Firefox version 89.0.1 is not handling frameset src. No redirection to src.

This code is generated by my ISP's domain name frame forwarding software so I have no access to how it is generated ie: I am in no position to use iframes.

I should point out that this worked last week no problem. I had my settings on auto update so maybe an update has broken this I don't know.

Below is the code. It works fine in Chrome, MS Edge, Safari and Opera. Which tends to suggest that Firefox is the problem.

Note that this is exactly what I see when I view the page source in Firefox. There is a frame tag commented out. I don't know whether that is how it came from the ISP's server or whether Firefox has commented it out on receipt.

How do I get around this?

When I clicked the "Repair folder" button on the Inbox folder, all emails from 2018 were gone. There were many emails, and they are valuable.

Also, the Inbox file in the profile folder has decreased in size many times. Is it possible to recover these emails?

There is no backup of the main file. Inbox.msf file only. I am also attaching a screenshot of the Inbox file code. Almost all of the code looks like the first screenshot. In the second screenshot, the code at the beginning of the file is where such characters begin.

I have one computer in my upstairs office and other in the basement. I use Thunderbird on both of them as my email client for several email accounts. What I want to do is sync the Address Book and Calendar between the two computers. Firefox has a sync feature that works really well to keep Firefox synced to all of my computers, tablets and phones. Is there something similar for Thunderbird.

I can no longer send email from my Thunderbird POP gmail account. I can receive but not send. When I try to send, Thunderbird immediately gives me an alert reading "An error occurred while sending mail: The mail server sent an incorrect greeting: +OK Gpop ready for requests from [my ip address] k16mb102005795ool." (The numbers following my ip address are always different.) I am using Windows 10. I have been using Thunderbird for many, many years and have never had a problem. I have several other email addresses on Thunderbird but they are all IMAP - and they all continue to work just fine.

I have had PCs for years and have used Firefox. My PC died and will not boot. I have an image of my C:\ drive on a Passport disk. But the Mac will not read it. I installed Firefox on my new Mac and signed in had all of my bookmarks and passwords. Then there was a Firefox icon on the bottom strip and one on my screen. In the interim, I opened some new accounts and used a bunch of passwords. At the end of the day, I dragged the icon on the screen down to the row of icons at the lower screen. That wiped out my Firefox. I downloaded Firefox again and put in what I thought was the password and it said I had multiple accounts and if I changed the password it would erase all of my data. I need to find out how to get the right password so I preserve my data. The email account I used as the ID is coolsgirl@msn.com. I am 72 and I don't want to make a mistake that is irreversible. My sister said Macs were easier but I should have gotten a new PC. Live and learn. I don't know my Firefox email. Thank you, Phyllis

Recent error occurring coincidental to updating to Thunderbird v.78.11.0 (32-bit). Windows 10 OS.

Occurrence is 3x in past three days, when copying multiple (4, 7, 8) messages from Inbox ("IMAP") to a Local Folder, there's a glitch, the loading spin-wheel shows up, messages disappear from Inbox, but don't show up in the destination folder. Either waiting for the process to continue to interrupting by exiting the app doesn't seem to make a different. Either way, outcome is the same, the subject emails are no longer present in Inbox, and do appear in the destination folder, however, the attributes of the emails (Subject, Correspondence, and Content) are all blank, and Date has been changed to the day/time of the attempted/aborted drag&drop operation. I will attach a screenshot of end result.

Did a few DuckDuckGo searches, found a few similar Bugzilla reports (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=520478) from several years ago, however, unable to ascertain from them a cause or identify a remedy, if available.

Any advice for a non-coder computer novice forced to use his PC for some workplace functions during COVID work-from-home? This is a first time glitch for me using TB - only recent system change has been use of a home VPN for Internet access (from vendor Bitdefender).

Hi, since the last update from v77 to v 78 Im having troubles with the printouts. I have many mails with more than 1 receiver. When i click on print it only shows one receiver on the paper. Also on the print preview there are only 1 CC,BCC. I already tried to go back to v77 but this didnt help. I use an exchange mail adress connected with ExQuilla, i never had this problem it worked fine for the last 2 years. What could i do? I need this function

So, since this has now happened to me a few times, I'm asking for help!  :) Thunderbird 78.11 - have used TB for many years, happily. I customarily keep several tabs open - for emails I need to reply to, at some point, or that contain something I'll come back to. This morning, of the 6 "open" tabs, 4 of them were not the emails I'd put there, but older ones totally unrelated to anything. In other words, only 2 were ones I'd put there, the other 4 (which were there last night) had "changed", somehow, to different emails. I hope I'm making sense! As I said, this has now happened a handful of times - not consistently and with no discernible pattern. Thunderbird is always open - so it's not a matter of restarting/reopening (and the tabs usually stay in place when I do that anyway). Open to suggestions - and appreciate any thoughts!

Since the upgrade to version 78 all incoming messages in my inbox become drafts.

They have a "this is a draft message" warning on the top and if I open them I find myself editing a draft message addressed to myself.

Curiously as soon as I move them to some of the local folders the nonsense stops and get become normal incoming emails again.

Amid countless issues I have with the new Android version of Firefox, a few stand out as most important:

The tab system. I can no longer move tabs around, this was an essential function. Also, they load from the bottom, even though I immediately switched my address bar back to the top. Also, they don't fill the whole screen. Why? The order of the tabs is newest on top. This makes no sense. Newest tab should always be on the bottom of the list.

Opening a new tab. In the old version, I just had to doubleclick the tab next to the address, and it opened a new tab in less than a second. Now I have to hold the button down and then press again for new tab. It's so much slower.

Bookmarks. In the old version, I could swipe left or right on the new tab screen and go into bookmarks/history immediately. Now, I have to open them through the menu. Also, they open very slowly, 3-4 seconds or so, instead of instantly. Another thing is that the size of the font in bookmark tab is bigger for no apparent reason.

Overall, it's a worse user experience in every way I can imagine. The only thing I don't hate about it is that they didn't remove the option to put the address bar back on top. The old Android version was almost perfect in my eyes, with only 1 issue I can even remember having with it, and it wasn't that important. It's a shame that it's been discarded for this mess.

Background: I have several identities. One is for my university, and I sometimes have to write mails to some people there. My default mail address is my private one, and I have forgotten to change this on multiple occasions now, sending people in my university mails from my private account.

Question: Is it possible to change the default sender identity based on what domain I enter in the To box?
