While away from my computer for a few days, Thunderbird stopped retrieving new emails. I noticed this when I returned. I'm using imap to download from the server. Logging in to the server via browser shows that there indeed new emails. Quitting Thunderbird and restarting results in showing old emails and a spinner (slider?) on the Inbox tab that never stops. I have not changed configuration recently (I was away when this started). I followed a suggestion to delete cert9.db, key4.db, and logins.json. Doing this and restarting changed nothing. My understanding is that this should have deleted my server password information, but I was not prompted for a password on restart. I have uploaded a snapshot of the "Troubleshooting information" tab to pastebin:

All of a sudden, since yesterday, I cannot send any emails via TB since I upgraded to the 115-version. I've never experienced this before using TB.

Sending emails elsewhere from - by directly logging in to hotmail or from my phone - is no problem whatsoever.

But on TB115, when attempting to send a mail, an empty pop-up window appears with the headline "Enter credentials for (my emailaddress) on smtp.office365.com", before closing again. After a short while attempting to deliver the message, an error box reads: "Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.office365.com timed out. Try again."

SMTP settings: Outlook.com (Microsoft) smtp.office365.com Port 587 STARTTLS OAuth2

Any solutions?

Windows 8.1, Firefox 99.0.2, eMail program part of Microsoft Office365 (deployed by university IT department) Login process worked fine for a month or so after implementation of a 2-level authentication (password plus a second method of user's choice - I chose a USB-flash device which [on request] sends a code for 2nd verification). All of the above still works, except that once logged in, the system asks me if it should remember me, or not (i.e., store a cookie or not, for future convenience). I always click "No". Now, when I do that, I get an error number 500, which is completely non-committal: "Something Went Wrong" - with a long garbage code. (See attachment for sample.) Results of tests to see what's wrong: 1) works fine (able to complete eMail login) under Microsoft Edge; 2) works fine on my laptop, running Windows 8.1 and Firefox 94; 3) on the 'problem' computer (desktop), I uninstalled Firefox 99 and downloaded/installed Firefox 93 - "500" error persisted. Just today: removed Firefox/Mozilla (including all folders/files, and Registry entries) then re-installed version 99. Still doesn't work. Let me know what else you need to know.

Hi Support team,

I am looking for an option to add a user's online archive mailbox to his Thunderbird client. I tried adding it as a separate account with "/archive/" as the IMAP directory, but that didn't work. Is there any option to get this done? Please help if any.

Thanks in advance, Pramod
