I am having the same issues as the person in this thread, but unlike their situation, firefox has not fixed itself out of nowhere. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1104044

Everything in the firefox browser looks like it was stretched it out in MSPaint, while my actual OS interface and every other app/software UI looks fine. I have tried simply restarting my computer, as well as every solution in the linked thread, as well as refreshing firefox, and uninstalling/reinstalling, which only served to mess up my shortcuts on the home page. To be clear:

  • Hardware acceleration is turned OFF, as suggested in any thread I've found where a resolution issue is addressed.
  • setting layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to 1.25 specifically makes it almost legible. Almost. It's still incredibly grainy. Any higher even a small portion of a webpage takes up a ridiculous portion of my screen, rendering it just as unusable.
  • In messing around in config, I found that setting gfx.color_management.rendering_intent to 5 helped, in so far as it sharpened things up a little, but it did not FIX the issue. Any value above 5 seems to have zero effect or change.
  • Absolutely EVERYTHING else except firefox looks absolutely fine. It is ONLY firefox that is having this issue of all the applications/interfaces on my computer.
  • Everything in firefox is affected- images, text, the tabs and address bar, bookmarks bar, absolutely everything.

hello everyone; i have a strange issue with my yubikey and firefox on redhat linux 8. (i can't upgrade to red hat 9 and it's technically oracle linux)

its works fine for the first x hours (where x is usually between 1 and 3 hours) and then firefox will invariably stop recognizing the yubikey touch. yubikey works with any other application in that journalctl shows that systemd is aware of it's existence when i plug/unplug it and i get a string in my terminal and text editors whenever i touch they key both before and after it stops working with firefox.

i've tried these things but the behavior is still the same: - regenerating my ~/.mozilla configuration directory - toggling all *webauth* keys in about:config - switching from yum to flatpak firefox installation - switching from gnome to kde to xfce - switching from Wayland to X11

there are no error messages; journalctl doesn't show any either; and chrome doesn't seem to have this problem, but i don't trust chrome and, interestingly, chrome exhibits the same behavior when using xfce.

the only thing that works reliability is rebooting each time it happens and, as you can imagine, that's 100% intrusive and i lose all momentum in my productivity.

here's details on my system:

Firefox version: 115.10.0esr (64-bit)

OS: Red Hat Enterprise Linux release 8.9 (Ootpa) Oracle Linux Server release 8.9 5.15.0-205.149.5.1.el8uek.x86_64

X Windows info: gnome-session-wayland-session.x86_64 3.28.1-21.0.1.el8 @AppStream libwayland-client.x86_64 1.21.0-1.el8 @AppStream libwayland-cursor.x86_64 1.21.0-1.el8 @AppStream libwayland-egl.x86_64 1.21.0-1.el8 @AppStream libwayland-server.x86_64 1.21.0-1.el8 @AppStream qt5-qtwayland.x86_64 5.15.3-1.el8 @AppStream xorg-x11-server-Xwayland.x86_64 21.1.3-12.el8 @AppStream

I have support licensing from both Oracle and Yubikey and i've asked them for help and they both point the finger at each other so i'm stuck with this; any help would be appreciated!

Hello people of Firefox,

I'm attempting to deploy Mozilla to our android devices using MDM but need to be able to use our organization's Certificates.

I know I can manually go into the secret menu and set it to use third party CAs and that works but when deploying to over 500 devices that's not feasible...

Is there any configuration keys I can access to be able to remotely configure the application to use third-party CAs? (These are normally referred to as key-value pair)

Thanks.

This AM I was able to check / get e-mail five (5) or more times. Then clicking 'Get Mail' displays; connecting to mail.duo-county.com After 15-20 seconds connection to server mail.duo-county.com; Timed Out

I know of NO changes to any setting. When our e-mail was set up, we were told to set we were told to use Pop-3. Our ISP, who does NOT use NOR 'know' TB said we should be using IMAP, could NOT help review nor doing anything without risking ALL folders - files-data!

PLEASE help ASAP. Since we can't get - check mail I'm LOST! My spouse's e-mail is wpj@duo-county.com

How do I search for emails by IP address? It works wrong for me because of the dot?

I am having older Thunderbird 102.13.1 and when i input into a search field for example: 37.19.223. or "37.19.223." or "37\.19\.223\." it always stupidly and uselessly output tons of messages that contains unrelated IPs:

([76.223.177. [10.223.144.96]

highlighting number 223 as if i have searched just for this number 223

I think that it is reasonable to expect from TB to output only search results where email contains 37.19.223. without any hack, escaping or regex or whatever (if you know a workaround, please kindly share it).

Maybe newer TB works better? Anyone tried? If it works same way, can you please kindly ask developers to fix this?

Hello, All

I need major help, please.

I am getting the attached messages when trying to send an email. Thunderbird worked perfectly yesterday morning, but then would not send any emails. I get emails, but cannot send from my 2 accounts.

I am on the latest version of Thunderbird, Supernova 115.10.1

Also, I cannot find out where to change my password for the accounts, because at times I need to fill in a password. I can't find it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Best, Leslie

I am encountering a peculiar issue with the "Reply to All" functionality in Thunderbird, which I believe may be a bug or an unintended behavior within the application. I hope you can provide guidance or a solution.

Issue Description: When I attempt to "Reply to All" to an email that I previously sent (which is the last email in a conversation thread), Thunderbird automatically alters the sender's address. Specifically, instead of maintaining me as the sender, it changes the sender to the one (or the first one, if there's more) of the original recipients' addresses. As a result, the email appears as if it's being sent by the recipient back to themselves. This messes with the recipient's folders and rules, as the message has no indication it's been sent by me. This happens when I initiate the "Reply to All" action from the Sent folder on emails where I was the original sender. This only happens in one of the email accounts I'm using in Thunderbird, and it's a POP Mail Server type account.

Steps to Replicate:

Send an email to one or more recipients. Go to the Sent folder and open the email that was just sent. Click on "Reply to All." Notice that the sender's address is automatically changed to one of the recipients' (typically the first one, if there are more recipients). Expected Behavior: The sender's address should remain as my email address, not change to a recipient's address, ensuring the email is correctly identified as being sent by me to the other recipients.

Troubleshooting Steps Already Taken:

Verified that no extensions or add-ons are causing this behavior. Checked for any relevant settings within Thunderbird that could influence this behavior but found none. Updated Thunderbird to the latest version available. I would appreciate any advice, solutions, or workarounds you can offer to prevent Thunderbird from automatically changing the sender's address in this scenario. Please let me know if there are any logs or additional information I can provide to assist in resolving this issue.
