "Which topic best describes your question" fails to appear, though I can select an answer by clicking on it and using he down arrow.

Hardware acceleration does not affect it. The problem occurs whether it is on or off. Nothing fixes it except shutting down and restarting Firefox, and that is only a temporary measure, as it inevitably happens again after some use. z

Updating graphics drivers does not fix it. It has been happening over the last three sets of Nvidia driver updates.

Sometimes the menus temporarily return, but soon go away again. They are gone far longer than their short returns.

I was on a teams meeting because I wanted to do a study session with someone on another country. As part of the homework I needed to do, I needed to listen to some audio. I changed my windows audio devices to output through the Communications device for the headset. Then I played the audio on a tab. The audio played for a few seconds before stopping again.

I understand that this is behaviour intended to let you take a call or meeting without having to manually pause any open tabs you might not have at hand, but I would like Firefox to understand I really want that audio to play without thinking it knows better. Is there any way to disable this behavior?
